As soon as Liverpool game finishes I’m making transfers. Watkins will drop, Salah will rise very quickly this week!

    -4

Gordon & Watkins to Salah & Muniz

        I know!

I’ve still got about .4 in the bank for any changes but hopefully I don’t need to use it!

With injuries happening left right and centre, I just can’t go any earlier!

Gordon looked a great hold but it was turbulent times yesterday.

Man of the match and sent off within 5 seconds of each other!

Tell me about it, had eyes on Everton at home but weirdly the suspension then made my decision to sell Gordon a much easier one.

      Watkins out Yes
      Salah in Yes

How much funds do you have left as I would
keep Gordon possible on hold - only missing a week
& electric yesterday with good fixtures with a SGW player
      at the moment

It’s either Gordon or Foden to fund Salah. Now that Gordon misses the best game in the next 4 it’s a no brainer.

Newcastle are riddled with injuries and looked awful before that mad last 15 minutes at the end.

Newcastles best fixtures are 35 onwards and I still have WC to use so would bring him back then.

Fulham away, Spurs at home & Palace away are tough fixtures!

    A. WC
    B. Soucek > Palmer for a hit
    C. Doughty > Bradley for a hit
    D. B and C for -8
    E. Do nothing

    Dubravka
    Gabriel Gusto Maguire C.Richards Doughty
    Salah Son Maddison Bowen Soucek
    Haaland Isak Muniz

WC already consumed Watkins > Isak

WC, FH, BB available, 1.0 ITB

    Up to £9.4m to spend

    Have Haaland and Muniz.

    1ft, Watkins to

    A) Isak
    B) Mateta
    C) Solanke
    D) Semenyo

    ... with a BB34 in view.

Or I could roll and look at Darwin or Jesus for gw32.

It's too tempting to go with Isak home to Everton on Tuesday night. What would you do?

    1. Mozumbus

If you’re planning for BB34 then Mateta or Solanke would be the best choice.

Isak feels like a 1 week punt as the next 3 after Everton are rough.

I hear you but as a straight pick and with Sheffield United in gw35 and then Burnley, Brighton and Brentford with a double too against Man Utd you'd think he'd be the better value for the entire run in.

Muniz can become Semenyo by gw34 too.

That'd be harsh for such a great caliber
From FPL perspective, many would be fine if that happens after he scores two or three goals
20 minutes is a lot of time for non owners to fret about

Son cappers had a good sleep I believe after a late respite

Should have stuck with the initial thinking and remained firm on a Palmer captain.

I flipped and flopped between Son to Salah with the slight injury issue Palmer had had.

I did the same! Brought in Palmer this week, stuck the arm band on him and then switched to Son, only a 5 point swing but things are so tight at the moment!

Both strong options but with Wilson out and Ashley Barnes looking so strong on his return I'm leaning to Isak.

... of course it's easier to go to Darwin Nunez if you haven't tripled up on Liverpool.

          It looks strong

The front 7 virtually select themselves plus 1, unless you go for Nunez?

Then just slotting the other players in.

I'd probably avoid Man City defence tho.

If you're spending any money on one it's VVD.

I'd had Martinez all season and moved him and Moreno out on my wildcard so that missed some clean sheet points.

It's a bit of a lottery but Wolves have options.

You could double on Arsenal defence if you don't double on their attacking options.

Thomas Tuchel is the most annoying & the most contemptible manager in the world today.

He made his wife very sad, couldn’t win the CL with Psg, destroyed Chelsea in his final year there & now making the German champions look like a heavy bag full of turd.

Very very sad season as a Bayern fan. I don’t even know why the Board won’t sack him now! This is really terrible.

Ugh WC 30 didn't go as planned... Lascelles and Gusto injured straight away. Been looking at my team and depending on if there aren't any more injuries I might just BB in 33 to get it out of the way. Looks like everyone on the team could have good fixtures then and hoping Allisson is not back yet by then

It does sound like that Allison is more likely to be back for dgw34.

There's a scenario where he plays the second game in the double v Everton.

There's a chance he's back for Palace but Fulham would sound more likely.

As a side note to the side note - no one is catching poor mental health from a 'free browser game'. If you have anxiety/depression it can definitely affect your enjoyment of small things like this, but you won't fix it by taking a step back from the game.

It would absolutely do mine if I didn't counteract it. It's not the occasional week, it is every single week that my first sub scores double figures and a starter is on the bench and comes on in the 98th minute. My first 11 signings scored 15 PTS in their match after and the transferred out players over 60, I alternated between Ronaldo and Salah C a couple of seasons back, in 15 weeks the highest score as C was 3. I got about 21 pts as captain and over 100 as vice. It is a gift every single week. That was hard, it still happens every week but now is fine, as I play other games, Sky, Sportsdeck etc, flying high in those, as I do the opposite of FPL, captained Palmer in that yesterday. It's also good for making money on betting and ensuring my team gets huge advantages, as I captain and sign Man City or Liverpool players and out my own first sub, which are not 100% guarantee of a win, but Haaland or Salah getting 2 points, will usually help towards them not winning.

