Scoutcast discuss Aguero rotation and budget defences

The Scoutcast is back once again to cover the key discussion topics ahead of Gameweek 11.

David will be joined by Az and current FFS Mods and Cons joint-leader Andy Goddard this week.

The show will run from 20:00 GMT until 21:00 GMT. You can watch it on our YouTube channel.

Up first, the Scoutcast crew will reflect on a Gameweek 10 fraught with contrasting emotions.

Andy did exceptionally well – David and Az did not.

Then, moving forward into Gameweek 11, we will tackle the Manchester City rotation debate, how seriously to take Leicester’s recent form and whether budget defences are coming back into fashion once again.

Man city so dominant in possession it's like their playing a formation that has 6 midfielders and 4 forwards only.

Nice team. I have Aubameyang and definitely looking to offload for Vardy. However, your team looks pretty strong and you might want to considering holding. Option C looks the best if you have to go with one. Id hold to see what happens in tomorrow's games. If united come out unscathed Aubameyang + Cantwell to Rashford and Martial??

Agreed, I did the same. Your team looks good though and its a pity Aubameyang has been so poor, (blanks against You, SHU and CP). Other option....Lacazette?

Wonder if Pep is resetting his team again tonight, hence playing both Jesus and Aguero.

Aguero back in for PL games vs Southampton, Liverpool and Chelsea.

Jesus in for CL against Atalanta and Shakhtar.

Against a low block with 3 CBs, Aguero has to start at the weekend.

There wont be much running or pressing for Jesus to do, finding space where it isn't will be needed and there's no one better for it than Kun!

This. Breaking it down tactically and in a football manner is the only way you can even begin to try to predict Pep's deployment of players.

Seeing posts on here saying "oh aguero must start if hes subbed off on x minute" is so predictably naive...

    From GW12 and onwards. A, B or C?

    A) 6.4 forward, Salah, Sterling (3-5-2)
    B) Kane, Salah, Martial (3-5-2)
    C) Firmino, Vardy, Sterling/Mane (3-4-3)

Leaning towards B. Mainly because of City's bad fixtures and good captaincy choices in Salah and Kane. KDB will stay in the team ofc.

I’m having 2nd thoughts about going Otamendi > Mendy.
Look past Southampton game. Not sure I want a City defender for the next few after that.

I may hold Otamendi and just hope he starts , have Söyüncü and Lundstrum as backup.

Otherwise will be a big downgrade to Rico or Lascelles
