Arsenal’s battling performance at the Etithad and a dramatic second-half turnaround at the Lane bring Gameweek 5 to a close. Our members can now let the dust settle on their Fantasy scores before gorging on all the stats from all the weekend’s matches, or just read on for the numbers that piqued our interest…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Kompany -> Baines worth -4?

Looks like Baines up tonight (maybe more) and Kompany is about to go down...

Hm. I guess so, for obv. attacking reasons - but at the same time City have even nicer fixtures than Everton.

    Federici Friedel
    Boyce ACole STaylor Hangeland Cuellar
    Michu Bale Toure Cazorla Noble
    Torres Tevez Graham

    Im thinking

    Torres + Graham + Friedel to Fletcher + Berbatov/Crouch + Howard

    For a 4pt hit.

    DOES THAT LOOK ABOUT RIGHT??

Pretty much decided on Vermaelen > Baines.

Is it worth doing tonight to avoid a 0.1 price rise?
Or should I wait til after Everton vs Leeds just in case...

Everton will probably rest alot of their players, atleast some of the top ones. But generally, its just down to if you think the money is worth the risk. Baines probably will go up atleast 0.2, maybe even 0.3 and thats alot of value to lose. Obviously if something happens with Baines or elsewhere in your squad, you`re going to wish you didnt :p

    Current Team:
    Foster-Vorm
    Lescott-Cashley-Gibbs-Demel-Cuellar
    Santi-Michu-Bale-Yaya-N Dyer
    Tevez-Torres-Pog

    Thinking of:
    1. Torres –> Lambert/Ba/Berbatov?
    2. Dyer –> Pienaar/Fellaini/Barfa?
    3. Lescott –> Saylor/Baines?

Pick the three that get swapped in. -4 hit.

Tevez not so much, Fulham are good at home and Tevez might even get rested again even though i highly doubt it. Everton players are a good shout, Southampton conceding alot and Everton scoring alot.

Both good captain choices I reckon. Neither edge RVP vs Spurs though for me. Utd have scored 21 goals in the last 8 meetings with Spurs. Not usually one for that sort of 'ancient history' stat - but that's pretty compelling evidence that it's at least as open a game as you imagine they are.

Yeah except I'm a Spurs fan so really don't want to captain RVP this week 🙂 Can see RVP getting taken off around the 60 minute mark if they're winning also considering they have Champions league game in midweek.

The way i run it is to have two cheap rotating mids, that way i wont have to bench a heavy hitter. Sterling is a fine choice, potential bargain at that price.

I bought a couple of weeks back. Logic being

      1. He's going to go up in value as the casuals will swoop as he's cheap enough to afford, plus Allen is on relatively high ownership so it's an obvious swap.

      2. He's a bencher for me for most part but is going to star the two good homes coming up. May miss some points when he's on bench but also seems better chance of getting points when I do need (got me assist when AJ didn't play last week).

Can't believe Fellaini may rise tonight again.

Was on 91% at midnight last night so thought I could make decision today, then he bloody rose.

        Potential he could tonight too.

If he comes in it's for Hazard or AJ. Never wanted Hazard and got him as "defensive move" in case I was wrong and then everyone else stormed ahead (got excited and captained this week though).

He gut says Hazard > Fellaini but last season I had another Johnson (Glen) for a long time when he "wasn't injured" but then wasn't fit to play for 6 weeks...........

Is anyone here worse than 634k with a WC gone up in smoke? No? Didn't think so!

Anyway, when times are this bad in FPL, I've found that saving a transfer to have two next week starts the calming process. Slowly rebuild and regroup, I say.

I have a screenshot from last season and I was 824k after GW5 and I finished top 2k so there's always hope.

Considering Lescott to Baines but with -0.1m left I'll have to transfer out Lallana or Graham for Kaca/Rodallega ? Best option ?

Graham is not involved at all for Swansea. I would drop him asap.

Yes, very much so! Looked fatigued both against Stoke and Juve and opposition gets tough going forward, Norwich game aside.

I really want too though. Probably very few others will lose him, so whoever i get in will be a good differential. Besides, i have cojones 😉

Had more pressing matters this week, but he's got two weeks now and I'll be taking him out I think.

Got 1.4m burning a hole in my pocket. Considering Michu > Barfa or Nolan > Fellani this week. Thoughts?

Hm tough one, but im sticking with Michu for a few more weeks, even though theyre severly dropping in form. Next two home games look so tasty and hes their main threat.

You're right on the fixtures. Think he needs to be dropped after that though, got a tough run. He wasn't in the game at all yesterday, but Swansea were poor overall.

Just done Torres -> Ba for -4, and it feels goooood.

Now, with 2.5 in the bank, is it worth ditching either Michu or Dyer (next week: stk) for an extra -4? Could stretch to Bale/Caz or Yaya/HBA.

Dyer perhaps. He`s gonna drop, and 3 games out. Take the value gained and get Cazorla, just bc you will want him after Chelsea game anyway.
