Comparing Kane, Son and potential replacements as I plan for Spurs’ fixture swing

Fantasy Premier League managers need to start making a plan for their Tottenham Hotspur assets as their incoming fixture-swing approaches.

Leading the way with their 71 points each, Harry Kane (£11.0m) and Son Heung-min (£9.6m) have been the catalysts for success during the first seven Gameweeks but that may not be true for much longer. 

Many of us will be relying on Jose Mourinho’s men yet again this weekend as they travel to face an out-of-form West Bromwich Albion side – but we cannot allow ourselves to get too attached.

From Gameweek 9 it will be a case of form versus fixtures as we see Spurs run into Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool in four of the five matches between Gameweeks 10 and 13.  Even though owning both Kane and Son has been almost essential in the early weeks of the season, I definitely think it is time we seriously examine the merits of keeping the pair beyond Gameweek 8.

      I'm happy to sell both.

      Will want a city mid in for son and kane is too expensive to own if I don't plan on captaining him.

        But they are not expensive?
        I bought Kane 10.5 and Son for 9.0..
        Rashford was 9.5, Bruno was 10.5..
        I mean.. It's not like Kane is 12.0, and Son is 11.0 .. .. .

      I'm definitely not ridding of both. They're the best performing FPL players so far this season and quote comfortably.

      I'll get rid of Son for to enable KDB to come in. But will be keeping Kane for the foreseeable.

      Good morning to you 🙂 I agree with you. I believe that spurs (just like wolves) will actually be better assets now. I think it will suite them quite nicely to ccounter attack instead of playing against a low defensive line. For now am quite happy to keep Kane, Son and Jimenez. If others sell it will make them more differential. I might be wrong of course, I hope I'm not.

    In normal years (i.e. with better defending), Kane averages almost one goal per game vs. Arsenal, and one goal every two games vs. Chelsea and Liverpool. He hasn’t done well against City, but they are a shadow of the themselves this season.

    TL;DR I wouldn’t be so quick to jettison Kane.

      If you go with A, you may as well keep him for City's great run of fixtures. If you are happy with your City assets from GW10 on, then go B - any reason you prefer Fornals over Bowen?

          Re stats, there's not a lot in it; expected data, Bowen looks better but not by much. There may be a chance that Bowen plays up top if Moyes doesn't trust Haller which just swings it for me.

      Very similar position. I think that I'm selling. If we're loading up on City in a couple of weeks then Foden is probably not the bloke we want - he's far too omnipresent in the Champions League for my liking.

      I've done something similar to B (Puli to KDB & Trossard to Biss) and will play Soucek. I guess it depends on if you want to put more money into defence. Have you considered downgrading one of your pool defenders to upgrade Puli?

    Struggling to decide between playing Dallas (Palace away) or Watkins (Arsenal away). Feel Leeds have a better chance of keeping a clean sheet than scoring against Arsenal at the moment but I could be completely wrong. Anyone else in a similar situation? Going with Dallas at the moment..

    This delicate planning reminds me of GW1 and GW2 ... granted more information is readily available this time yet it was disaster for me. EVE were key in early GWs and they will have FUL GW9. Hamez and Richarlison could be easily overlooked, just saying!
