I was interested but thought he would have been registered as a midfielder, less interested as a forward

Don’t fret mate. Give it two weeks and everyone telling you to hang fire on the move will be crawling over each other to get him in and telling everyone to do the same.

Gakpo autosubs looking more likely now...

Paul Joyce reporting for The Times:

‘[Luis Diaz] was redeployed back on the left flank because of the ankle injury to Cody Gakpo, which is set to rule him out of the Villa game, and looked more comfortable than when utilised as a No9.’

I'd build for GW29 for now (you already have 8 for that GW and at least 4FTs to use before that GW)

Then depends on who makes the FA Cup semi's. If Newcastle make it that far I'm thinking. WC30 (with plenty of players likely to DGW33 in the squad), then AM Howe GW31 for back to back doubles (GW32 &GW33), FH34, then BB GW36 which is also likely to be a DGW. If you don't need to WC30, you could use WC in GW35 to set up that BB.

If Newcastle aren't likely to double GW33 I will BB that GW, and use AM in GW36, or GW36 which mat be a DGW.

Thanks man, very helpful advice! So we can play the AM chip 4 times? But a double still counts as 1 time?

          • 3 Years

AM chips lasts for 3 consecutive GWs - so if you pair it with a DGW you get more games and consequently more chances at points. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong 🙂

Just once but if covers 3 GWs. So playing it on Howe in GW31 would get you Newcastle's fixture that GW (lei) and in DGW32 (MUN, CRY), as well as GW33 which is likely to be another DGW (avl, IPS) if Newcastle make the cup semi's. So potentially the chance of assistant manager points for 5 fixtures instead of 3 if played in SGWs.

I think it's quite the punt

You'd think Fulham would win at home but it's possibly the best bet for table bonus

Barring Wolves turning it on at Bournemouth

Perhaps just play it safe with Arteta?
