The draw for the first round of the 2019/20 FFS Cup FFS Cup

After a record number of entrants for the third Fantasy Football Scout Cup, sponsored by Paddy Power, over 1300 fantasy managers fell at one of ten stages leaving just one to claim the top prize.

Joining FFS Cup I winner donnellyc and FFS Cup II winner Jonty, gooner dave takes his place in our Hall of Fame, becoming the first winner from the continent. Saving his biggest win for the final, he absolutely trashed tippman 69 – 36…

In a reasonably low-scoring week, a double-figure haul from Samir Nasri, an eight and a nine point return from captain Carlos Tevez and Paul Robinson respectively, saw him ease over the line with an excellent score. So, along with his second top-scorer prize, gooner dave receives a free £200 bet courtesy of Paddy Power, meaning he comes out of the competition with his pockets lined with £250 worth of free bets.

In contrast, tippman had a miserable week. When Paul Konchesky is your top-scoring player, you can’t really hope to beat anyone. Couple that with the most, erm, surprising choice of captaincy I’ve ever seen in Raul Meireles, and the runners-up prize of a free £100 bet courtesy of Paddy Power, looks a welcome consolation.

Elsewhere, in our 3rd place play-off, The Von successfully used an eight-point hit to narrowly beat DRP 64 – 61 and claim a free £50 bet.

Well that’ll do it then. Thanks to everyone for taking part, I hope you enjoyed it whilst it lasted for you, and thanks also to SUPERIOR BEING for his help throughout.

Coming Soon: The Fantasy Football Scout Cup IV…

      Bring in Cahill for Ferguson
Elmander > Carrol (Elmander at home could get no goal at all, Carrol has new-manager-syndrome and think he will score..)

He's been protected for the last week or so, so is in no danger of falling. His NTI is positive for the day so there is no chance of him falling tonight, unless some crazy stuff goes down like with Milijas earlier in the season.

    A. Drogba to Torres
    B. Malouda, Carroll to Bale, Torres (hit)
    C. Do nothing

    Team in link.
    Thanks
    -------
Overwhelming support of A so far, just afraid Drogba will "come good," tired of waiting though! I suppose Malouda would be enough Chelsea coverage in case they bounce back? No love for B, but I agree it's not worth a hit. No other pressing transfers this week, cause I think I can make it with Foster to the wildcard (by then Krul will have lost his spot). Malouda will likely go next week for a 'big hitter' once they're fit (such as Fabregas, VDV, Gerrard or even Lampard).
    -------
So pretty much: should I drop Drogba for Torres?! Can definitely see him scoring a few goal for his baby against a Newcastle club in disarray.

I'd save the transfer this week personally.

Too much counting chicken where Newcastle are concerned imo. They may well come out of all of this fighting, and i'm still far from convinced by Liverpool and Torres.

After much deliberation i'm gonna captain Nasri this week. Lack of alternatives is the main reason, but after reading his response to Evra's b*tching, i reckon he'll be well up for it. Mostly a lack of alternatives though.

    Foster, Krul
    Kyrgiakos, G.Cahil, Dann, Samba, Salcido
Bale, T.Cahill, Nani, Nasri, Scott Parker
    Drogba, Elmander, Carrol

    Curently bench: Samba, Kyrgiakos, Parker

All players are potential point-scorers, but my dilemma is Kyrgiakos vs. Carrol and Samba vs. Elmander...

Scott Parker could also be nice, because of trouble in Citys back four...

    Watcha think??

Paddy dies and goes to hell. The Devil shows him 3 doors.
"Choose one and you'll spend eternity there".

Paddy looks behind door 1. Boiling water was dropping from the ceiling. 2nd has hot coals on the floor to walk on, 3rd door has an old man getting a BJ from a busty naked blonde.

    Being smart Paddy says,
    "I'll take door 3".

The Devil taps the blonde on the shoulder and says,
"You can go now, Paddy's taking over".

Want to get T Cahill in. Is Jarvis definately out? Originally wanted to do NZogbia out but this Jarvis injury has me thinking.

You could save your transfer and do 4-4-2.

I was thinking that as well KC. I just think Cahill could run wild.

      A) Drogba > Rooney
      OR
      B) Adam > Cahill

I just don't know how much longer I can keep Drogba.

Considering most shots will land in the middle of the table I make no comment that Frank is sat there. 😆

        current lineup

Dempsey at home is definitely better than Carroll at home.
