A chilly Saturday afternoon greets the start of Gameweek nine, as twelve Premier League sides do battle once more. The Dugout Discussion opens it’s doors, in time for the early kick-off at Villa Park between Aston Villa and Norwich City. The team news is in, and is as follows…

Villa XI: Guzan, Lowton, Vlaar, Bennett, El Ahmadi, Delph, Herd, Albrighton, Holman, Agbonlahor, Benteke.

Norwich XI: Ruddy, R. Martin, Bassong, Turner, Garrido, Johnson, Tettey, E. Bennett, Pilkington, Hoolahan, Holt.

Paul Lambert makes three changes to his team, as he seeks victory over his former employers. Christian Benteke, Marc Albrighton and Chris Herd come in, with Darren Bent, Stephen Ireland and Nathan Baker making way.

After his sides impressive victory over Arsenal last week, Chris Hughton names the same starting eleven that earned those three points.

We’ve then got dose of four 3p.m. games, before the Champions see us out this evening against Swansea. The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open and can be accessed right here.

Disagree. Wilshere and Cazorla seem to be linking up well together. It also allows Cazorla to move up further. The problem is, the rest of Arsenal look completely clueless atm...

Don't disagree with all of what you said, especially as a Caz owner. But Wilshere is no replacement. It would be Silva for me.

Arsenal still looking low on confidence, which seems to be why Wilshere is seeing so much of the ball, as no-one wants to take charge.

I'd have agreed, but watching the game now, because of Arsenal's relative weakness, he's getting much further forward trying to act as an attacking focal point. At such a low price, I'm starting to think he could be a punt.

Agree. QPR's chances have come from Santos drifting inwards and just not defending, while Ramsey is not creating everything. They need some pace. Walcott preferably, or Gervinho(ugh, how bad is that, they need Gervinho on the pitch...)

I have lots of thoughts about this Arsenal half but if you want the one line version:

Arsenal are being pressed to death and Santos is getting owned.

Also, in the coming weeks I predict an unexpected bandwagon. Cazorla > Wilshere.

What should we do? Bring on walcott for Ramsey, possibly ox for podolski, stretch the play and threaten the goal.

Arsenal lacking someone who can run at opponents. On either flank. Santos is not exactly great but Arsenal have not been as bad as people on here are making them to be. Crying out for Walcott/ Ox in place of Ramsey

I would like to see Walcott play, he really has not been used and could make a difference with his speed. You really need something different, this is like a knockoff spain performance from the euros( 0 threat)

Yes to both comments. We need a flank threat and that's why we need walcott/ox. We also need to improve our flanks because then we stretch the play and open gaps in the centre. You must attack from multiple directions to break an entrenched defence.

Unexpectedly, I see fantasy potential in Wilshere. Playing virtually as high up as caz like a second cam. Arguably doing it better. Already a shot on target and a couple of one twos that almost put him through in goal. Monitoring.
