Fantasy5

Back your Fantasy know-how for the chance to win £10k with free-to-play game

Sponsored by Fantasy5

There are a lot of Fantasy games out there at present but how many will let you enter a team for free and still offer a substantial weekly cash prize?

Fantasy5 does just that.

The easy-to-play Fantasy game uses a familiar, FPL-style scoring system and comes with the incentive of a whopping £10,000 prize every week.

Best of all, it won’t cost you a penny to get involved.

How to Play

The rules are simple: enter a team by picking one player from each of the five nominated fixtures each Gameweek and, if they all exceed their ‘points target’ for that match, you’ll be taking home all – or at the very least a share – of the money.

There is no budget in Fantasy5 – if you wanted a team packed full of the big names, then you’re free to do so.

Naturally, the so-called “better” players will have a higher points target and Fantasy5‘s projections are a good indicator as to who is expected to perform well on any given matchday.

For example, this weekend, Kevin De Bruyne will have to score in excess of 12.5 points in Manchester City’s clash with Leicester City if the Belgian is to help you on the way to the jackpot.

James Rodriguez will only have to better his points target of 8.5 against Crystal Palace, meanwhile, and a clean sheet should see Ben White over his more modest projection of 5.5 against Manchester United.

Fantasy5 are the fastest media outlet for live Fantasy points, displaying all player points from the five games in question as well as the live score and time – as shown in the above image.

The competition is limited to one entry per person per round and selections must be submitted before kick-off of the first eligible match.

If two or more entrants correctly select five players who all score more than their points target, then the prize pot is split among all winners.

For a full list of the terms and conditions, click here.

Scoring System

If you know anything about Fantasy Premier League, the Fantasy5 scoring system is easy.

Quite simply, it’s FPL without the bonus points.

For newcomers, players gain – and lose – points in Fantasy5 through the following outcomes:

ActionPoints scored
Playing up to 60 minutes1
Playing more than 60 minutes2
Each goal scored by a goalkeeper/defender6
Each goal scored by a midfielder5
Each goal scored by a forward4
Each assist3
Clean sheet by a goalkeeper/defender (must play 60+ mins)4
Clean sheet by a midfielder (must play 60+ mins)1
Every three shots saved by a goalkeeper1
A penalty save by a goalkeeper5
Missing a penalty-2
Every two goals conceded by a goalkeeper/defender-1
Yellow card-1
Red card-3
Scoring an own-goal-2

Our very own Andy and Gianni have had a go at picking five players for this weekend’s round of Fantasy5 fixtures – you can see who they plumped for below:

Of those choices, B. Wood and Barnes are good picks. But I would want Son in my team.

That bench may have nothing on it in a few weeks if PVA returns, Ferguson has a set back and Sheffield United sign a new forward.

Need a bit of cover with Fodence there

Ye Son is worrying me a lot.

        I can do the following;

        James + Saiss + Foden --> Lamptey + Taylor + Son

If Foden plays I rate him higher. Son is a great player, but some forget Tot looked awful vs eve and sou first half.
Because of their bad defence and high line Son got lots of space. Cant see that happening vs other teams soon.

I can't really fault it since it is the same as mine! Only difference is I have Lamptey over your Reece and still on the fence over Foden vs JRod

Cant really fault it. No Spurs but the way your structure is can get them in in two transfers
I would be tempted to go VVD instead of TAA and get Rodriguez removes one no starting doubt.

    Martinez (4)
VVD - James - Saiss (Lamptey, Mitchell)
    KdB - Salah - Podence - Foden - Havertz
    Werner - Jiminez (Brewster)

Leicester City centre-back Jonny Evans has picked up a thigh strain while on duty with Northern Ireland, leaving him "distraught". ... Northern Ireland's manager, Leicester-born Ian Baraclough, said he did not want to risk Evans in case the injury worsened and ruled him out of October's international break.

Oh dear. No Pereira, Evans, and Ndidi. Absolute thrashing incoming. Which 3 City attackers do I get?!

