It depends. If there are no midweek games and you want to get a player/get rid of a player before price rise/drop, it's worth it.

If there are crucial midweek games or IB, there's always risk of injuries.

I guess its fine to drop Salah considering I won't captain him much over next 10 GWs or so.

Obviously it will be good to have him for that run if possible.

      You won't captain vs Fulham?
      That game is TC material

Thats one game plus WBA, not worried about any other games.

Vardy vs Brighton and Kevin vs NEW are decent alternative in those weeks.

He's most reliable © in the game mate.
I know you like to play your way but I wouldn't sell Salah especially if he's back vs BHA

His price is an issue. No matter how much reliable he is or any other player, I don't feel like spending that much on one player for long term 😀

Dropping him makes it easy to get players like Bruno and Vardy which won't happen if I stick with him. I mean if I don't get rid then I wouldn't have anything to do in upcoming weeks. Team looks fairly settled 😆

I think the opposite way. The whole reason that I'm willing to invest 12m in Salah is because it is for long term. With him and Bruno I am essentially playing a 9 man game with no transfers ever required for the 10th and 11th men. That is what you're paying for and what the reliability translates to. Bringing him in and out defeats a part of the reason to pay 12. whatever for a player.

I just don't like looking at same premium player for more than 6-7 GWs. Makes me feel that I'm not really doing anything, feels boring.

For example, in current scenario if I keep Salah, add Kevin and Bruno by next week. Attack will be sorted. Nothing major to do after that. Doing some defensive transfer is hardly exciting 😀

I wouldn't recommend anyone to drop Salah but my need for excitement is a pain.

That is going to be tough in the current situation. I have 5 assorted flags. The idea of bringing in a player with a plan to sell several games later or selling a player with a plan to bring back several games later isn't on my radar at all and things probably won't improve much in coming weeks. Just going to focus on keeping and getting players that bring some stability to my team so I can use the FTs to fight the inevitable fires

The thing with Salah is, he's captain material every week, especially at Anfield.

Which means he's a good backup option in case your captain gets injured/suspended/covid.

bha, ful, WBA, new, BUR - He's surely captain worthy in all these games.

Glad I saved my 2 FT...

    McCarthy - Steer
    Chilwell - Cresswell - Justin - Shaw - Ferguson
    Salah - KDB - Rashford - Podence - Anguissa
    Kane - DCL - Wilson

0.5 ITB, how do I spend them?

If Salah and Chilwell are both to miss 2 GWs, would you WC? I'm genuinely happy with rest of the squad so I wouldn't be making too many changes.. Except for KdB/Sterling in for Son which was my plan for GW 10.

I have Bissouma and KWP to cover for them. FT was used to get Chilwell for Trent.

BIssouma (avl, LIV) and KWP (wol, MUN) just don't look good. Plus that's 18m+ on the bench for 2 weeks.

    Martinez | Forster
PvA Lamptey Taylor | Justin Lewis |
    Mane KdB Bruno | X | Soucek
    Vardy Richarlison | X |

    A) Grealish + Brewster
    B) Berge + Watkins

      Thursday...
However PL protocol is self isolation for 10 days after testing positive. He tested positive on Friday so that counts him out for Leicester game as I understand it.
Laporte & Mahrez were examples earlier in the season from memory.
Interestingly there has been no official confirmation that he's definitely out due to this, which is confusing.
I seem to recall something about requiring 2 negative tests before reintegrating but I'm not sure exactly what the situation is.

It's all speculation until it's officially confirmed.

Should we start to build our teams with atleast two decent players or bench?

I could bring in 6.1m striker to cover Salah this gw, but It would reguire hit and benching headache for the future.

Or is the playing bench new must?

    And last, Watkins or Bamford?
    Thx!

More than 5m on 8th attacker and 4.5m on 4th/5th defender is really not worth it. You just have to find value in those price ranges.

      Watkins over Bamford for me.
