As we close on a century of episodes it was time to freshen things up and bring new voices to accompany my drone and that of grumpy Granville. In this weeks’ episode, we draft in both “Professor” Chris Atkinson and his “Rate My Team” computer, plus long-time community member and contributor, Jonty, for a new ScoutCast regular.

Don’t worry, the usual format remains intact although, having recorded this just minutes after last night’s whistles, Granville escapes the usual mini-league grilling. Not surprisingly, there’s plenty of “Granny’s miffed” to endure, plus “All Aboard” and the weekend preview. That’s’ rounded off by the “Full Jonty” a brand new feature that will bring you, the community, into our weekly ramblings.

      Well you definitely play Zaba as he's your only class defender. Then personally i'd probably go with Demel and Harte myself

        Yeah i'm definitely a member of that club, albeit a relatively new member!

        You reckon Davies has more chance of attacking points than Dawson? I don't think there is much in it there really but Spurs are considerably shorter to keep a CS according to Paddy

            What I mean is that GJ could be a good choice for attacking reasons, but that doesn't answer the Pool/Swansea def question. If GJ is out of reach prce-wise, is JE better than Davies?

      Pool closes out teams at home.. Two home games in DGW They also score plenty of goals. Enrique, Gjohnson, Agger are all safe bets. Would not be surprised to see any og them get in double figures. but for me Suarez is most enticing. He'll be my captain 😉

    Does anyone really think Ba will start? I mean it was logical for him to start last game since Torres did nothing the game before so Torres starting just means he is number one and Ba was just brought in to give Torres the occasional rest every 6 or 7 games. Thoughts?

    I hope I already know the answer .... but is it worth getting Sturridge in as well as Suarez and GJ, for a -4, just to have to make an extra transfer to get him out the week after?

    In other words, will Sturridge score 8 points more than Fletcher in the DGW?

      Slightly different situation with me where i thought justifies the -4 for my case as the hit is needed on Cazorla > DeGuzman in order to fund Suarez AND Glen J.

      If i dont take the hit, i can only field Sturridge.

    Bit of a stupid question but I don't really understand how team value works. I’ve got Ba at the moment, and want him for this weekend’s fixture, but I am also on my Jan wildcard. To try and preserve my team value does it make sense to sell Ba for 8.7 and then get him back in after he goes down in price tonight? Cheers

      You only get half of price increases, so let's say you have Dingus Kong and he goes up 0.1 in value, you get nothing if you then sell him.

      It's all in the data sheet on transfers page really. Check that.
