He’s basically a traffic cone as soon as he gets into the final third though - nowhere near good enough for a CL side, though I do agree he’s better than Dalot.

I think it would be James if both he and Enzo were on the pitch together but until it happens, it's just speculation which Poch would go with. Enzo has mostly only taken them in shootouts for Argentina but has a good record. James, on the other hand could possibly be team Captain when the season begins so that could put him above Enzo

United don’t have the firepower to put score opponents like Liverpool. Lots of 1-0s -and 1 goal leads got us where we are in recent times. If Onana isn’t shot stopping he better be PERFECT in the other aspect or United are in trouble.

I rate his ability to keep goals out, the other parts of his game have long since been known. If you swap for a keeper that does the other bit great then you’re still missing a complete goal keeper.

His shot-stopping is way below average too. There were 17 other keepers who outperformed him last season, and he’s been poor since WC2018.

I really don't get this passing thing for Onana. Okay cool he will have a higher baseline BPS than De Gea but if they don't keep cleansheets it doesn't matter and even when they do keep cleansheets Onana's passing doesn't necessarily mean that he'll beat the attacking players to the bonus points.

      1. Zimo
        • 7 Years
        2 years, 4 months ago

Attacking players couldn't beat Shaw. How will they beat someone who'll be higher than Shaw. Only Bruno and Hojlund can go above Onana with a goal. Rashford will need 2.

I warned that United could be more attacking and less defensive. We are seeing this right now against Lens which has led to the first goal.

The problem is Mount goes too far forward leaving a gap in midfield which Lens have broken through and created several chances. Also been happening in previous games.

Jesus and Nkunku injured, United options looking iffy, TAA not very appealing. Is it starting to look like Salah is worth it? I haven't had him in a single draft but spreading the funds doesn't feel as good with doubts surrounding lot of the popular 7.5-9.0 options.
