          It won't be zero.
Either the 9 or he will be deemed not to have played and Salah comes into play.

"or he will be deemed not to have played"

That's what I meant by zero. The same sort of zero Trippier and Haaland got this week.

Think this is a good reminder how important it is to have a solid bench player or two. Super jammy but just crazy how things can so easily happen.

Agree with the principle but sometimes you have to ride it out - two of my bench are on one week suspensions after 5 yellows so I was hardly going to replace them.

      yes.

I have noticed that sometimes the fpl page can display old data, unless you close and reopen it.

Example, sometimes you won't see flags, need close the page an reopen then they appear etc.

Its possible he was on an old page and it did not register.

Idk exactly how it works, but he probably had the tab on his iphone or something just always open, and used that.

I always religiously reload pages in fpl when picking cap or playing chips etc.

I think the most sensible thing to do is to wipe the points today, but give points in the replay.

But I think what they'll actually do is give the points from today and not the replay.

So don't confirm the FPL points for Bournemouth or Luton players until a Premier League official decision is made. Adding points for a match that has a likelihood of being made void seems silly. If there is a decision not to replay and honour the score when the match was stopped, then the points should be added.

It's a game. They update using the information available at the time. Next thing you'll be saying is they shouldn't give minus points when it's clear a Red card is going to be rescinded

My guess is they will award the points from today and when the game is replayed it won’t count as a game for the purposes for FPL. Hence why Solanke etc. show as having played 90 minutes on the FPL site.

Don’t think they can complete the GW without 90 mins being shown.

Not sure that means the points stick.

    4. Salarrivederci

And what with FPL points in the replayed match, cause no matter how they do that it would be a mess.

This is only being discussed due to Solanke 9 points. That's actually the only reason every player from that match is not on 0 points and the fixture scrapped from the GW-fixture table in FPL.
I can understand why. I don't mind whatever happens with the points this GW. Solanke can have the 9 points. They can all have the 0 points. But should they leave FPL points as it stands whatever they do next (unless clubs or PL decides no rematch) will be a comedy in a fantasy view of things.

I would personally find it comical if Solanke have a DGW with points in both matches if his points stays tonight. Also I would find it comical if BOU - LUT played a 90 minute rematch fighting for 3 points, and none of the points counted in FPL due to FPL pleasing the Solanke owners this GW.

Why would the points stand if effectively the game didn’t happen?

The game gets pulled from this game week and rescheduled to a later gameweek.

        1. Salarrivederci

I agree. I think that would make most sense. Also what will happen in the real world.

But in FPL as things stand right now. Solanke has scored a ghost goal. The only place Solanke is on 9 goals in 23/24 season of PL is in FPL.

He has only scored 8 goals in real life.

          1. On The Up

Yes and players in real life have different amounts of goals and red cards to fpl when they get changed after the gw

      2. Scalper
        • 9 Years

I don’t think it’ll necessary be impossible to still give the points in the replay. Why not? Managers will have plenty of heads up. Every FPL manager has a fair chance to get those players in for the gameweek, which will be weeks/months away.

        1. Salarrivederci
          • 9 Years
          2 years, 12 days ago

But is that not comical to you, that the only reason to do this is because Solanke was on 9 points when match was abandoned?

If he have had a yellow instead of the goal and had been on 1 point, then every Luton & Bournemouth player would have been on 0 points right now. Fixture would have been scrapped.
The only reason the create a new special rule (lets call it: 'abandoned matches with a popular FPL player returning a big score') regarding abandoned matches is solely and utterly due to Solanke.

        happens with assists every week

But they have rules for assists, and the team did actually score a goal.

Bournemouth have scored 21 goals in 16 fixtures in PL right now.
Solanke has scored 8 goals in PL right now.

Solanke have scored a ghost goal number 22 for Bournemouth in FPL. And a ghost goal number 9 in FPL.

Unless PL and clubs or whatever decides this 1-1 is the final result, then his goal today is only represented in FPL.
          That's the difference.

the points should be awarded (imo)… owners picked Solanke on the merits of him playing this game, he only played 60 mins of which, so potentially has missed out on more points… points being awarded would be fair compensation

if they’re not awarded then that is such a disadvantage to owners for something completely out of their control, and a let off for non-owners

I get that there are 2 viewpoints to this, just giving mine by way of venting haha

What if he was going to score an og & pick up a red card before the game would be over?

The game didn’t exist. If it got postponed due to snow in the 2nd half, they would remove the points. Similar scenario.

I can't believe FPL (Not EPL) has no rules about how to proceed if a match is abandoned midway through. Its crazy that we are I don't know how many hours later on and no one knows what's going to happen. Shambles.
