Tottenham spring to life at the Madejski to bring the weekend’s action to a close. That gives us the opportunity to delve deeper, plunder the members area data and pick out the points of interest from the nine Premier League encounters so far…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    this week: ddg + graham > jaask + berb (-4)
    next week: fabio > demel
    week after: fed > szczesny

    how does that look fellas?

      Not sure about dumping graham just yet. I am personally keeping him until GW8. He will come good....

      If you are taking jaask tonight, make sure you can live with him. I reckon that there will be other pressing issues in the future rather than another wasted GK transfer. Just my opinion

        even if i have michu as well? just been frustrating to see him draw yet another blank esp when fletcher and berb are firing them in....

        just pulled the trigger on jaask so i'm a bit stuck with him now. i'm happy enough with him. even if they aren't as tight at the back (though i'm hoping they'll be this season's swansea) he shoudl still get me at least a couple points for playing and maybe saves. better than getting 0 two weeks in a row from gk's!!!

          i feel your pain with the 0 from GK's it has been a total frustration.

          Look at Grahams next 4 fixtures...EVE sto RDG WIG he is the lone striker with little or no competition. They have also scored more goals than any other team in the league.

      i'd avoid both of them, m'self. can't guarantee they'll be playing every game, and spurs have some tough fixtures coming up (and they're not exactly firing on all cylinders anyway, despite today's result)

        I think they looked good, dominant.

        I've already got Adebayor and a FT, so I clearly need to get rid. Being a Spurs fan it'd be nice grabbing JD especially if he's on form.

          He kept Friedel because they owe the guy for long term service. I think they bought Lloris as a sucession plan.

          He started Defoe over Adebayor because he is hard headed and likes to create problems in his own dressing room. He will be sacked by christmas....watch.

            Disagree on all three points to be honest.

            Friedel got MOM against Norwich, as far as I know that's why he stayed in - he's been at the club for a year, not exactly long term service.

            Defoe over Ade probably because of fitness, we've also got no idea what happens at training.

            And to be honest I think they'll do quite well, despite the rough-ish start.

                Four games in?

                Think that's just a bit rash to be honest. IMO it's a better team for him than what he had at Chelsea, more suited to 4-3-3 / 4-2-3-1

    What to do with Kagawa...getting rid gives me more flexibility with choosing strikers. I've been playing 3-5-2 which hasn't paid dividends really. I'd be able to get the likes of Jelavic and Ba in if I switched Kags out. I was originally considering ditching McClean but I wouldn't earn enough to bolster my attack with that move. I know Kagawa is going to come good soon but I'm not sure whether I should have the patience while there are more bankable places to look for points.

    Keep him or downgrade to go 4-3-3 and have three heavy hitters up top?

        I only have Tevez, no RVP. I'm thinking of getting two potential heavy-hitting differentials, i.e Jelavic and Ba for a few weeks. I'd get in Ba (NOR) first then Jelavic (SOT) the next week. But it involves getting rid of Kagawa ultimately...wondering if it's a good idea.

        Don't hold me to this but I strongly believe he will start most games, he was just rested for Champions league this week and his minor injury. He is a really good player though and Liverpool away (not too tough) and Spurs at home are not the worst. They look hard on paper but Man United can dominate games that look tough on paper. I think Kagawa is going to come good with goals, I'd be getting rid temporarily anyway.

          Yeah they probably only look tough on paper when in reality they haven't found form yet so not the worst like you said.

          Reckon he is not the type of player that explode big, will probably be like Mata last season getting assists once in a while. I think I can live with that at the moment.

            He may be an assists man but if you look at his stats at his previous club and over his short career he has scored lots of goals, in fact, an incredible amount for a midfielder, I'm sure his assists are very high too but it sticks out that he very much has an eye for goal...just something to take into account.

    Haven't been online at all this weekend, I'm guessing this has already been discussed: could Kyle Naughton be a short term bargain? He'll have home games against Villa and QPR over the next 3 GWs if Assou-Ekotto really is out for four weeks. I have 0.5 spare so I'm either gunna do:

    A. S. Taylor ➡ Naughton this week and Graham ➡ Fletcher next week

    or

    B. Graham ➡ Lukaku this week.

      federici and cuellar can wait. Pog would be better as one of the "hot" 7.0 forwards (fletcher, berbs, lambert, even Ba if you can get funds). You could go Lescott to 4.0 (Gorkks, Fonte) and the upgrade Pog directly, or Lescott to WBA defender, Dyer downgrade, then pog upgrade. I don't think you need a 5.5 mid as your cheapest mid.

    Rafael Clyne Hangeland (Zabaleta Gorkks)
    Bale Cazorla Kagawa Dyer (Noble)
    Rvp Tevez Graham
    0.5 in bank
    2 free transfers

    A) Zabaleta + Kagawa to Demel + Hazard
    B) Zabaleta + Kagawa to Baines + Barfa

    Pretty settled on A) as i get a big hitter and captain material in hazard, but i thought i'd take more opinions too.. thanks

    Honestly, this has to be my worst FPL week of all time, still have HBA and Baines to play though. Not sticking to crib, looking for a piece of advice or two

    Jaaskelainen
    Baines. Rangel. Saylor
    Ben Arfa. Michu. Kagawa. Hazard
    Graham. Tevez. Van Persie

    Subs: Begovic. Guthrie. Gunter. Cuellar
    Bank: 0.3 million
    FTs: 1

    What would you do for next week?

        You can maximize price changes just by picking form players. I don't subscribe to the belief you should WC in an International break to get more changes. People need to make transfers every week, and most do it the night before, so it doesn't matter how long the break between gameweeks is.

        Nice fixtures for the next . Odem's out so should be on pens and is guaranteed the full 90. I don't have any spare cash so getting one of those would require me using my other transfer and I'm happy with the rest of my team.

        Bale, Cazorla, HBA, Taraabt, Marveaux

        1) Taraabt -> Morrison
        2) Zabaleta -> Gibbs
        3) Marveaux -> Guthrie
        4) Fed -> Begovic?

            yeah pretty similar. you must be glad you kept bale! i dumped him and nasri for a hit (hba and hazard). had a feeling it would backfire but oh well i'm still happy with it.

            all those transfers look good. is that the order you want to do them in? how much do you have in the bank now? could you get pienaar in for taraabt?

            btw how do you think you guys will do against everton?

              I could do pienaar for taraabt, rather than morrison. I will keep my eye on him tonight. Got 2.3m in the bank right now after downgrading DDG, so could actually get any mid up to 7.9m. Thoughts?

              I can safely say that i have no idea how we will go tonight. We're pretty decimated in defence, but can still just about put out a strong team. We had some good performances last season, with people out, and our back to the wall. You would have to back an everton win though

    Was anyone persuaded by the "Stock Check" article yesterday suggesting that Tevez's stock is dropping (re: aguero coming back, taking off at 60min, CL rotation). I'm not saying I was, but it made me consider a Tevez to Jelavic or Podolski in a week or two.
