West Brom’s Romelu Lukaku heads up our ICT Index rankings after a weekend of football, with Wigan’s Franco Di Santo an unlikely name to keep Robin Van Persie company in our top three. Our members can investigate these standings in full, digesting all the data from the weekend’s action. Big Numbers makes a return to pick out our take on the key statistics on show, together with an array of trends that have emerged over the past four Gameweeks…
Leme add one more.
- I'd have gotten my a** whooped against Lateriser12 in H2H anyway, so the wildcard is left for a better time.
😉Open ControlsAs a WC holder, 24 over 25 is more appealing.
- I'll know the team I want barring 1 or 2 players who I may want depending on their GW24 performance. They can be transferred in if wanted.
- The 10 day WC span verses 3 days could ruin the desired team based on prices if played for GW25 instead of GW24.Open ControlsI think point number 2 is thrown around far too much around here. Last season barely anyone got the new arrivals in their WC, and for good reason. Looking at the 3 you mentioned for example;
Ben Arfa - In February he played 45, 0, 0, 36, 45 minutes and didn't actually start until March 12th.
Tevez - His first start since GW3 against Wigan was on April 11th.
Cisse - First start was against Tottenham on the 11th of February where he played 67 minutes. He went on to play 64 , 71, and 0 minutes before starting and scoring against Norwich on the 18th of March.Open ControlsNow for a negative
you will just end up buying the same players we already have , at a more expensive priceOpen ControlsPerhaps but I'm not necessarily referring to 'new players'. Sess for example picked his form up and no doubt this season will see the same thing happen. The likes of Sturridge, Sess, Aguero etc could have a lightning second half of the season.
Open ControlsYeah they could but how many will show enough over the next 2-3 GW's to oust the popular players.

Leagues Update
FPL Open : 169 entered, 256 spots.
Elite 64 : 149 entered, 64 spots, 64th spot @ 8,172.
After Xmas : 223 entered.
2nd WC : 158 entered.Open ControlsLooking at Ba out this week I think...fancy a wee punt. Lukaku, Sturridge, Dzeko...any others worth a punt? No, I don't want Podolski or Giroud by the way.
Open ControlsPisse
Open ControlsPisse and Shit come as a package 😉
Open ControlsTevez at Fulham might be nice. Two assists yesterday. Although not syre when Kun is back.
Open ControlsThe arrival of Remy could enhance or hinder that one
Open ControlsA little too expensive for my liking.
Open Controls
Sturridge or Dzeko imo
Open ControlsIf you have cash, and if fit, Kun is a great punt/long term move imo.
Open ControlsWould be for a hit. Don't think he will even start to be honest. Plan on getting him after the qpr game in 2 weeks.
Open Controls
Liking the look of Lukaku with reports of Odemwingie on his way out.
Open ControlsShlong injured too.
Open Controls
don't listen this
Open ControlsOh Katie.
Open Controls
None of them are very 'safe' punts but might be worth a gamble
Open ControlsWould you keep Ba if he was nailed on Jack?
Just think a Power 3 of RVP, Suaz and Ba. That would smash the Power Five.Open ControlsAbsolutely, but I don't think he is nailed on (even though he should be). Of course I'll see what goes on vs Southampton.
Open Controls
The weather outside is frightful, the fire soooooo delightful, Torres can't score a goal, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow..............
Open ControlsKoscielny out for 1 or 3 weeks, after yesterdays red card.
Basically, is Mert nailed on for both DGW matches?Open ControlsNo. Hes only suspebded for the cup match. Will be availavle again.
Open ControlsOne game suspension, out for the FA Cup game midweek. He'll be back in time to score an own goal and then get sent off again for wrestling Ba to the ground next weekend.
Open ControlsThanks guys. Will go for Sagna then.
Open Controls
Laugh Out Loud at Riise being dropped for a 3rd straight match. That'll teach him a lesson.
Open ControlsNo hate, just laughter 🙂 Guy is almost as sluggish as Berbasloth himself
Open Controls
Briggs 😯 How much does he cost?
Open ControlsHe was injured at one point...not sure why you have it in for Riise?
Open ControlsI dont. Just find it funny that Jol dropped him to teach him a "lesson"
Open Controls
lazy so and so.
