You can almost taste the romance of a Gameweek under floodlights. A midweek Fantasy deadline is upon us which presents the usual opportunity to sneak some last minute squad tweaks, armed with “actual real-life” teamsheets.

There are four matches tonight at the Emirates, Old Trafford, the Stadium of Light and the Hawthorns. Should you wish to gain the advantage of some early insight into the lineups from those games then the best place to source the information is our Dugout Discussion Chatroom.

We’ve opened it up nice and early to accommodate all your nighttime natterings.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

not very many people acknowledged the fact in my previous page rant, that basically the masses are treated like idiots. Does noone have any opinion on this? Anyone any theories? are the FA just holding off on video evidence so that they can have influence and power and cheat? thats my theory. Perhaps its uncomfortable for alot of people, but you're all being treated like mugs.

Would you play poker and keep ur mouth shut if some fella cheated and won a hand, and everybody saw it?
people, this is actually rally serious. You're being brainwashed by modern society into being robots, not unlike the matrix. It scares me, scares me like the thoughts of Fran getting undressed. Western society is on a slippery slope, or more accurately, the masses are just that, anonymous, herded, masses.

When you say we're being treated like mugs, what are we supposed to do about it. FIFA know the feeling out there but they stiff arm common consensus out of the way. Until there is a revolution, the same way that Joa Havalange instigated his, nothing will change.

Those three things aren't present in rugby league in the same way they are in football. When was the last free kick you saw awarded where not even one player stropped? Just can't see video replays meaning the refs get more respect.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I just reckon that video replays will solve some problems and create others- there's surprisingly few decisions as shocking as that Saha goal (just seen for the first time).

majority of people out there are idiots and those that aren't are constantly trying to be molded into the same boat because stupid people are easier to control in the masses. the only way organizations like fifa will change is if their pockets are hurt or if a mass boycott were to take place by all major football federations refusing to take place in tournaments or friendlies, which won't happen. it's sad and annoying as hell.

I agree with you RBJ but the fact is that as long as the majority of fans just go along with it, buy their tickets and all that stuff nothing will happen. FIFA is one of the most corrupt organisations out there, the FA isnt much better but unfortunately when there is so much money involved, there's no incentive for them not to behave like this. Its very annoying but unless there are corruption investigations taken by actual authorities then nothing will change.

Choice. It's called choice. Tim chooses to head along to watch his team, witnesses abysmal decisions by equally abysmal referees, week in, week out, Tim chooses to head back. Bob manages Range Rovers, chooses to do this, watches his hard work piddle down the drain when woeful referees make equally woeful decisions, and Range Rovers get relegated when a penalty is given to the opposition even tho 35,000 people saw it wasn't. Next season Bob still chooses to be there, & most of the same crowd head along each Saturday to watch them in their newly delegated relegated division. Tim, Bob & many more choose to put up with all the aggravating decisions, cursing & swearing their way thru life, paying out the cash the watch & swear & moan & occasionally celebrate when things come good. So why don't Tim & Bob just abandon the game & it's inherent injustices...? Because..they've got sod all else in their lives, take it out & there's a gap they just cannot fill. Sept Blatter could come out tomorrow and say that all teams beginning with "W" must in the future play with 9 players. Wouldn't stop one person from treading the same path to watch their team next Saturday. Choice.

Vidic has gone to another level this year. You have to hand it to Fergie, giving him the armband, the master of football management.

How about player of the year?

I'm astonished that Vidic isn't being talked about for Player of the Year. He's been immense every time I've watched you play this season.

It has to be between Nasri, Nani and Vidic. They've been so much better than Bale it's not even funny.

Best Everton player by miles. I think he should have had something too, on the other hand Arsenal's poor finishing were more to blame for the low scoreline rather than Everton's defensive abilities.

I really feel that they need Fellaini, Tiote or someone with a bit of grit in their midfield. Wilshere just got completely out-fought again like he did against us.
Diaby could have been the answer but he isnt physically aggressive enough and he's always injured.
They really could do with a new Viera.

            I don't really agree.

I think Everton had a good first 30 minutes coming mainly from their passion and strength, and then just tried to park the bus after that goal that should never ever ever have stood.

I mean of course they could do with a new Vieira, but I don't think you have to have a brutal enforcer in the middle of the team if the rest are good enough. I'd also think that both Song and Wilshere can improve their game intelligence with experince to make them withstand these overruns better.

I don't agree with Moyes' tactics, Everton are by far the most negative of the sides aiming for the upper half of the table.

He got lucky and they won at City even when they were absolutely bombarded with shots I guess he thought it would work again.

Oh no no, it's just the syndrome of viewing Everton performances in a different light.

I'll give you Fellaini but what did Arteta do that was so good? Had some nice passes in the first half of the first half and then went invisible.

All that being said I think the RVP decision was poor too tbh. It was one of those games when nobody should get bonus points. I think Baines was good.

i thought he was the best passer over the 90 mins (arteta) which i thought would make him bappable charlie adam style. and fellaini was like this giant black tumbleweed roaming around the entire midfield dominating along the way. i guess rvp benefitted from arsenal winning and no one from the winning side standing out.
still though under rule 1.adam of bonus points fellaini should have stolen the 3bps despite being on the losing side

The Members of a Commission shall have the power to deal with the player in such manner as they deem fit. The same procedure will apply for every further 5(five) cautions recorded against a player.

I appreciate the input Gargamel, but I'm not going to change everything round after the gameweek is half-done. Maybe if you'd have mentioned this in the original article we could have put the suggestion to the people and seen if it was what people wanted.

I'll certainly consider it next time we fail to get 512 entries in a competition.

Yeah I understand. Didn't think of it back then.

I'll just hope for a good show from Kolarov tomorrow instead, he owes me one.

Thank god, i had set my team on saturday, because i completely forgot about the gameweek today. I wonder what people will make out of Rooney's performance today, after all the berbatov talk last week. also wondering when are people using their wc, this week or the next?

Feb 1st , Coleman and Fabregas assist COULDN'T be assists‏

        Hi folks,

both passes went high up in the air, changed direction, then down again, then the goals were scored.

Come on, these can't be assists yet they're still up on the site.

Can you take a look at the replays at least?

anyone thinking of wildcarding in gameweek 27 because chances of making money on team value are greater?

only reason i can see to play it now is to get one extra free transfer

what's better? happy with my team for another week

am stuck with the same problem, have an almost decent team that i can play this week. so hardly see too much of a need to play it this week. But to be honest, i have just a vague idea on the changes i need during wc. On the other hand, i do have two injured players in my team.

I don't think making money on team value makes any sense any longer. That's a concern of the early stages of the season, now those 0.2-0.3 you can earn don't seem to make any difference...

Its not necessarily about hoarding cash. If you have a team in mind that eats up every one of those 105 mil and any price rise scuppers it then the temptation wc sooner rather than later is strong.

How can so many people on here and in the media/twitter etc not know the offside rule.

The deflection off Koscielny for Everton's goal has absolutely no bearing on the offside decision. WHEN THE BALL WAS PLAYED (forward),Saha was about 77 yards offside, and subsequently gained an advantage from being in that offside position, the fact that the ball hit Koscielny is by the by.

Glad to get that off my chest