Yeah but the value of Foden has me on him. Kinda want to drop KDB and have the front three but he'll probably be at #10 anyways. Hopefully Werner matches Jesus

It's tricky and I agree that Foden is the value option. Having, three City mids probably isn't the best plan either so yeah it looks like it is a choice between KDB and Sterling with best City triple up being Foden, Jesus and KDB/Sterling

            • 3 Years

Nothing wrong with triple City MID imo, KDB is KDB, Sterling is the main goalscorer and a massive flat track bully, Foden is excellent value right now. Not having Jesus doesn't please me but hoping Werner matches him for the next few.

Robbo - Semedo - James (Lamptey, Ferguson)
    Sterling - KDB (C) - Foden - Podence - Rodriguez
    Werner - Jimenez (Brewster)

Bar a possible Rodriguez to DCL, I am satisfied. Back Sterling to outscore Salah for the next 4, and I'll captain him twice to Salah's 0.

Just looking at Bale's and Ivanovic's history. Forget Yale Lectures on the First World War, this is where the real history buffs spend their time 😉

The great thing is that FPL appear to retain all the overall records and combined with Transfermarkt's week by week history, we can delve deep into nostalgia corner.

The only thing missing (without screenshots) is our Gameweek history points and teams. Frustrating that stuff isn't archived

The articles on here at the moment, and since the tail end of pre-season, have been appalling.

The last three things I've seen when logging on have been:

    * This Fantasy5 stuff
    * Some fluff about the Sky game
    * How mindfulness can help with FPL

What happened to Big Numbers, Say What?, Lineup Lessons and all the good old useful articles. Most of the Pro Pundits articles, save for LR's, tend to be devoted to what the individual is doing with their own team - honestly, who cares?

No chance I'll be renewing next season.

Competition offerings are getting far better as well.

Is TAA really worth 0.5 more than Robbo? Robbo seems to be taking his fair share of indirect freekicks/corners. Yes TAA has the chance of scoring off a direct free kick, but is it worth 0.5 more?

I was thinking the same. Robbo wasn't far off points wise last season at all. Nor was VVD.

This could be my team without TAA

        Martinez
        Robbo, James, Saiss
        KDB, Salah, Hamez, Podencinho
        Jesus, Jimi, DCL
        (Peacock, Burke, Mitchell, Ferguson)
        0.1 ITB

Or you could just Rodriguez > Foden and then Robbo > TAA and Mitchell/Ferguson > 4.5

That's what I had. The only thing that keeps putting me off this is Foden's rotation. He has Bilva AND Mahrez who could play in his position.

Once you start thinking that way then the logical conclusion is to get VVD

What’s happened to the Captain Poll? It’s horrendous!

Will it be changing back to as it was before?

    How is this looking,G2G?

    Martinez (Nyland)
    TAA - Digne - Justin (Ayling,Mitchell)
    Salah - KDB(C) - Bruno - Hamez - Foden
    DCL - Bamford (Brewster)

have felling GW2 WC teams with suffer this GW(Son and Havertz out) but with so many options this season it will be roller coaster

Downgrade Digne to James and upgrade Bruno into Sterling

I would be very happy with them scoring a brace, owning all three.

Is it worth going Werner on WC with the plan to downgrade to Jimenez?
Or just go Jimenez as he can easily match him vs West Ham.
Planned transfer doesnt seem to work since always something else that pop up with more importance.
Im captaining KDB anyway this week but I could understand those who are confident on Werner (C).

Jiminez as Werner needs time to gel with the squad, give him 5 to 10 games I'd say.

Is it me or Castagne and Semedo is a better value than TAA?

Im keeping money itb to do James to Castagne, will give James at least 2 games. I think TAA will outscore all players less than 7.5, mids, fwd, so he or some Liv-defender has to be in team. Freekicks, corners, crosses(a lot of them). 7.5 midfielder with cs potential. I like what I have seen from Castagne and will surely get him soonl, but now its Man City so he can wait a little.

It's not as simple as 7.5m defender vs 7.5m mid .... spending 1.5 or 2m less in defence can be used elsewhere to make up the points that the cheaper defender loses to TAA

If Spurs play 3-4-3 next week, I'll want Reguilon/Doherty. Seems unlikely though, but if they play that in the EL then I'd have a few key questions to answer!
