Burnley v Southampton kicks off at 19:45 BST this evening and brings Double Gameweek 33 to a close.

It’ll be a strange evening for fans of the Clarets as this will be the first home match without Sean Dyche at the helm for the best part of 10 years.

With no permanent replacement yet appointed, caretaker boss Mike Jackson takes charge of the hosts for the second time.

He’s made two changes to the side that drew 1-1 with West Ham on Sunday, with the hokey-cokey continuing at right-back as Connor Roberts comes in for the benched Matthew Lowton.

Jackson’s other alteration is enforced as Josh Brownhill is recalled to replace the injured Ashley Westwood.

Ralph Hasenhuttl sticks with the same side that beat Arsenal on Saturday, so that means another benching for Tino Livramento and Che Adams.

Fantasy interest, at least in the top 10k, centres around the two sides’ forward lines, with Armando Broja and Wout Weghorst sitting in 63% and 45% of the leading FPL squads respectively.

GAMEWEEK 33 LINE-UPS

Burnley XI: Pope, Roberts, Collins, Tarkowski, Taylor, Cork, Brownhill, McNeil, Cornet, Weghorst, Rodriguez.

Subs: Stephens, Lowton, Lennon, Hennessey, Long, Costelloe, Barnes, Vydra, Bardsley.

Southampton XI: Forster, Walker-Peters, Lyanco, Bednarek, Valery, Perraud, Romeu, Ward-Prowse, S Armstrong, Elyounoussi, Broja.

Subs: Caballero, Salisu, Redmond, A Armstrong, Long, Tella, Livramento, Adams, Diallo.

I hate taking early hits folks, but I’m feeling pressured into this one ?

    Mount is rising tonight

I have the exact money now to swap Rudiger and Raphina to Cancelo and Mount
    Should I do it ?

The plan was to get Havertz before Rudigers injury

Have to keep one to play against Man Utd:

    a) Martinelli

    b) Lacazette

    Best midfielder up to 5.7?

Had been thinking Martinelli, but having second thoughts on his playing time now. Why was he dropped against Chelsea?

Nketiah was good. Perhaps he has been training se well, that he deserved a chance. Now he played so well, that it could be his spot to lose.

Nketiah took Laca's spot tho, not Martinelli's. ESR started on the left wing.

Good moves, just wondering why you’ve gone with Havertz instead of Mount?

      1. Flynny
        • 10 Years
        3 years, 8 months ago

Simply because havertz had some rest last night and Mount didn't

Lukaku seemed ineffective and don't see how tuchel can't play havertz with top 4 still to play 4

No idea on the havertz v salah captaincy

        Salah could destroy Everton. Thanks

Fair point, I just read that Havertz isn’t playing as centrally because of Werner so won’t get as many chances but the fact he’s rested will probably swing it for me too.

I stupidly bought Maddison last game week and made him captain with doubling instead of Salah but I’ll prob do it again and go for the double haha.

            • 10 Years

Mount v havertz and the captaincy with salah are 50, 50s....so needs an element of luck....

Definitely need a bit of luck but think I’ll ignore mount rising tonight and then get Havertz to captain, hope we both make the right decision.

No I thk Brownhill is better...He got x2 assists tonight and plays very easy teams....Alos can’t afford KDH...0.1 too much.

Ah OK I thought you had both Kane and Werner, it's a tough one with the doubles coming up in DGW36 to sell Kane, plus he plays one of his favourite teams in Leicester next week where they'll be focused on the EL. I'd lean towards holding. If you don't still have BB I'd downgrade one of JRod or Pukki too just to have some spare funds available, you won't need them all this late on

          1. StingRay
            • 10 Years
            3 years, 8 months ago

            Thx for your advice.

I thk Kane too...v consistent lately ( bar Brighton fiasco).

I’ve heard some people are thinking of captaining Kane in GW 35.

Not sure Werner’s all that anyway...good at hitting the post.

I do still have my BB....but good point about downgrading to free up funds.

My worry atm is Alonso not playing.

      C.

Only have BB (GW36), no WC to set up. Is it worth taking out Rudiger even though they double in 36 for Cancelo? I already need to take out 5 other players between now and 36 as well. Also, we don’t even know when Man City will double.

I mean it's a punt, he's so hard to predict. He should have scored a few yesterday and had one of the worst misses I've seen this season, can be prone to getting booked. But he's looked lively too and has a double-digit haul in him. See how things go in the lead up and how the table looks. 2 home games is definitely a positive since they're pretty solid there and pretty bad away from home
