The draw for the first round of the 2019/20 FFS Cup FFS Cup

After a record number of entrants for the third Fantasy Football Scout Cup, sponsored by Paddy Power, over 1300 fantasy managers fell at one of ten stages leaving just one to claim the top prize.

Joining FFS Cup I winner donnellyc and FFS Cup II winner Jonty, gooner dave takes his place in our Hall of Fame, becoming the first winner from the continent. Saving his biggest win for the final, he absolutely trashed tippman 69 – 36…

In a reasonably low-scoring week, a double-figure haul from Samir Nasri, an eight and a nine point return from captain Carlos Tevez and Paul Robinson respectively, saw him ease over the line with an excellent score. So, along with his second top-scorer prize, gooner dave receives a free £200 bet courtesy of Paddy Power, meaning he comes out of the competition with his pockets lined with £250 worth of free bets.

In contrast, tippman had a miserable week. When Paul Konchesky is your top-scoring player, you can’t really hope to beat anyone. Couple that with the most, erm, surprising choice of captaincy I’ve ever seen in Raul Meireles, and the runners-up prize of a free £100 bet courtesy of Paddy Power, looks a welcome consolation.

Elsewhere, in our 3rd place play-off, The Von successfully used an eight-point hit to narrowly beat DRP 64 – 61 and claim a free £50 bet.

Well that’ll do it then. Thanks to everyone for taking part, I hope you enjoyed it whilst it lasted for you, and thanks also to SUPERIOR BEING for his help throughout.

Coming Soon: The Fantasy Football Scout Cup IV…

Elmohamady out for Glen Johnson, what do pople think? Losing patience with the Sunderland man and Liverpool have tast fixtures ahead, Johnson looked a threat going forward versus Villa.

    Hart
    Salcido Coleman Jara
    Cahill Nani N'Zogbia Nasri
    Drogba Carroll Elmander
    Sub: Foster Adam Dann Jones

    Evening All,

I have been trying to decide which player to get this GW & so far i'm stuck with either:
    Adam > Etherington -- I'll have to bench N'Zogbia
    Drogba > Torres
    Carroll > Balotelli

Last option is to save my transfer and do nothing

    Any suggestions pls?

you can field a decent starting 11 this GW so the temptation would be to leave it.

in a similar boat myself and the ONLY move i am looking at is Drogs > Torres - whether it is this week or next i am not too sure.

in theory the earlier the better to maximise points and the differential.

        Thanks
Both Carroll & Drog have bad fixtures in the next few games so replacing either of them looks like the best solution. Only reason i have not done it yet because they are both good players and can score against any team and if i do go ahead and bring in a new striker, their replacement might do f*ck all this weekend. That is why i'm currently thinking of getting Etherington[only problem is he's also got bad fixtures after this weekend ]

Wish I could wait til 11.25AM tomorrow to make transfer but bloody time difference means I have to do it by midnight tonight at the latest. I'm 5 hours behind and there's no way I'm getting up at 6AM on a Saturday! Anyone else in the same boat?!

Johnson's a good shout, then. The man below who makes no sense is making sense - I'd worry about him long term but if it's only a short punt then you'll do well and be using your budget.

Shame really, a Cole, Coleman, Kolarov defence is classy, in an alliterative sense.

well, if your ink is your team, why not bench, mummy, kolarov and jones

all better options then the ones your suggesting,

BUT out of those 3 carrol then malouda, not nasri

mummy will be swapped for someone that plays football.. then Kolarov will be benched along with Enrique. Jones will have to play as my defence is weak and I need 3 defenders... so that then leaves one more bench spot for Carrol I guess....

Thanks for the feedback, guaranteed Carrol scores now!

I see the Scouts have Jo taking Tevez's place, is there any solid basis to go on this? Been looking everywhere as I made the mistake of bringing in Milner who I thought would be a regular a couple of weeks ago.
Doesn't Mancini prefer one man up front perhaps meaning Balotelli might be in the centre and Milner in, or do you see Jo as a straight swap with Balotelli remaining at RWF?
Any scouts or other knowledgeable chaps input definitely welcome. I know Milner was a bad signing (he's scored 5 & 1 for me) and he will be replaced - its just I have Barton (doubt) too to worry about and dont want to take a hit (or even do a transfer) unnecessarily)

Do you have the old Fallout? Really good but not really a straight forward shooter.

You could get Reach, but it's different to CoD. Zoom controls are pretty annoying.

Not much point in getting much else FPS wise. How about a driving game? I'm a big fan of Blur, and it's ~£10 on amazon.

I know it was highly rated but I really wasn't keen on RDR.
Soops right though, tell us a couple of games you like

I don't 🙂 Never play football games, and I have reach and MW2. might pick up black ops if I see it dirt cheap.

Its not that good Soop, hold off. Well its the multiplayer that lets it down so if you want it for a solo game its a 6 - 7 out of ten.
My favourite games for the PS3 I've been on lately are MW2, FIFA 11, Fallout 3, Drakes Fortune, Oblivion.
Biggest let downs have been Black Ops and Red Dead Revolver.
Ones I want are Heavy Rain and perhaps the new Gran Turismo though its reviews are poor.

Pretty good, from what I've heard. Still some doubt though so I wouldn't transfer him in - but if you already have him don't get rid.