Open Controls
As a Clyne owner, I kinda wish I had Shaw. CS in the bag and potentially protected from negative points at the Bridge on Wednesday......
Open ControlsYeah...I won't be too upset if he misses the game.
Open ControlsPeople say this a lot Jafooli, but think about it...
to achieve minus points you would have to either concede 6 or concede 4/5 and get a yellow card. I wouldn't rule it out but it's highly unlikely.Open ControlsPlease refer to Hooiveld for further instructions.
Open Controls
He'll get 1pt imo.
Open Controls
% chances that Sturridge will start vs Norwich?
Open Controls0.99%
Open ControlsOk, what I really think is 99.1%
Open Controls
Ah Norwich. 😀
Happy Suarez owner.Open ControlsI think he'll be given an hour or so. I've absolutely nothing on which to base this.
Open Controls70-75. Borini will come on for him for 30mins
Open ControlsHigh
Open ControlsYou would expect him to start for sure.
Open Controls
Which option is better (assuming all fit)
A). Suarez & Ba
Or
B). Sturridge & Aguero
?Open ControlsB I reckon, more nailed on-ish.
Open Controls
http://keepingstock.blogspot.com I'm putting jeetan patel in goal.
Open ControlsUnfortunately NZ batsmen have forgotten how to bat properly. T20 has ruined cricket in NZ and the players can no longer adjust to proper batting.
Open ControlsGood response yesterday though, just getting ready for the next session. Patel has got to grow some balls though, you can't run away, it's craven.
Open Controls
Despite wanting to ease him in,i don't see how Rodgers can leave Sturridge out.
Not getting carried away after 45 mins like was mentioned but apart from Suarez are next highest goalscorer has 4 in the league. He'll start at the weekend.
My only problem is do i take Ba out for Aguero like i planned or bring Sturridge in.Open ControlsSturridge and Rodgers both have mentioned that he is not match fit.
Open ControlsBorini.
Open Controlssturridge shooting into the side netting instead of laying it back, as usual, how often does he do that in training? different team, same selfish approach.
Open ControlsThis. I think Sturridge is the wrong choice, will keep Suarez playing deep and knock them back 2 months into poor goal conversion territory. Time to bale out of the Pool...
Open Controls
RVP Suarez Aguero
That does look beautiful.Open Controlsred marker on aguero still?
Open ControlsToo pricey. RVP Aguero Sturridge.
Open Controlsthis...or rvp kun ba (if the latter is nailed on)
Open Controls
Honestly, people need to wake up and smell the roses here.
Sturridge > Suarez from now on.
Imagine if Chicharito or Dzeko were nailed on at 7.3?
That's Sturridge...no.1 striker at Liverpool now. Get him while he's hot.Open ControlsBut i can afford this. Plus Borini makes me question Sturridge's nailed on ness.
Obviously if Sturridge is going to go stronger, i will get him. But until then. Suarez is the main man for me.Open Controls
GW 25 wildcarders, looking for a one week punt.
Utd vs SOT
Nani. (Young might be crocked and Valencia has been sh*t)Open ControlsOh, suddenly I get flashbacks from Nani cleaning up vs Wolves(last year?) and me going on about a "feeling".
Needless to say I didn't follow my gut.
😡Open Controls13 points above your brother i see. Nicely done 😀
Open ControlsYeah, 14 with Demel coming in for Cuellar. Nelsen has saved my bacon the last 2 weeks. I honestly can't carry on much longer with my "padded" defence!
I'm hoping Mata(c) can enable me to open a bigger gap since he went Rvp(c). The bale and Feli 3 boners each was a real kick in the teeth since he owns both and I own neither. i thought I got out of jail with those two.Open ControlsStill could have been much worse and you know it. I'd be happy.
Open Controls
I'm so happy you have dropped out of the top 1k.
Open Controls..and that I've retained the JPT trophy.
Open ControlsA Puncheon(c) hat-trick against Chelsea and I'm back in the top 350.
I think I might be dreaming.Open Controls
Evra 😉 enough
Open Controls
Just a heads up to all Suarez owners, don't get your hopes up. I know you all are expecting 10+ scores but I wouldnt be surprised if he gets 1pt, with 7 shots off target and a YC.
