The Premier League have this afternoon rearranged Fulham’s home game with Chelsea, which was initially set to take place on Sunday March 10, to Wednesday April 17 – or Gameweek 33 to you and I. At present, this gives both clubs a pair of fixtures that week, with Fulham travelling to Villa and Chelsea entertaining Tottenham at the Bridge beforehand.

This news comes with a caveat, though. If Chelsea beat United in their FA Cup Sixth Round replay on Monday April 1, their Gameweek 33 clash with Spurs will be postponed due to Semi-Final commitments and will require a new date – this would leave the Blues with just one fixture in Gameweek 33, while Spurs would face a blank. The Spurs match would need to be moved to a new Gameweek as this was initially scheduled for the weekend. Bottom line is Fulham now have a double Gameweek 33 regardless, though.

As the fixtures fall into place, the Cottagers are currently one of four clubs that will definitely face a pair of matches in Gameweeks 33, with Arsenal, Everton and West Ham also playing twice. The loser of the Chelsea – United replay will also face a double, though if United win at Stamford Bridge their trip to Stoke – scheduled for Gameweek 33 weekend – will be cancelled, leaving the Potters without a fixture that week, as United travel to West Ham in midweek.

In other words:

If Chelsea win the replay, United have a DGW33 and Spurs have a blank GW33.
If United win the replay, Chelsea have a DGW33 and Stoke have a blank GW33.

With both Swansea and West Brom both facing blanks in Gameweek 33, our planning just got that little more intricate as we attempt to deal with the FA Cup fixture fall-out. Thankfully, the situation will be afforded a little more clarity come April Fools Day.

Assuming there r no international injuries which one of these should I do?

    a) Vorm – Harte – Puncheon > Jussi – Jenkinson – Maloney (-8)

    b) Vorm and Puncheon > jussi and Maloney (-4)

    c) Bunn – Harte – Punchy > Fabianski – R Martin – Townsend

    Thinking a or c
A – jussi has dgwk and so does Jenkinson if plays – I would sort Bunn out after dgwk
C – I deal with bun and Fabianski could potentially have a dgwk if he plays
Personally slightly towards A – what do u think?

I plan to use 2 FT on gwk 33 so don't want to make any next week?

    Vorm / Federici

    RVP / Sturridge / Lukaku

Sagna may come in? I don't actually know what's going on with Arse defence.

Evans is maybe a risk too, but I think I was too quick in transferring him out already.

And you'll want Fellaini back for the DGW.

Yes, Sagna may be back by the DGW but jenkinson is playing superbly i don't think Wenger will drop him easily.

i'm staying away from Manu defense, not until their fate in FAC is confirmed at least.

yep, i'll want Afro back for the DGW33, but i just think having jenky & santi this week will definitely outscore my current team if i go without them.

    My Front 8:

    Bale, Mata, Walcott, Sissoko, Townsend
    Van Persie, Suarez, Sturridge

Please don’t even ask about defense as it’s not repairable & I’m ignoring it!
In this front 8 what change would you all like this GW?

I’ve been thinking strongly about these 2 options-

    1) If RVP starts both matches for his nation (very likely with absence of Huntelaar) then planning to do RVP to Giroud & Sissoko to Cazorla for 4 point hit (if Mata doesn’t start 2nd game for Spain)

    2) If Mata starts both games for Spain (in particular if he starts & plays full 90 minutes in 2nd game) then Mata to Cazorla for no hit

These 2 options are good? I'm planning to go for any 1 between these if any of the cases happens.. You people getting any other ideas? Please reply.. Thanks in advance.. 🙂

Your defence is good, better than most.

The games are tonight and Tuesday, lots of recovery time before PL games. I'd say for 1) If Van Persie does play both games and doesn't score then sell him. If he scores in either or both keep him. Same for Mata, if he or Cazorla play pick whoever plays better of those 2 but Cazorla looks to have the easier game when PL is back.

Yep, that's worrying me.. You think doing RVP to Giroud & Sissoko to Cazorla (like I said if Mata doesn't start 2nd game for Spain he'll probably start against Southampton) will cost me in future?

