Yes it’s Tuesday, and yes you are reading the Fantasy Football Scout Guide to Gameweek 15.
With less time to ponder transfers and delve into the stats, thankfully one decision is relatively straightforward – handing Jamie Vardy the captain’s armband. The Leicester City marksman is top of the captain poll with a whopping 55 per cent of the vote.
In his members-only Captain Sensible article David offers much more than just armband recommendations. He assesses the credentials of the best attacking players and considers which ones have an opportunity to turn underlying stats into points by casting his eye over the fixtures.

Greyhead last week dared to suggest in his the Great and the Good article that Mark and Ville should buy Vardy. At least one of them listened! Ville sold Abraham as part of a hit to acquire the in-form Foxes forward. (Yes, you read that right – Ville took another hit). However, will he regret selling the Chelsea forward with an enticing home clash against Aston Villa tomorrow?
Neale brought us the latest team news from across the Premier League, Frank Lampard had this to say today:
Yeah (he’s coming along) okay. We’re giving him every possible chance to be fit. He’s still got some pain in the area of the injury so we’ll make a judgement call tomorrow. It’s one of those, it’s painful for him. So it’s a bit of a pain threshold thing, does it affect his movements? As I said, I wouldn’t want to commit today.
– Frank Lampard
Interestingly Neale has included Abraham in his predicted line-ups.
Amongst other players under consideration for Gameweek 15 is Wilfried Zaha, with Pro Pundit Andy starting a hot topic and a discussion between Joe, Sam, and Az on Monday’s Scoutcast. Crystal Palace are currently second in the fixture ticker and, as Sam mentioned, Zaha is looking better in recent weeks following an indifferent start to the season.
Dele Alli’s performances under Jose Mourinho have thrust him into the spotlight. A player Az picked as his differential last week, many are now considering him over teammate Son Heung-min. This includes Pro Pundit Tom Freeman who has Alli at the top of his watchlist.
Spurs players caught the eye in Neale’s lessons learned from Gameweek 14, with Serge Aurier in particular prospering under the new manager. The shock result of the weekend was Chelsea’s home defeat by West Ham, but Neale had some comforting words those with Christian Pulisic in their squads:
Pulisic owners can console themselves with the fact that the American international was at the heart of some of Chelsea’s biggest chances.
– Neale Rigg
Andy is considering taking a hit to acquire Pulisic, who is also included in the Gameweek 15 Scout Picks. The team came in £2.0m under budget as cheaper options dominated.
With player value at the forefront of their minds, rotation and benches were debated ahead of the festive schedule by the Scoutcast. Sam revealed she’s benched 176 points due to high-scoring cheap defenders. This has allowed her to invest more money elsewhere in her squad and understandably given her a benching headache.
Az also launched a hot topic on festive differentials.
Two excellent community articles were penned in the last two days: do not despair if you have a poor rank there is hope as RubberDucky can testify – he jumped from 1.3million in Gameweek 9 to 50,000 overall in Gameweek 13; and Kroos Kontrol opened debate on the FPL Bargains Team of the Decade.
