A chilly Saturday afternoon greets the start of Gameweek nine, as twelve Premier League sides do battle once more. The Dugout Discussion opens it’s doors, in time for the early kick-off at Villa Park between Aston Villa and Norwich City. The team news is in, and is as follows…

Villa XI: Guzan, Lowton, Vlaar, Bennett, El Ahmadi, Delph, Herd, Albrighton, Holman, Agbonlahor, Benteke.

Norwich XI: Ruddy, R. Martin, Bassong, Turner, Garrido, Johnson, Tettey, E. Bennett, Pilkington, Hoolahan, Holt.

Paul Lambert makes three changes to his team, as he seeks victory over his former employers. Christian Benteke, Marc Albrighton and Chris Herd come in, with Darren Bent, Stephen Ireland and Nathan Baker making way.

After his sides impressive victory over Arsenal last week, Chris Hughton names the same starting eleven that earned those three points.

We’ve then got dose of four 3p.m. games, before the Champions see us out this evening against Swansea. The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open and can be accessed right here.

What position will Santi be deployed in this afternoon? Is he deeper or ahead of Wilshere? I hope he doesn't nick his points... 🙁

that too either Santi or Wilshere could be on the wing unless Arsene has changed formation.

I doubt Wilshere would be on the wing though. Santi has played on the wing before.

I dont think they will change Santis position, Wilshere playing where Diaby should be- a bit deeper like Modric

Well yes but when you play 4-3-3 and neither of your wingers have real width it is a bit of a drawback. Replace Rambo with Ox/T-Dubz and it's fine.

I agree. That's a strong arsenal side in an attacking sense. Santos is rubbish at defending and was caught out of position many times in the midweek game. QPR will score.

After Aguero then Tevez is the most obvious captain. Captaining Bale, Cazorla or Mata instead is the surprise. I think Cazorla could well pay off though, Arsenal could run riot and I can see him scoring and grabbing a couple of assists. Problem for Aguero and Tevez captainers is will they start, you can never tell.

My team is a mess, I had a plan to ditch Guthrie and Gunter over the next few weeks for a while now, so how do you like this plan?
    Guthrie > Sterling this week
    Gunter > Cameron/Wilson next week
Then probably Clyne > Hughes or Wisdom if I last that long.
I'm doing it before the games to bookmark and come back to to snap me out of a knee-jerk.

Probably last time I can definitely remember two strikers was bloody 2003 days then we had Henry and Reyes.

We switched to 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 but have had a distinct lack of trustworthy CAM in last couple if seasons. Perhaps with Caz back he could be one and yes even play tip of diamond

We also lack shuttlers in the diamond (left and right midfielders). They need high energy and verticality. Only diaby and Wilshere fit the bill and you know the injuries. Maybe frimpong at a stretch.

With 4 pointer I could have had Wilson instead of that useless Rangel in my team.
Expecting 0-1 point for Rangel and at least 6 for Wilson!

Great result for Norwich this. Lucky with the red card but this is a game Villa really should be winning.

If I'm honest no-one from these teams warrant inclusion in any FF team.
Was thinking of bringing in a Norwich player. Not now!

If I knew how to bookmark I would link you to how I was considering Turner before this game...him or Ruddy. I think I might get Ruddy in January and Turner now in for Demel. .1m difference and West Ham's fixtures are terrible.

Snodgrass or a 4 mil defender could be worth it if they were nailed on. But currently there are no options for sure.
