The penultimate Premier League match of the day sees Everton play host to Newcastle United.

Kick-off at the Hill Dickinson Stadium is at 17:30 GMT.

TEAM NEWS

Eddie Howe’s decision over which goalkeeper to start has been made easier for him thanks to injury.

Nick Pope misses out, so in comes Aaron Ramsdale for his first league start.

Compared to Gameweek 12, Sandro Tonali, Fabian Schar and Jacob Murphy also drop out of the side as Lewis Miley, Dan Burn and Anthony Elanga step up to the starting XI.

Burn is back from a one-match ban.

Having returned from injury as a false nine in Marseille, Anthony Gordon is only among the substitutes.

Everton’s two changes are both enforced, thanks to suspension and injury.

Tim Iroegbunam and Jake O’Brien come into the starting line-up for the absent Idrissa Gueye and Seamus Coleman.

LINE-UPS

Everton XI: PickfordO’Brien, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko, Garner, Iroegbunam, Ndiaye, Dewsbury-Hall, Grealish, Barry.

Subs: Travers, King, McNeil, Beto, Dibling, Alcaraz, Aznou, Welch, Campbell.

Newcastle United XI: Ramsdale, Livramento, Thiaw, Burn, Hall, Guimaraes, Miley, Joelinton, Elanga, Woltemade, Barnes.

Subs: Ruddy, Schar, Tonali, Gordon, J.Murphy, Willock, A.Murphy, Ramsey, Neave.

There's always debates about this but he's one of Howe's favourites. If I had him I wouldn't sell him. Be aware of the yellow card count.

Livramento probably a decent option too. I love Hall but unsure on mins.

Were foden and dango that much more obvious better options than doku and schade. Absolutely gutted...

Foden always has the potential to go big, bigger that Doku anyway.

Schade & Dango is a flip of the coin really, when you're playing a one-off game with players you wouldn't own in a month of Sundays

I'm not on FH, so I haven't put as much thought into it as others, but I'd probably have gone with Foden and Schade because of better xMins.
That being said, the variance is too high on a single GW, no need to beat yourself up.

The usual pain with Reinjders and Semenyo (who i never have a free transfer available for!) blanking again compounded by Pope being dropped with newcastle on a CS.

At least i used my FT wisely this week to swap Wolt to Thiago, well so far its been great anyway.

His nickname is Woltemessi. Even though he is tall, he is actually excellent with his feet. I am considering keeping him and selling Mateta for Thiago later.

So far, bringing Thiago in for Mateta instead of Woltemade looking positive.

Is anyone actually playing Wolt this week?
The casuals & dead teams won't have bought him.
The engaged managers will have sold him when Mateta & Thiago started scoring
    Everyone else is on FH.

According to livefpl he has 5 pts and that mean -1.13 pts, so perhaps there are "TC'ers" who have him. Little over 20% ownership.

I think generally they are looking like the defence we feared they may be, the one that lost most of their defence in the summer. Petrovic is looking very much like the one who showed briefly for Chelsea rather than the one at Strasbourg

He's very conservative in this style of play but he went early on the WC and that paid handsome dividends. He's made some good decisions but been fortunate too. (e.g. KDH last week)

Football is a funny game and very hard to predict. Everton played with men for most of the Utd game and yet Utd couldn't lay a glove on them. Now at home to a poor away side and 3-0 down at HT.
