Spurs win at Old Trafford for the first time since 1989 as Andre Villas-Boas’ side triumph in the game of the season so far. Gareth Bale is the main protagonist for the Londoners, as United’s defensive frailties are exposed yet again:

Going Up

Gareth Bale
In a Gameweek where many of the popular midfield picks failed to produce the goods, the Welshman continued his return to form with a goal and pair of assists at Old Trafford. With a home clash against Villa up next, Bale can expect to pick up plenty of interest over the next few days.

Jan Vertonghen
Having found his eye for goal in the midweek Capital One Cup win at Carlisle, Vertonghen notched his first league goal of the campaign as Andre Villas-Boas’ side won for the third Gameweek in a row. With (AVL, sot, WIG) amongst his next four fixtures, the potential for point looks good for the Belgian at both ends of the pitch.

Clint Dempsey
Picked ahead of Gylfi Sigurdsson for the role in “the hole”, the US international vindicated his manager’s decision with his first goal of the season. Dempsey – who has a mere 2% ownership in FPL – could be a real differential pick over the next few games, with a starting berth in the Spurs XI now seemingly assured.

Wayne Rooney
Sent on for Ryan Giggs after the break, Rooney was forced to take up a wider position, with Shinji Kagawa keeping the role behind Robin Van Persie. He made an immediate impact, setting up Nani for United’s first, and with a free-kick hitting the woodwork, he’s offering a real alternative to the Dutchman up top as we look to freshen up our Fantasy squads.

Going Down

United Defence
Once again, the Red Devils failed to keep out their opponents at the back. Sir Alex Ferguson’s side have conceded in all but one of their six fixtures so far – with trips to Newcastle and Chelsea in the next four, in addition to a home clash against Arsenal, sales of their defenders look likely to pick up.

Robin Van Persie
Normally, an assist isn’t too bad for a day’s work. The Dutchman has still managed to produce attacking returns in all of his starts this term but with the likes of Nikica Jelavic, Luis Suarez and Demba Ba all racking up the goals earlier today, and with Rooney now back for United, many may be tempted to look for alternatives to the 13.5 priced Dutchman.

Not a knee-jerk as I've been debating this for a while but, at 8.8 vs 10.3, is Mata now the better option to Hazard in the Chelsea attack or will Hazard still offer more longer term?

Given the rotation, and the fact that any one of Mata, Hazard or Oscar could be in 'the hole' each week, Mata's price and set pieces do, in my eyes, now give him the edge. Hazard on the other hand may well rack up some huge scores but he no longer looks to be the 'must have' player he did three weeks ago.

Well, I never thought Hazard was a "must have," thought he got a little lucky with penalties, even if I was kicking myself for choosing Mata in the preseason. However, I am absolutely sure if I get Mata in Hazard is going to rip off 50 points in 4 weeks. So basically, I think I'm going to stay away for now. The fixtures aren't great after this week so hopefully they stay relatively quiet...

Other then Norwich, CFC's next 5-6 fixtures are atrocious. They'll get real points but by the odd goal. Minefield. Personally I am leaving them for the short-term with a view to get Oscar once he's nailed on. Cheaper than all 3 with more tendency to shoot on sight.

    0.6 banked

    Options:
    A) Do nothing

    C) Kac --> Puncheon, Williams --> Gibbs (4pt hit)

Williams is going to fall this week, gibbs is going to rise, so 0.2 swing and Gibbs is a long term target.

      keep Kac.

No point in wasting transfers on a 5th mid slot, especially not for a hit. That being said you can't afford Williams to Gibbs without it.

I'd say drop Tevez to Jelly/Ba or someone of that ilk to fund it.

Thank you. I'm not sure about suarez, despite his performance against norwich i have my doubts.

Same here, but considering fixtures and his "threat" he's worth it for the next two weeks anyway.

I'll see his fixture. But I have to get rid of Tevez straigh away.

Should I get rid of Berbatov too?

I'd be tempted to take the savings and plough it simultaneously into Morrison-to-Bale.

I need a bit of advice this week guys. Bale against Villa is looking like a must-have player, but Hazard has Norwich at home. So would you do these transfers?

    Foster Begovic
    Baines Kolarov Boyce Demel Davies
    Hazard Cazorla Fellani Morrison Guthrie
    RVP Suarez Lambert
    +1ft, +1.1m

    Kolarov, Fellani -> Bale, Hughes/Cuellar (-4pts)

Or should i just go without Bale next week?

Go without Bale. I know past performance isn't an indicator of future performance but he'll probably go 2, 2, 3, 2 10 now.

Please give me some opinnions men!

    Considering gw's 8-10
    a) keep berba and play demel if he's still out next game
    b) change to ba for a hit and at least make some money

Could do also Tevez to Ba, but actually I thinkg that Tevez won't start against dortmund, but he will play next two PL games. Altough he's price will plummet 🙁
