Just as Paddy drew level, our treble came in. A goal for Luis Suarez, coupled with an assist for David Silva and a City clean sheet in the win over Villa handed us another timely windfall and put us back in the black. Our bookmaker friends in retreat, we missed out on the Flutter last weekend but it returns for the midweek menu, with Paddy looking to prise back our winnings…

First up for Wednesday’s matches, we look to a name that’s been circulating the community for the last 48-hours: Southampton’s Gaston Ramirez. He’s on many a wishlist following a goal and assist return against Newcastle, and we’re willing to back his form with a few quid. Paddy are dangling 15/2 on another Ramirez goal against Norwich, packaged with a second consecutive Southampton cleanie. Ramirez is in fashion and even the Saints back four are playing with some confidence. We’ll take Paddy’s offer for £2 of our tenner.

Sunderland’s Stephane Sessegnon is another name garnering attention following the weekend events. A potential template breaker in midfield, Sessegnon is showing glimpses of last season’s form just in time for the Black Cats’ double fixture in Gameweek 16. After a goal and assist return in the damaging defeat to West Brom, can Sessegnon find the net when Harry’s boys visit the North-East? Paddy are offering 6/1 on a Sessegnon goal with a Sunderland shut-out against QPR. Again, we’ll chuck a couple of quid at this, with Sessegnon there or thereabouts for the Picks for the Gameweek.

Villa’s Christian Benteke is another player we’ve got a lot of time for: he’s proved integral to Villa’s threat in recent weeks and is certain to trouble Reading’s faltering back line tomorrow evening. Paul Lambert’s side are far from prolific, but we fancy them to break the shackles against the Royals and, with Paddy offering 4/1 on a Benteke goal with a Villa clean sheet, we’ll take that for £3 of our hard earned.

That leaves a handsome £3 left for the treble – having won out on this the last time around, we’re going into this one with confidence. Paddy have 10/1 on a Robin Van Persie goal against West Ham, a Juan Mata assist when Chelsea face Fulham and a Stoke clean sheet against the wounded Magpies.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to Paddy Power, then you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

I'm going RVP (C). he could have easily had a goal at the weekend, it wasnt as if he's suddenly lost confidence or anything or ManU arent creating chances 😕

Any insight from you guys would be helpful:

    Ruddy (Vorm)

    Baines, Rafael, Shawcross, (Fonte), (Nelson)

    Hazard, Michu, Fellaini, Sterling, (Puncheon)

    RVP (C), Suarez, Berba

1 FT, £0.0 in the bank

Thinking of dropping Baines for Jose Enrique (out of position). Any other suggestions? Keeping Ruddy in even though he's a doubt.

    Morning guys and gals,

This week, my dilemma is mostly to do with, Southampton... I have Puncheon and Lambert, would you bench one of them or play both?

    My front 8 is....

    Puncheon - Mata - Cazorla - Sterling - Michu
    RVP - Lambert - Tevez

I guess its out of Lambert, Puncheon and Sterling to bench? Thanks in advance people

Good shout. If Southampton take off they'll make points for each other. Both looked excellent at the weekend. If you've got them both, silly not to play the pair in this fixture really.

Hey guys! I'm having some dilemmas this GW.

    My current line-up is:
    Begovic (Jussi)
    Rafael, Baines, Clark (Cuellar, Demel)
Santi-Cazorla, Silva, Bale, Sessegnon (VC), Puncheon
    RVP (C), Crouch (Berbatov)

First of all I'm not sure Rafael will start. He looked tired last GW, and I'm afraid Phil Jones might start with Rafael getting a few minutes. Is it crazy to bench him though?

And should I start Clark (Rdg H) or Cuellar (QPR H)? I can see QPR getting a goal in Harry's first match, but I guess I can also see Reading scoring.

I'm also not very happy about benching Berbatov, but should I bench Crouch instead, who has scored points in 4/6 home games, and now playing against a week Newcastle?

Or should I perhaps play both Berbatov and Crouch, and bench a midfielder instead? But then, who should I bench? I like all 5 midfielders atm 🙂

I was going to captain Ramirez for a fun midweek differential. But I think it has to be RVP(c) really. Today is not the week to do it - there'll be half a million people not changing their teams from last week with the armband on him, and another half who pick him on purpose. If he fails, you won't really lose ground to anyone - it'll be about how well the rest of your team do. In short, a favourable fixture at Old Trafford is not the time for a differential(c).

Unless I get wind he's not starting then it's Ramirez(c) all the way 🙂

    Begovic

    Baines, Simpson, Cuellar

    Hoilett, Mata, Bale, Morrison

    Rooney(C), Giroud, Aguero(VC)

    Tremmel, Turner, Wisdom, Maloney

1 FT. Might just save it. Probably going to Move Baines on for Nastastic next GW and bring in a replacement for Hoilett.

Decided it would be more fun to spend the weekend hanging around A and E. Sounds like I missed a humdinger of a weekend of football!!

Is there a real risk rvp could be rested tonight as his form had dipped slightly? Captaining him and him having a 5 minute cameo and the end could be a disaster. But can anyone risk not captaining him at home to Wham?

See above, Ninj. I think the sheer numbers captaining him either by design or mistake mitigates quite a lot against a 5 minute fail.
