The Dugout Discussion opens for the concluding fixture of Gameweek 34, which sees 17th placed Wigan Athletic travel down the 3rd placed Arsenal. The team news for the game is in, and the sides line-up as follows…

Arsenal XI: Szczesny, Sagna, Djourou, Vermaelen, Andre Santos, Song, Arteta, Walcott, Rosicky, Benayoun, van Persie.

Wigan XI: Al Habsi, Alcaraz, Caldwell, Figueroa, Boyce, McCarthy, McArthur, Beausejour, Moses, Di Santo, Gomez.

A single change from the side that brushed Wolves aside for the Gunners, as Tomas Rosicky comes in for Aaron Ramsey in midfield.

Despite condemning Manchester United to only their fourth defeat of the season, Shaun Maloney isn’t in the visitors squad. Jordi Gomez replaces the Malaysian born Scot.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open and can be accessed right here.

A broken leg really makes such a massive difference to a player's mentality, even when they get back on the pitch I still regard it as a career ender in a lot of ways.

He was excellent this time last season, literally carried the team. I think he might have suffered from too much game time and reliance earlier on in the season. I actually do still rate him.. next season may be better for him.

Was thinking the same thing. Scared of not owning any City players going into that Wolves-game. Original plan was Walcott -> Dempsey this week though..

    ok Corrigan

    how about this

Sess, RvP and Rooney to Dempsey, Aguero and Tevez.

Or do I ship Theo instead and keep Sess for his GW36 home game v Bolton, though I then have an issue over who to bench assuming I ship McClean for a DGW mid.

Swap Theo for Sess and I agree with this move. Many will scoff, but this is the first time RVP has been sellable. Rooney has just scored a couple, so no knee jerk there.
