Charlie Adam has submitted an official transfer request to leave Blackpool with reports confirming the news within the last hour.

Adam has been subject to a mass of speculation of late with Liverpool believed to be in poll position for the Scot’s signature having tabled a bit though to be in the region of £4 million. Liverpool’s interest seems likely to have sparked this move from the Blackpool skipper.

This is hugely significant news for Fantasy Managers with Adam nestled in many squads ahead of Blackpool’s double fixture in Gameweek 24. Adam was due to take the field against Man United tomorrow night, having scored in Blackpool’s first fixture in the 2-1 defeat to Sunderland. Adam would now seem very unlikely to see action against United, disappointing the thousands who backed him for the two fixtures.

In the longer term, a possible move to Anfield would also have a huge impact on Adam’s potential as a Fantasy asset. Adam may well have scored his fourth goal of the season against the Black Cats at the weekend but these goals have all come from the penalty spot – he has so far relied on a staggering total of 32 Bonus Points in the FPL to boost his points tally and establish himself as a 21% owned midfielder. It would seem very unlikely that he could maintain his rate of Bonus scoring within a Liverpool lineup alongside the likes of Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres and Raul Meireles. In addition, Adam would certainly not assume spot-kick duties ahead of Gerrard. That’s presuming of course that Adam would win a regular start in Kenny Dalglish’s side.

Should the move to Liverpool materialise, Fantasy Managers would have to monitor Adam’s prospects very closely in order to assess the effect on his return potential. Right now, a drop in interest and heavy sales would seem a likely outcome.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

This year, the strangest FPL season IMO, team value is not important. In previous years with that team value you wouldn't be able to field big guns in your team and would probably rank somewhere at million mark.

Team value is surely going to be important from now on though, all the big players seem to fire more towards the end of the season. Plus the 'big' teams don't slip up as much.

i've kept nani and vdv, but i reckon the best 3 to have for the next 3 weeks is torres/berba rvp and odemwingie. torres over berba for me though.

      Evatt bad, agree.
      Konchesky is history, agree.
      Kolarov jury is out, unsure.
      Vidic season keeper, disagree.
Nasri roatation & thunder stolen, agree.
Adam season keeper at Bpool great value, disagree.
Nzogbia one of my favourite fpl players, disagree.
      Rooney jury is out, unsure.
      Carroll injured, agree.

Ramires is bloody quality. And young Rodrigo looks a rather good player too.

Oh, and I think the Chelsea players hate Ashley Cole because no matter how many good runs he makes and how many good positions he gets into, they just don't pass him. Essien and Malouda rather play a 30 yard sideways pass down to Ivanovic on the other flank even if Cole is clean through.

    End of rant!

Agree on first half not on the second. Essien was very slow to release the ball all game. Tonight was a bit of an exception because normally Ashley sees a lot of the ball but, despite making more forward runs than he has been of late, he got less action tonight than he normally would. Not really sure why, can imagine it to be pretty frustrating if you have him.

Very good performance. Second Half was particularly impressive, Ramires was excellent again and he scored so pundits who never bother to watch Chelsea may stop saying he has been poor. Drogba, Malouda and Anelka all looked like they had some desire, which has been lacking recently.

Cech also had a very good game along with the rest of the Chelsea defence.

My BPs would be: Ramires 3
    Malouda 2
    Terry/Ivan/Cech 1

Since Fabregas plays fantasy football and he has Arsenal players in his side but not himself, does that not class as an 'insider'. I bet he has RVP, that's why he let him take the pens.

        No, not at all.
Drogba owners very lucky, not that any of them will know he got them.

I watched the game and I noticed he was pretty lazy, sitting behind the play the majority of the time. Pretty decent goal though. Maybe the BP judges gave the points based on the best goal.

Great the minute I get rid of him he gets 9 points. Hijo de puta.

Get in there Drogba! My decision not to swap him for Van Persie for a points hit this week worked out.

Bardsley is going to come in for Alcaraz I think(if he doesn't play against Villa). Alcaraz is possibly the only player in defence I'm looking to get rid of.

could be a real stinker at the back if he does play and concedes.

You would have got more points with VP

-4 as well would have been 9-11, and might be getting rid of Tevez instead of Drogba, so the decision kind of worked out.

The referee for last weekend's Liverpool game has said that he was very happy with the female assistant's performance.

He said she did a great job ironing his kit, and the half-time sandwiches were delicious.

I heard a female Assistant Referee is going to explain the Equality Act to Andy Gray and Richard keys using condiments on the kitchen table.

Varney has just been given a booking on fpl. Heartbraking stuff.

          90+3 what was he thinking.
