A couple of midfield protagonists are set to sit on the sidelines after accruing their fifth booking of the season last weekend. Paul Scholes and Mark Noble will both miss out as West Ham travel to Old Trafford on Wednesday evening, with the latter’s absence particularly sore for his side, given he has started every league game so far for the Hammers.

The tightrope welcomes two new contenders after the weekend’s round of matches. Cheick Tiote may have been injured for much of the season but his penchant for picking up yellows remains unquenched – the Ivorian’s caution at St Mary’s yesterday take his tally to four yellows in all competitions ahead of Newcastle’s trip to Stoke on Wednesday. Wigan’s James McArthur fell foul of the ref in his side’s 3-2 win over Reading on Saturday and now balances precariously as the Latics prepare to welcome City to the DW.

Luis Suarez and Michu continue to avoid that fifth yellow which would earn them an automatic ban. With three strong home games in the next five, Suarez looks primed for significant Fantasy attention once again; his owners will be crossing their fingers he stays out of the ref’s notebook against Spurs on Wednesday, bearing in mind he then plays host to Southampton at the weekend.

Those players on four yellows have until New Year until the five-card amnesty kicks in. Basically, if they can avoid another booking in this calendar year, they will then be exempt from the customary one-match ban and receive no more than a warning regarding their future conduct. The limit then moves to 10 yellows, which would earn the guilty party a two-match ban. Most culpable so far are Ahmed El Ahmadi, Craig Gardner and Angel Rangel, who lead the way on six yellow cards apiece.

Having served out a one-match ban in Everton’s draw with Norwich, Marouane Fellaini is available for selection as the Toffees host Arsenal, while Fabricio Coloccini will be welcomed back by Alan Pardew as injury-hit Newcastle make their way to Stoke.

Brede Hangeland and Emmanuel Adebayor are both set to skip the second match of their respective three-game bans this midweek.

Don't think he's essential as plenty of teams without him will finish near the top but once you've got him there's normally other uses for your transfers that take priority.

I think the last lot of people to do that have probably just about all got him back by now and missed a couple of hauls in the process. Do you want to be part of the next lot doing that? I don't think I do...

To me its about people having a strong mind either way, far too much discussion about him. I also hate the term knee jerk, again overused. We have full control regards who we keep or remove from our teams, not one person on here can predict RVPs returns in the coming games. Worth remembering that no striker scores every game regardless of ability.

His run off the ball was the reason Chico scored, had a number of chances also. The midfield provided no supply through out the game, can't score without the ball.

    Begovic
    Ivanovic | Cuellar | Saylor | Demel | Clyne
    Bale | Walcott | Fellaini | Noble | Maloney
    RVP | Suarez | Berbatov

    1 FT
    bank: 0.2

I face really big dilemma what to do and need a piec of idvice.

A lot of players from my team may not play this GW - Noble (susp), Maloney, Walcott and Saylor (inj), Demel (bench). So it doesn't look good tbh.

First plan was to save the transfer now and before GW15 do: Ivanovic & Saylor ---> JEnrique & Gibbs, what would let me sort my defence a little bit.
But with Noble's suspension (+tough fixtures) and Maloney's injury I may need cheap mid as a replacement for one of them at least. Idea: Puncheon.

So I could do now: Maloney (or Noble) ---> Puncheon, and before GW15: Saylor ---> Gibbs and hold on with getting JEnrique in or get him before GW16 or 17 for Ivanovic has blank week.

    What do you think:

    A. before GW15: Ivanovic & Saylor ---> JEnrique & Gibbs

    B. before GW14: Noble (or Maloney) ---> Puncheon
and before GW15: Saylor ---> Gibbs
and wait till GW16/17 to do: Ivanovic ---> JEnrique

Just following on from the discussion on the last page. Looking at the news on Sunderland flooding and predicted weather i'd say the game has to be a real doubt.

Jose Enrique is not nailed on oop, he is not even nailed on in the side. He only got in the side due to injuries, Wisdom will get the full back spot and do you really think Enrique will hold an attacking spot down? Maybe, but I doubt it.... I created the club. But I was following the first rule of the 'club':

Do not talk about the Club..

was all set to do tevez to suarez and keep ba gw 15 to gw 18

tevez fixtures - EVE MU new
ba fixtures - sto WIG ful MCY QPR ( was going to take out ba for berba after QPR )
suarez fixtures - SOU whu AVL (was going to sell suarez right after this for aguero)

is this still a good plan or should i look to keep tevez and sell ba for suarez

Tempting. Not sure I have the cojones. Last time I was tempted, and didn't do that, he got 16 points. So maybe I should man up and do it... but then again that was a home game. I'm thinking Home advantage: one of Mata / RVP. Silva still only 6% ownership so just having him is a good start.

Long is in a beautiful run....don't know how long he can keep it up. Berbatov is the option I've gone with, but I'm tempted to switch to long...so the conclusion is flip a coin.

Ruddy out is the bigger worry for them. Still, their performances have not solely been down to Ruddy's shot stopping heroics.
