Two games today, one at Stamford Bridge and one at the DW Stadium, cap off the first gameweek of 2011. Shortly, the out-of-form Champions will be looking to climb back into the top four thanks to back-to-back wins, as they welcome the visit of the worst form side in the league, Aston Villa. Then, at 4pm, Newcastle United travel down to take on Roberto Martinez’s Wigan Athletic in front of a packed house (not really). Join us in the Dugout Discussion, where all the day’s action be followed.

Team news from our first game is in, and here are the line-ups…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Ferreira, Bruma, Terry, Cole, Ramires, Essien, Lampard, Anelka, Drogba, Malouda

Villa XI: Friedel, Cuellar, Collins, Dunne, Clark, Ashley Young, Petrov, Reo-Coker, Downing, Heskey, Agbonlahor

As revealed earlier in the week by Carlo Ancelotti, 19-year-old Dutch defender Jeffrey Bruma partners skipper John Terry in central defence. Elsewhere, Paolo Ferreira is preferred to Jose Bosingwa, with the Portuguese international sitting on the pine.

The visitors call upon Ashley Young and Emile Heskey, who both shook off knocks to make the trip. The latter of the two is partnered up front with Gabriel Agbonlahor, meaning there is no room in midfield for Marc Albrighton. In defence, Richard Dunne is back in favour as he replaces Eric Lichaj (with Carlos Cuellar shifting role), and Ciaran Clark completes a back four composed entirely of centre backs.

Once again, all the action can be followed in the chatroom, which can be accessed right here.

Excellent. His form is so good this year. Corner kicks look superb and his volley was spilled by Al Habsi which Lovenkrands and Ameobi bundled in. I'm so conflicted about dropping him this week for Adam because he is showing such good form today but without Carroll his job is tougher...

Yup it's tough but Bale was bought at 6.5M so I'm throwing in the towel on him and he's quietly' picked up 100 points already this year - 7 league goals. He's also played every single minute of every game. Can I find that production at 6.9M?

Barton on the other hand will be missing his main attacking threat - Carroll. Most of Barton's assists go to Carroll... It's a toss up certainly. I would be selling Bale at 6.9M.

Would be a no brainer if Bale hadn't appreciated 0.8M in value...

You can probably make good money back on Adam though while Spurs have some tough tough fixtures coming up which may convince some of the 50 odd percent of owners to ship him for those with double gameweeks meaning you could wildcard him back in and be about even on possible Adam profit...

        Works out as
        Drogba 5.6
        Torres 3.6.. playing twice 7.2

Torres playing twice.. presumably captain material therefore it does make sense by form logic.

You also neglected to include Drogba's previous 5 matches:
        1,2,2,2,2
        Compared to Torres
        6,5,12,6,1

Hart at Arsenal next week and a wild card can be played this month. Reina and Kingson playing 5 games in next 3 gameweeks - then can get rid of one of them with Wild Card in 25, 26, or 27... I think it's pretty smart to bring in one of those. 5 games in 3 weeks. could be 2-3 Clean Sheets.

Reina has 6 clean sheets this year and Kingson has 3 in his last 5 games. My point is - will Reina or Kingson outscore Hart in the next 3 weeks - 22, 23, and 24. I think YES.

Since they are both cheaper (Kingson 3M cheaper!) I think it makes sense to consider them as serious options - especially with an ace up the sleeve second wild card in a few weeks to bring a City defender in or Hart back in... That's all.

ONLY probably with Kingston is the chat of Gilks coming back...

I'd love to gamble on Kingston and think he's done well enough to stay first choice keeper but if I put him out and he didn't start both games in a double week I'd feel sick.

You definitely have no such trouble with Reina.
