It’s depressing at this stage, I’ve lost all hope really. I get the appointment of Ole after failing with established managers (ok Moyes!), personally I was against OGS, he’s a good man but United need something more.
I read recently how SAF pondered if Sheringham could handle wearing the United jersey and the expectation that goes with it, some players, possibly too many for too long have tipped the scales the other way.
The decline is rapid now, mediocrity beckons for the distant future, the club might believe it has a vision, even leadership.
It hasn’t and until it reinvents, remotivates and repassionates itself-the sorry saga of the once ‘mighty club’ will continue.