Sturridge to steal his spotlight. Bookmark this.Open ControlsCan we do as many FTs early in the week without minus points if we activate the wild card at the end of the week?
Thinking to avoid price falls on existing players and price rises on the one I plan to bring in.Open ControlsThat effort where Suarez was working hard in the box, Strurridge was screaming for it on the left, he didn't get it (initially), so he switched off, put his hands on his hips and then the ball came to him and he blasted over. That kinda sums up Sturridge for me.
Open Controlsit was his right foot, what do you expect.
Open ControlsHe can have flashes of rubbishness (not a word) but as an FPL prospect all you need is the points. When starting regularly he delivers them.
Open ControlsHe also shot from a v tight angle when suarez was in the box ready for a cutback. That also sums him up
But he will score goals
(And suarez will hate him!)Open ControlsThey linked up really well yesterday I thought.
Open Controls
Guys would you rather have A) Tevez + Berbatov, or B)Aguero + Ruiz?
CheersOpen ControlsHmmm, maybe. I was thinking Tevez and Sturridge as another option but Pool's fixtures don't look too good for the near future. Cheers anyway
Open Controls
Not keen on either at all but if you must have city and Fulham strikers then B for me Sir. Don't trust Mancini to start Tevez.
Open ControlsAguero + Ruiz
Open Controls
People are really selling Suarez for Sturridge?
Open ControlsOff to bed lads -- Good Night!
Open ControlsNight Acqua. Great climb up the ranking. Sensational stuff.
Open Controls
Also players with an extra wildcard in the backpocket, i would again like to recommend Mignolet + 3.9M
Good fixtures until GW31 and Sunderland seem to be tightening up. Again, Sess/AJ/Fletch are good differentials as well. Mentioned this earlier, and they are flying under the radar.Open ControlsVery good shout indeed....another 7 for him this week. I punted on Howard as expect Everton to tighten up. He delivered first week and has good fixtures.
Open ControlsYep. Offloaded Bego + 4.3 on the wildcard for this combo.
Everton kept a cs. You are a miracle worker.Open Controls
Yeah I'd certainly look to invest in Sunderland but not sure how their fixtures look from GW25 😕
Open ControlsMignolet + Bunn/Fed, what's 0.2/0.4m to anyone?
But I agree, Mignolet is the best value keeper in the game now and the only secure access to Sunderland's defence currently unless you go O'Shea but he's been injury prone all year.
I might have to sell Bego over Mignolet in my w/c 😯Open ControlsBego -> Mig
😎
In MON, i trust.Open Controls
A few more good scores from Sess and he may become the new must have in our midfields.
Open ControlsHe will never be a must have on here. It's power 5 or nothing with most sheep.
But I also respectfully agree. He could well be a major asset. I've also been hugely impressed with AJOpen ControlsHi,
AJ or Sess?
If you're keeping them, whom will you ditch from Power 5?Why?Open Controls
This week or next i reckon.
Open Controls
Is Podolski nailed on and a good choice for the DGW?
Planning to change him to Sturrige after the DGW and have Gibbs and Wally.Open ControlsNailed on to start but game time is in question. I have him in as he is a top 10 striker with a double so no brainier for me.
Open Controls
Just pulled the trigger on Ba and Lambert TO Suarez and Dzeko....
Leaves me with:
Jussi,
Luiz, Gibbs, Demel,
Walcott, Fellaini, Michu, Mata,
RVP, Suarez, Dzeko,
Bego, Clyne, Shorey, Puncheon
- Good move or should i have got more DGW?
- Will Dzek continue to get minutes?Open ControlsI would have waited until there was news on Kun.
Open ControlsMore than enough imo. Maybe you should have gone Poldi instead of Dzeko.
Open ControlsSolid picks mate.....I love a double and will load up personally but nothing wrong with those moves
Open ControlsI'm looking at doing it too. Brought him in this week because of the double but otherwise, I wouldn't have touched him until we know how Benitez is going to be using him and Torres.
Open Controls
You are one crazy dude. Punchy captain.
