Everton v West Ham team news: £4.0m Emerson benched

Gameweek 8 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) concludes this afternoon, with Everton v West Ham United getting underway at 14:15 BST.

Frank Lampard makes two changes to the side that drew 0-0 with Liverpool in Gameweek 6.

Asmir Begovic comes in for the injured Jordan Pickford, while new signing Idrissa Gana Gueye replaces Tom Davies in midfield.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, however, fails to make the matchday squad.

As for the visitors, David Moyes makes one change, which sees Aaron Cresswell start at left-back.

That means £4.0m defender Emerson Palmieri drops to the bench.

    I'm impressed with how well people are taking the Son goals here, congratulating people on well played etc. In reality it was a poor decision on grounds of lacking research that turned out incredibly well, I'm not able to not be at least a little sour about it 😉

      I'm not a stats guy but more about eye test, and my eye test told me he'd been really unlucky so far. Shots hitting posts, teammates not finding him while free, good runs not being picked up. Which was down to spurs as a whole not being great. It was a punt, yes, but not such a poor decision as you say.

              Thought he would score the most points of the available options. Didn’t really fancy KDB (who’s also something of a minutes risk) against Wolves, which turned out to be wrong, but you can’t legislate for someone being sent off. Who else would you go for aside from that among the midfield pool, with no games for Sterling and Bruno, and Bowen so out of form? Saka perhaps, but I already had 3 Arsenal. Thought Son would at least get a return, but yeah, obviously wasn’t expecting a hattie

      Previous winners of FPL have often talked about keeping good players with good fixtures even with poor FPL returns.

    I think I am going to wait one GW holding on to Maddy, Bowen & Foden. But for GW10 I will remove one of them for Zaha.

    Which one would you remove?

      At least mark went differential. I’m sitting at a mill and can’t budge and that was with a close to template team. Same ole sob story every week. Can’t buy a break. Think I need the IB just to forget about it for a fortnight. There’s guys in one of my ml who haven’t looked at the team since week 1 sitting g around 50k. Beginning to think the more you try at this game the worse you become

          It doesn’t have any bearing on the game next month because of ‘rest’.
          It showed where Pep’s mind is at as to who the ‘big boys’ are in that starting XI.
          KDB, Rodri, Bernardo & Foden all came off once the game was win to avoid any injury = those are his ideal starting players.
          I may be wrong, but I’d bet good money on those all starting v Man Utd (barring injury of course)

              I do think he is a good option going forward, yes.
              You are getting a City forward for 8mil who looks like he’s going to start 3 out of every 4 games (and come on in the 4th too).
              But the only guy I prefer right now is Zaha in GW10