I kept him to bank as much spare cash as possible. Only 0.8m left with the big four in place. I'll just bench Watkins I think and get Odegaard back next weekend if he's a long termer. It was a tight call between those two and Foden to fund Salah. Thought I'd keep Watkins and switch to a DGW player in 34...

I went Salah Son Saka Palmer, Haaland Solanke Watkins. The thinking was Son & Watkins would go on a mini-wildcard if I could roll two FTs into 34. It's not a major worry I'll sell Watkins on Saturday if he's out and start a sub Tuesday.

Watkins was likely benched just considering the other fixtures and Villa at Man City.

It may slightly harm Arsenal if Villa had a chance there, assuming he's out. It was a precautionary substitution following a twinge.

They were dropping likes flies again yesterday.

I wouldn't force any into my team, Darwin will be everybody's else answer but with his lack of composure in the box, erratic behavior and not 100% nailedness I'd rather have any of Isak, Solanke, Toney before him.

Looking ahead to a BB34 it looks like your pick of a Manchester United midfielder for Son as a replacement makes most sense.

Assuming you are tripled up on Arsenal and Liverpool by then.

There's still 4 transfers to set it up.

Picking a single gw player from Man U gives you Sheffield United and Burnley at home to follow in gw35, plus the Newcastle United double.

It looks a strong play and even tho I have the premium template of Salah, Saka, Son at the moment and Haaland I'm playing with v little budget restrictions.

Could also afford to get Solanke up front in that scenario. The real question there is does Mateta with 2 home games for Palace outweigh Bournemouth at Villa and Wolves?

I guess Eze is the obvious option...

So Palmer at Arsenal (Villa away to follow)
or Garnacho or another Man Utd player is another choice.

        Yeah.

I sort of get that but Bruno in the hole for 3 games against Sheffield United, Burnley and possibly Newcastle.

Sounds like there's a penalty in there.

In isolation it has enough to play into it.

I get that. But they're not terrible just not performing that well.

It's not even a dgw trap as such but could be a trap. It's likely worth the roll.

Bruno can score 20 points over 3 games easily enough.

I wonder where Chelsea would be in the league if they didn’t have Palmer. Crap team couldn’t even defeat 10 men Burnley.

Also Jackson ain’t a professional footballer, should be a Fedex delivery guy instead.

Just watched MOTD.Is there a more blatant cheat than Anthony Gordon ? Looking for contact so he can go down at any opportunity,Neither penalty was a penalty.Think even the ref got fed up with him at the end.

first one is a stone waller , coufal caught him. cliche to say this at the moment but that happens in center circle its a foul. gordan was quicker to the ball. if you think theres cheats in the game blame the prem league for saying a decade a go they were going to try stamp it out of the game and doing sweet fa since

It isn't a stone waller. All he does is deliberately put his leg in the way of Coufal as he's trying to play the ball. He's not attempting to win the ball himself. Its obstruction if anything.

          • 13 Years

So if your about to kick the ball and a player puts his foot between yours and the ball, deliberately blocking you from kicking said ball,it's a foul to the other player ? It's conning the ref, which is cheating.

            1. boc610
              • 13 Years
              1 year, 9 months ago

your trying to guess a players thought process, are you expecting refs to do the same? gordon got to the ball first ahead of coufal and coufal kicked him. whatever the reason for gordon doing that makes no difference it wasnt even debated on motd and coufal didnt even complain

I'm not trying to guess his thought process everyone knows what it is.Gordon isn't attempting to go for the ball himself,he,s just trying to get a part of his body between the opposition player and the ball.Coufal was attempting to kick the ball,Gordon deliberately stuck his leg in front of Coufals Foot knowing there would be contact making it look like a foul.
The fact Motd didn't cover it says more about them to be honest.

Is it coincidence that whenever West Ham field Phillips things collapse. Had a similar effect on Man City's CS whenever he came on for Rodri. A plague on both their houses.
Don't know why he's classed as a defensive mid - it's not like Leeds' defence was any good when he played for them either iirc.

It was an initial idea of mine but I've gone off it, chances are the title will be wrapped up for somebody by that week so it may go to waste. Some sides with have decent fixtures in GW37 too (Spurs, Newcastle, Liverpool, Chelsea) so it doesn't feel like building a side to take advantage of the fixtures from GW35-37 or so will be in a bad place come GW38

If relegation isn't sslwttled than teams like Spurs will have a duty to not put out an on the beach squad.

Tbf, the minor European competitions, prize money per premier league places and win bonuses tend to mean most squads continue competing.

Palace and Villa and Brentford all looked up for the challenge yesterday for example.

        1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
          • 5 Years

Brentford are facing relegation so they have to be up for it, they've been in relegation form for months and if not for how poor the promoted sides are and the deductions Everton and Forest have gotten (and may still face), they'd be much deeper in that relegation scrap. Villa are looking for CL football, Palace could do with another few points to ensure they're safe. Come GW37 all of this could be decided (certainly the lower two anyway)
