Tottenham spring to life at the Madejski to bring the weekend’s action to a close. That gives us the opportunity to delve deeper, plunder the members area data and pick out the points of interest from the nine Premier League encounters so far…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      Not West Ham. If you're a member I'd suggest you have a look at the season ticker for weeks 5 to 21 and press the sort by diificulty button.

        I'm not sure its a knee jerk after 3 clean sheets in 4 games. Its something that Mrs China Mag might go for, if she hadn't already WC last week. Its a bit punty for me. But could be awesome!!

    Foster Federici

    Lescott Baines Cuellar Demel Clyne

    Hazard Michu Yay yay Guthrie McClean

    Dimitar Robin and Tevez

    I got Dimitar and Foster instead DDG and Petric

    In the next weeks I'll do this:

    Cuellar -> Some stoke defender?
    Lescott -> Ridgwell
    Federici -> ??
    Maybe Goodbye Yaya for ?

    Is RVP mandatory in a WC team, thinking of currently dropping him under current circumstances(i.e Rooney back in light training, tough fixtures, etc) Also lets me get in more big hitters in the team

    Draft 1:

    Foster- Bego/Jussi
    Baines-Ridgewell-Saylor/Gallas-Demel-Gorkss
    Hazard-Cazorla-Bale-Michu-Sterling
    Tevez-Jelavic-Berba

          hba over michu. or cazorla who i'd hope to see more than 1 assist in a 6 goal game. haven't been able to see spurs play yet so don't really know how bale has been playing and how dangers he has been, apparently his goal was lucky...? and hazards fixtures go downhill in a couple weeks so you could see arguments for getting hba in for any of them though i'd say probalby get him for michu

      I think that him being rested on saturday, even with no rooney should have set off MAJOR alarm bells for anyone with him. I certainly wouldn't be going anywhere near him with a WC.

      Why not just Bego/ Jussi?
      I would hold off on saylor for a few weeks, We have a nice run of fixtures starting GW11, by which time we should have our injuries sorted out
      Gallas won't play all games will he? I would have thought that caulker and dawson would be selected ahead of him (i haven't checked to see if he has played the games up to now)
      I think that sterling will be rested a lot. But should be fine for your 5th mid.

      Overall decent.

    I still maintain that he will be in the first 11 before long. I just hope it happens before I get the chance to transfer him out!!

    The return of sammy ameobi, sammy ameobi, sammy ameobi, sammy, for the europa league team, might lead to marveaux being promoted.

        I was playing zabaleta in a 4 man defence, with tarabaat first on the bench!!

        We are definitely more suited to playing a 4-3-3, and Marveaux would be better at the left sided role than Ba.

        Also, as we don't have many strikers, it would be sensible for us to play one of the dembas in the league, and one in the cups, with the other on the bench to bring on if necessary!

        NB Please nobody bring in marveaux, or keep hold of him just on my say so! This is just a hunch, with nothing pardew has said to back it up!!

      Yeah i'll ditch Kagawa cause SAF might pull a quick one and play Rooney in the hole. Bale looks good due to its lowered price 9.4 i believe plus good fixtures although AVB is around. Got cash left over? Santi maybe?

          If Fergie is willing to rest RVP for an "easy" home game in the champions league, when they are playing a team that beat them last season, with no rooney to choose from, then you all should be very very afraid.

          I've said since the start, that what is the point in having a great squad, with two international strikers in the reserves, if you are not going to use it to keep your best players fresh for the big games?

          I would be wary of getting him now even at last seasons price, on an average run of fixtures. Now he is ridiculously expensive, and about to embark on a horror run of fixtures, with the champions league in full swing!

          Just saying!!

            Rested after he had played 2 internationals and picked up a knock. Welbeck and Hernandez were fresher. Also, take a look at United's group it's a joke and they'll be qualified by November. Ferguson will want to get off to a CL flyer, then they have tough league games starting at Anfield. Given that Wigan was a breeze it made total sense not to play a star player that'd received an impact injury 4 days prior.

