The draw for the first round of the 2019/20 FFS Cup FFS Cup

After a record number of entrants for the third Fantasy Football Scout Cup, sponsored by Paddy Power, over 1300 fantasy managers fell at one of ten stages leaving just one to claim the top prize.

Joining FFS Cup I winner donnellyc and FFS Cup II winner Jonty, gooner dave takes his place in our Hall of Fame, becoming the first winner from the continent. Saving his biggest win for the final, he absolutely trashed tippman 69 – 36…

In a reasonably low-scoring week, a double-figure haul from Samir Nasri, an eight and a nine point return from captain Carlos Tevez and Paul Robinson respectively, saw him ease over the line with an excellent score. So, along with his second top-scorer prize, gooner dave receives a free £200 bet courtesy of Paddy Power, meaning he comes out of the competition with his pockets lined with £250 worth of free bets.

In contrast, tippman had a miserable week. When Paul Konchesky is your top-scoring player, you can’t really hope to beat anyone. Couple that with the most, erm, surprising choice of captaincy I’ve ever seen in Raul Meireles, and the runners-up prize of a free £100 bet courtesy of Paddy Power, looks a welcome consolation.

Elsewhere, in our 3rd place play-off, The Von successfully used an eight-point hit to narrowly beat DRP 64 – 61 and claim a free £50 bet.

Well that’ll do it then. Thanks to everyone for taking part, I hope you enjoyed it whilst it lasted for you, and thanks also to SUPERIOR BEING for his help throughout.

Coming Soon: The Fantasy Football Scout Cup IV…

    Krygiakos or Konchesky?

I want the greek , but worried he's a rotation risk. Just think whilst he's playing he's gonna outscore Konchesky 90% of the time.

Was there a Chelsea press conference earlier? Ah I remember the days when everyone would wait with bated breathe for Carlo's team announcements. Anyone with a Chelsea defender was already mentally totting up the 6 points in advance and the Malouda and Drogba owners could rest easy and wait for the points to come rolling in.

Then Boswinga came along and look what happened since. 🙂

I'm keeping hold of Jarvis. Once you've taken a punt based on fixtures, you may as well see it through to the bitter end. His next three are BIR, wba, WIG. If you thought highly enough of him to pick him, as I did, then I think you need to keep him for games like that.

So I say, if you really have nothing better to do and don't fancy keeping your transfer, 1. I would expect it to work out.

    Lost on last post,

    Robbo
    Rafael Cole Coleman
    Dunn Nasri Nani Ethers N’Zog
    Drog Carroll

    Carson Konch Tevez Kolarov

Would anyone Get Rooney in for Tevez (4pt hit) and bench N’Zogbia?
Was going Drog to Roon next week anyway, so could do Drog to Tevez next week. Thoughts appreciated.

Sounds like a plan.. I'm doing exactly the same thing, although with Torres not Rooney. A little worried about benching N'Zogbia given his consistency, but Everton are due a decent result. 2-0 Everton I reckon, and 2 points for N'Zog.

Only difference between our dilemmas being that I have Odemwingie and you have Carroll.. Odemwingie being a doubt means that I can't really afford to have Tevez and Kolarov on the bench. And I don't lose any money on Tevez. What about you?

Because I have to play Etuhu. So I'm thinking get rid of Tevez for Odem and get rid of Elmander next week for Tevez.

OR get a midfielder in for Etuhu but there's not really anyone I want.

I'm all over twitter and the like trying to find out info on good old Peter. But there's nothing out there other than that comment on the facebook group.

I'm not overly concerned about him missing out, N'Zogbia is a perfectly adequate replacement. I'm just hoping that he doesn't come on towards the end, like he did vs Citeh a few weeks back.

With it being a derby and all that, I doubt West Brom will come out with concrete news on either Brunt or Odemwingie, I'm sure they'd rather keep Villa guessing.

Tchoyi is big mystery to me, looks nothing like a winger but got a good shot coming in from wide areas though.

Yeah I thought he was hopeless against Newcastle to be honest! Obviously aside from the goal which he took very well. Astonished that he was given man of the match by the announcer.

He got MOTM at the ground also. Was hopeless until he scored, after that he looked more comfortable, had a decent second half.

ya, I think that's what JP means, at the ground, but when I flicked on Andy Gray was saying something to the effect that "that just typifies his day" when he miscontrolled a pass, by all accounts he wasn't great at all, and then I was confused when I heard the ground announcing that he had been MOTM.

Probably didn't do anough "fizzing" for Andy's liking no doubt. Take a bow son.

Ivan will at least threaten from set pieces, don't fancy Jara to score more, Chelsea, as we have said above, are still Chelsea.

    Robinson
    Coleman Dann Cole
    Nani Nasri MGP N'Zogbia
    Elmander Carrol Rooney(C)

    Al-Habsi Adam Simpson Jara

Right subs/order? Adam vs N'Zogbia is quite a tough one.

VDV is fit and will play next week "for sure" according to his dad. Spurs just didn't want to risk him yet.

He did, but had already served his suspension for 5 bookings. He picked up two in the Carling Cup, I think, so the yellow against Citeh was his seventh of the season.
