We’ve already looked at how different last season’s points totals would’ve been had 2025/26’s new defensive contribution (DC) points, assist rules and bonus point tweaks been around.

Following on from this, we’ve made further adjustments to the 11 players who’ve had their Fantasy Premier League (FPL) position changed.

This is all thanks to the remarkable talent and work rate of TopMarx – much appreciated, as always!

Members of Fantasy Football Scout can see the revised totals of every single Premier League player via the link below – but we’ll do a bit of a preview in this article too.

REVISED POINTS: THE 11 THAT CHANGED POSITION

    B. Wirtz + Cunha + 1.0 to upgrade elsewhere…

Dubravka and Obi will be for the bench. Agree with Mbeumo points reducing down but I would like to punt on one of him/Cunha. Take away 40 odd points from Mbeumo for his pens, he could get 200 points still with arguably some better players around him like Cunha and Bruno. I think a lot depends on which striker is signed but I can see Mbeumo having a stellar season still

I'm on BB GW1 and think it plays into a strong back 5.
Main downside is having a fair bit of budget on the bench for the next 2-3 GWs until you can use FTs to redistribute.

Just been given the #9 shirt. If you're a purist, that usually means you're a starter

Moreover, Barry has played out wide before at Basel.

Enzo Le Fée could be an underpriced enabler at £5.0m.
1 goal and 3 assists in 14 starts for Sunderland since joining from Roma = 0.28 attack returns per 90.
He takes set pieces and could also do well from DEFCON points if he reverts to his deeper midfield role.

      DEFCON... Ha!

I like Christie from the 5m mids. 29 games/27 starts = 2G+3A+14CBIRT+8CS. Would've gotten CBIRT points every other game last season. Also has some set pieces and plays for a better team.

    Quickfire questions

    1) Welbeck or Bowen? Welbeck nailed now without J Pedro, better team and cheaper
    2) No rotation risk worries with Wirtz?
    3) Kluivert, Kudud or Ndiaye?

Back heavy BB GW1 WC GW2 squad...
    Sanchez - Verbruggen
VVD - Konate - Gvadiol - Ruben Dias - Milenkovic
    Palmer(v) - Wirtz - James - Anderson - Le Fée
    Haaland(c) - Solanke - Piroe

All home fixtures again 'non-elite' teams, except triple City against Wolves.

Any thoughts on my 'unsexy' draft?
My logic is to go for established players in their respective teams and target early fixtures:

    Kell

    Cucu | Nunes | Aina
    Salah(C) | Saka | Son | Bernardo
    Watkins | Wood | Mayenda

    Vald | Ramsey | Reinildo | Tuanzebe

Many of my picks can be thought of as price point slots - like 10m mid, 8.5m mid etc so as to be easily interchangeable later.

    3. Kingy109
      • 4 Years

I don't like Nunes and Bernardo as well as as Son.
Also whilst I get you want money in the 11 not the bench, I think you have gone too cheap, I'd want at least a 4.5 mil defender on the bench as backup or a rotation option

Both are proven prem players so not as risky as Wirtz Ekitike Gyok etc

I'd rather "risk" a Wirtz over any Man Utd player tbh...

Doesn't necessarily mean much. They were talismen in their old clubs and now gonna play for rubbish United.

Gyokeres to wear the No. 14 shirt at Arsenal. That alone has got to bump his FPL price up a extra million I reckon.

So position change has not really affected Bowen at all XD he's locked in my team. Ndiaye looks like a good buy too.

If you WC or FH GW16, do you forfeit the 5 AFCON FT top up to 5, or do you get them at the start of GW17?

I assume you just carry them over like other saved transfers.

I'm getting a strong sense I might not get Isak even if he joins Pool unless I remove Wirtz for him because I want to keep Salah for captaincy.

But then why would I since he is 2m more and strikers score less overall when I wont captain him due to rotation risk. And I can't really find the 2m to do it either. Salah keeps pens too.

Is anyone else feeling like that? I hope he doesn't sign cuz I will have FOMO every week lol.

    Isak & Kudus

    or

    Evanilson & Saka

Do think they've done a good job on pricing this year no structure seems blindingly obvious

It's the way I'm leaning, when in doubt go for the premium with more avenues of scoring points!

Certainly an option, Palmer at West Ham on my radar for that (he's in the team already) - Don't know the stats so this could be entirely in my imagination but feel like the Chelsea West Ham games always serve up some goals

and though of course the Gooners will be favourites against Leeds Leeds Leeds, I think Yorkshire boys will give a good account of themselves this season

No Salah and no Haaland has allowed me to have both Palmer and Saka (BBing GW1)

I've gone heavy in the middle (Salah / Palmer / Saka / Wirtz) no BB for me though, I like to take a look see for a few weeks at the start
