Because Britain used to want Ireland to be part of Great Britain basically and in the 1920's the Republic of Ireland finally declared it's independence but six counties up north were still considered part of Britain so it became a separate country.
It's all to do with politics and Protestants vs Catholics. There is a Catholic majority in Ireland but up north there are people who believe strongly in being part of Britain and being protestant. So basically loads of people got killed needlessly because of this and there is forever unrest but things have got better lately.

Well if someone says they are from Ireland it could be either. Generally people aren't fussed about the semantics. A Northern Irish citizen would still call themselves 'Irish' as they are Irish, they live on the island of Ireland.
But politically there's the Republic and there is Northern Ireland. It's not like people from Northern Ireland don't want to be known as Irish, it's just their country is part of Great Britain and there is political and religious differences between people up north and elsewhere.
Republic of Ireland is the better football team generally and it's no surprise as Northern Ireland have very limited amounts of players...they are only 6 counties after all and the Republic is 26!
But they also had George Best so they win.
a) They're from the Republic of Ireland, or possibly catholics from NI.
b) Used to be clear cut, now I wouldn't be so sure :???:. The RoI has declined considerably, and NI is the scrappy wee team who usually get beat but have a habit of causing upsets.
Actually yeah, I suppose a protestant NI citizen wouldn't be that pleased being called Irish, maybe British would be preferable? To be honest I don't really know...I hate talking about it because I feel so ashamed of the stuff that has gone on in this country because of political and religious divides, I'd rather we all just got along

I always tell myself "No Guts No Glory" when making transfers.
It takes courage to go for 'riskier' or 'less owned' player.
And for that, I congratulate you(s)!
Side note: I don't regret picking RVP one bit as it allows stability/ a safety net among the high ranked players, as well as makes me less nervy, as I think RVP is more likely to get a huge haul...
That being said, if Chelsea beat United, I'll own both for their DGW 😎
what i can see when both rvp and rooney playing together, other than the everton game at OT, rooney will outscore rvp..perhaps due to more attention given to rvp by defenders which allow rooney more space

About 25% of which i could have done without.

so 48 pts worth of hits
8-10 seems about the average
those with less than 3 are in wheelchairs as they have no knees *prays none of you are*
52 points = 13 lots of 4 (many in the form of 8pointers)
I actually don't think the number of hits is a big factor. More important is that you have a fixed criteria for transfers which see a reasonable chance of a 4pt+ gain, be it short term or long.
Sometimes the expected gain could be so close to 4 that it makes little or no difference whether you take the hit or not. (And of course in these cases there could eventually be a 20+ point swing in either direction, so luck comes into it!)

you just haven't been any competition this year.. I recall during the back end of the summer when you drafted your initial team that I told you if you start with that I will beat you easy...
So you had new boys Petric and Michu in your team in gw 1 and scored 34pts with them. And Ivanovic scored 24pts. I didn't. That was a sub 5k overall rank right there from the start for you. No great shakes from you then in the last 29 weeks.

Yeah if Ridgewell had gotten 1 less PPI it would have be 3,3,3,3,3,3. They can't do much with it as long as it's tied to PPI because PPI is so imprecise.