Thing is, that's why I like you so much.....Open Controls
Moved on that one a bit soon imo, great if it pays off for you though. 3 DGW should be okay
Open Controls
how this front 7 looking?
i have this team in my mind for WC (will use after gw 23 or 24)
Pouncheon , Mata , Bale , Michu , Walcott
RVP , Sturridge , AgueroOpen ControlsI like it.
Open ControlsI like it, but still not sold on Sturridge myself. Waiting to see what Remy comes in at
Open Controlsi expecting studge and aguero to do brilliantly later on
and that's why i keeping my WC as long as possible
+ maybe some new names came in mindOpen Controls
Looking at the same, except with Fellaini instead of Puncheon.
Bench problems ahoy.Open Controlsfor exacly that reason i will have Pounchy
easy bench decission at leastOpen ControlsI don't mind it to be honest. I'd have Walcott over Lambert this week if I disliked benching problems, for example.
Open Controlsthat's cool in that case
i really hate beching problems and i will be always looking to 4mish bench folder
luckily for me cause of some injures this year i didnt miss any off Pounchon pts haouls this year 😀Open Controls
Nani - how can you take seriously a player with a name like that? You might as well be called Mama, or Kaka .... Oh, wait. 😉
Open ControlsOh, and by the way, the cool kids have Lukaku 😎
Open Controlschances% of kilgallon start this week v Wigan?
Open ControlsWhat do you guys think Loic Remy will come in at on FPL, £7m?
Open ControlsWho does he play for? Newcastle?? 😯 If so I'd say 4.5m (Pog territory)
Open Controls
SG is really becoming hard to ignore.
Open ControlsFixtures longer term, I suppose and possibly playing deeper with Sturridge in the mix.
Also if people want Liverpool cover, they get Suarez.
But agreed, he was really starting to show great form (old all)....Open Controls1m cheaper then Suarez, nailed on, set pieces.
Differential.(6% ownership vs 30%)Open Controls
Gerrard? Yeah, he's coming into my team after the double gameweek. Frightening consistency the last few weeks.
Open ControlsPersonally I'm keeping him on the sidelines in anticipation of the familiar sound of a hamstring popping.
Open Controls
Three names not getting as much chat on hear as I'd expect - Evra, Gerrard and Cazorla. Why so?
Open ControlsEvra -> 7.1 expensive and on a freakish run.
Gerrard -> Most are blinded but Suarez.
Santi -> I don't find him a very attractive FPL prospect.Open ControlsAt 7.1, yes expensive, but are people blinded b y Baines on this one as well?
Open Controls
Cazorla - 1 assist in 4 games
Evra - People don't expect his attacking returns to continue. 2 goals in 6 years previous. Also he is 7M+
Gerrard - I guess people had/have Suarez and now don't/didn't fancy Liverpool for mun NOR ars mcy so they went with the DGW'ers like Walcott, Mata etc.
FWIW I think all 3 are decent options, Cazorla is a classic example of the "what have you done for me lately" mindset around here.Open ControlsEDDIEEEE - What have you DONE for me LATELY EDDIE?! I got what's coming to meeeeeee.
I want haaaaalf eddie. Half!
(Hope someone gets that reference)Open Controls
I hear it's snowing over there. Is this set in for the week?
Open ControlsNo. It's not.
You will lose by an innings today.Open ControlsNah, Jeetan will score his maiden test century. Or not.
Open Controls
I really think we're in for some weather surprises towards the end of this GW and next DGW........just to mix it all up a bit more.....
Open ControlsSix inches of snow in Tokyo today. Weather forecast is good for the rest of the week, though.
Open ControlsIt is, but light, mainly in the Midlands areas and parts of North London

Ok to make myself feel better about not WCing last week and doing awfully this week as a result, I shall consider the positives in leaving the WC late.
Positives of a GW25 WC
- We will see new the new squads after the transfer window and will have some idea on who will or will not be nailed on for the second half of the season
- There will be more time for viable differentials to reveal themselves. These would be players who could be at the start of a good run of form for the second half of the season. (ie like Cisse, Barfa, Tevez etc from last season)
- There will be no need to plan specific transfers for the first few weeks after the WC because of DGW's (ie Those who WCed last week planned on getting an Arsenal player this week etc)
- Most would have used their WC so you could catch them on the hop with the newest and latest 'template team'