            And in response to the inevitable "but they had an easy group last year too".. no, just no. Ferguson won't repeat that mistake.

              I guess you are a DDG owner? Get rid. Two good rotating 4.5 keepers is always the way to go in this game.

              - they get more save points
              -Many big teams concede the odd goal when quite easily beating smaller teams- see Spurs last night
              - If you want Man u cover in defense get a 5.5 right back
              -Last year Al Habsi about 140 points and Hart about 165. Think of the price difference plus if you had a good option you might have got more by dropping Al Habsi and playing your sub sometimes
              - Get Jussi and Bego. Leave all season unless one gets injured and upgrade the rest of your team

    1) Friedel->Foster
    2) Pog->Berba/Fletcher
    3)Zab->Baines
    4)Zab->Demel

    If I do Zab->Baines I can't afford Pog->Berba/Fletcher. If I do Zab->Demel I could then afford Pog->Ba or Cuellar/Rangel->Baines

    Still considering a WC to fix my dire defence.
    Here is what I have come up for so far as a WC team, thoughts?

    Changes out: DDG, Federici, Zab, Jenkinson, Fabio, Clyne, Hangeland; Noble; Graham

    Begovic, Foster

    Baines, Gibbs, Demel, Davies, Nelson
    Hazard, Cazorla, Pienaar, Michu, Stirling
    RVP, Tevez, Berbatov

    - Is it worth the WC considering I need to change my entire defence bar Hangeland?
    - Is the WC team decent?

    I would hate to take multiple hits for defenders so this could be as good a time as any to use my WC your thoughts would be much appreciated.

          I probably wouldn't WC. I wouldn't want to get rid of graham just yet. You've kept clyne for his bad fixtures. Southampton have a great run of fictures coming up, and he is attacking, so you could keep him for your bench. The others you can deal with over a few weeks, maybe with a hit here or there.

            Yes this is a fair point. I brought in Jaaskalinen for Federici with the FT so I have the keeper sorted for the short term hoping DDG will win his spot back in due course.

            I will end up this week with

            Hangeland (wig), Clyne (AVL), Zab (ARS): sub: Jenkinson (mci), Fabio inj

    I have the worst GW in my 3 years in this game. Thanks to my 4 silly transfer I made this GW with 12 pts hits. I made: 1) RVP in for Suarez (-7 pts diff), 2) Ben Afa in for Bale ( don't know yet but bale score a goal already??) 3) Bertrand in for Chico (almost no diff here) 4) Sterling in for Allen (Sterling Bench)
    I'm not at all happy with my team atm. What should I do with my current team I need some advice please:

    Bego , Federici
    Barnett, Mertesac, Cuellar, Clyne, Bertrand
    Michu, Lampard, Ben Arfa, Yaya, Sterling
    Torres, RVP, Tevez
    Should I Wild Card?? or keep this team? I would love to hear what you guys think. Thanks. 🙂

            I'm not going for Peanut. Yet. Might do Bale-->Peanut for week 6 & 7 (SOUTH/Wigan)

            Re Rvp - I won't be comfortable without him. He has had a rest now and Fergie will have to play him with the tough PL fixtures lying ahead. Upgrade Jelly to Rvp by downgrading Saylor/Ridgewel/Hba/Gallas.

            Rvp and Tevez are capt material week in and week out. Also by getting him it's easy to switch to Rooney or Kun if it turns out that Tevez/Rvp are being rotated. With the frontline above it will multiple trades to get a 12m+ striker in there.

          YEah, I'm still pissed off I never got Nolan for gw 1 after having him all pre season. Then on a WC in week 3, I swapped nolan to Jarvis at 11h28 on the Sat morning prior to kick off. The rest is history.

          I have Guthrie and Noble/Maloney are options but that might be a bit light me thinks.
