Friday night finds Mark Sutherns back alongside Andy for another members-only chat to ease us into Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek 7. You can find this latest video over on our YouTube channel.

The video is an exclusive for Premium Members – and there’ll be plenty more to come in 2021/22.

This week’s episode begins with Mark stepping aside to allow Andy to enjoy the glory of a huge green arrow from Gameweek 6, as a 69-point return put him inside the top 200k.

From then on, the pair embark on their preview of Saturday and Sunday’s fare as they discuss the recent rash of defensive injuries, the lure of the Wildcard and – once again – the appeal of the Chelsea and Manchester City rearguards.

As usual, they also review their own line-ups, with Andy enjoying a purple patch and the luxury of rolling two transfers over the break, while Mark is rather pessimistically bracing himself for another red arrow.

    With this GW in mind and also medium term as trying not to we next week, which would you prioritise?

      Worst case you have only Livra starting. Coufal touch and go. Alonso 50-50. Wolves fans saying Ait Nouri should get gametime soon and Marcal has really stuggled defensiveily last couple.

      I'd keep Trent If you don't have WC left. Coufal to Rudiger?

      You have two raging fires with Jota and Greenwood but sacraficing TAA which will miss one GW?

      Plus James a rotation headache on the bench.

      Seems you are just worstening your problems with the moves you want to make.

        Jota is hardly a raging fire, and by selling TAA and keeping Jota, then he has one extra playable player should there be rotation.

            Have two free transfers. Just did James to Rudiger. Will sit in the other one for now, Sarr or Greenwood could become Raphina next week or Jota/Greenwood this week

    bottomed.. Can't decide on whether to do Ronaldo to Lukaku to a hit. Based off the models Lukaku should outscore Ronaldo by a point on average (so 2 given you'll captain him) and it allows me to use a transfer the next week on bringing Cancelo in. Comes down to if I'm going to WC in 8 or not because if I am then the hit isn't worth it, but otherwise I think it is.

          All hits in isolation are bad on paper. They rarely ever work out in one week but it's always about the long term

            No they are not.

            You need to decide If you WC in 8 or not. Ronaldo to Lukaku in 9 the other option.

              Almost all* then. You're never making up the 4 points on average in one GW because even someone in a bad fixture will average between 2 and 3 points and only the very premium players average more than 6 so anyone else you get in to replace one player will not make up the 4 points.

              And yeh, if I'm WC in 8 I agree it's a terrible move due to what I said above. Probably leave it till right before the deadline tomorrow!

        Not sure why you think it's sideways. I expect Lukaku to outscore Ronaldo by more than points in the next 5/6 GW's and that's not including captaincy. Seems like a move that's going to payoff in the long run

          Your choice. You miss the point of it being for -4.

          Lukaku and Ronaldo blanked GW6. Lukaku has blanked two on the trot. 3 in 5 matches. He ain't getting service either.

          It is a bad move for this GW IMO.

            You seem to miss the point of the fixtures improving for Lukaku too. Blanking against Liverpool and City has nothing to do with what he may do in the next 5 or 6.

        Because if I'm not WC next week, I think I'll want to take a hit at some point to catch up. Next week I want both Cancelo and Lukaku... I'm always playing catch up, so it's better to take the hit asap providing I think Lukaku has a higher points potential this week than Ronaldo (which I do)

          With an IB coming id say you're better off saving the hit this week and banking the points. You can always take the hit next week instead, provided none of your squad pick up injuries on international duty, and if they do you'd probably want to wc anyway

      Realistically, regardless of quarantine rules he can't realistically play a match for Brazil at 1:30 Friday UK time, then 15:00 Saturday for Leeds.

      He'd have to go back early and miss the last Brazil game.

      It's all speculation, mixed in with some comments Tuchel has said.

      We've performed a bit pooly in the last two, vs. Man City & Juventus, but still only conceded 1 in each.

      Mount missed those two and it's just reminded us how important he is for us.

      As a Chelsea fan I'm not too concerned in the grand scheme. Could see something being freshened up but it's also a bit weird to did it just before the IB. Fresh players won't even have a chance to get rhythm.

        The issue is Alonso might not stet. Jota might not start. Even Traore might not start. Bissouma might not even be fit & Livramento is not a good sub this week.

        Jota has City, then WAT off the back of an IB when Firmino will have been rested. Jota's xG aside...

          I don’t get the hype to sell jota yet, he could still play a large amount of mins even with firmino about. At his price in that team he’s a hold for me

          I’m confident Traore and Jota get some mins, and even if reduced their fixtures are great. You almost certainly will get a full defence out too. I wouldn’t take the hit personally

          I’d really not happy with it though the hit I would dislike the least would be Bamford Bisouma to Toney Gallagher (if that’s affordable)

            I kind of forgot Mané had long IB travel (red list?) & that's now put him back in the picture for that Watford match, which I'd kind of written off.

              Ah hadn’t clocked the Mane travel, guess that’s good news for Jota owners. It’s a tough week for injuries and rotations for many, it may well be that those 4 points are better off banked, that’s how I see it. But follow your gut at the end of the day!

        Agreed with this. If you're happy to go without TAA long term then A is potentially fine, but it's not worth it if you'll want him back

        WC played GW4. Went fine till DCL, then Bamford, then TAA etc all randomly got injured 🙂