It will if Van Persie tears it up in the 2 Netherlands game. Given recent form that looks unlikely so Him and Sissoko out for Giroud and Cazorla might do the trick. Podolski might be back for 30th. Him or Berbatov might be better DGW options to Giroud?

i'm keeping RVP at all cost, unless he's seriously injured. i agree with Greenred, ample recovery time if he gets a simple knock. it's not like i am certain that he will outscore Rooney, only that i don;t think i have enoguh guts to go without him.

mata > santi is the popular move, especially if you think mata will be rested for the crunchy United clash. but wait until the Spain games to decide, one of them may get injured, heck even hazard and lamps can get injured and that will give Mata more gametime, i reckon.

Anyone else putting their cricket balls on th chopping block and selling Rvp?

I'm just thinking he might be tired after Int break, Sun/Citeh will be tough games...might not have a DWG in gw 33...even better if Suarez gets a ban coz then he or Rooney can be brought back without a hassle....

      Thinking seriously about it.

Either keep RVP or else ditch him for someone like Kone who actually has something meaningful to play for every weekend between now and the end of the season.

If I ditch him I can get Santi and Walcott for GW33.

Thing is that if Sir Alex is going to eff up his team selection every week then RVP becomes an expensive rotation risk.

Sadly, my ML leader got rid of RVP at the right time and now has Rooney. So if I ditch him for someone like Kone then I will have no Utd attackers.

Here's some things I'm hoping to get sorted now, so I can keep tinkering my wc options...

    If Che beat united
    - united gets dgw33
    - che will have dgw later
    - tot has blank gw33 and will have dgw later

City is missing also one game (wba?) and will have double sometime later,
no real idea when it will be (maybe gw36 like swa & wigan?).

If all this is correct, I'm really hoping chelsea will beat united so I can get
this team for gw33 (-8) and save my wc for another doublegw.

    Fabianski
    Evans, Enrique, Clyne
    Walcott, Cazorla, Pienaar, Fellaini
    Rvp, Rooney, Berba

Of course there's risk in Fab and Evans playing time and would love to have
Baines & Riether there, but getting spurs, che and city players + michu & lukaku
in with wc would be better scenario...

that's possibility, but it could also be that city, spurs and che are still fighting top4 spots.

that's a mouth watering team for the DGW. problem is you need to take -8, and putting all eggs in one basket (3 MUN & ARS players+ 2 EVE) can either make or break your GW. another queston, how are you going to face GW34 with all the players? are their fixtures still good?

i'd rather have one of RVP/Roo, and one of Afro/Peanut. but that's just my opinion.

gw34 is great for united and that's why I'm willing to take that -8 atm
After gw34 I use my wc whenever it looks best time to do so.

If / when united ruins my plans and beat che, I prob wc in gw 33 already.

that's the killer move in FPl, getting the player early before his big haul.

for that reason, i really, really want Maloney for this GW, but somehow i just think getting Santi is more essential as many, many people will get him and if he fails against REading, he still has DGW to come.

Think out of the box, I've done this quite a few times this season. When the bandwagon's rolling, its easy to get a player from a different fixture in who can score loads, without many going for him too this week. This happened last week to me, when everyone was loading up on United's attack, I went Lamps (c). 😎

Good move, that. Yeah, that exactly WAS my thinking with Berb before it became cool. Now I have to decide whether to drop the idea just because everyone else is on to it. It's one thing to think outside the box, and another to just be contrary.

To elaborate, not sure I'd do that move with Benteke, for the same reason I'm afraid to do it with Lambert. Berb is a nice punt and good value, but so is Benteke (and Lambert). Both Benteke and Lambert have a lot to play for, even more so than Berb. Berb has the DGW of course. I suppose I'm thinking Benteke or Lambert to Berb is sideways-ish, so I want to get something else out of the move. The Suarez move gets me Caz and Cash for more DGWers.

Desperately need Fellaini to fall by 0.5m more by GW33...

If I do Michu to Caz or Haz (still undecided as mind says Caz and heart says Haz as a hardcore Chelsea fan) at current price, I will have exactly 0.4m to do Siss to Fellaini at 7.0m...

Do you think it is possible?

Struggling to motivate myself to even think about my FPL team with the potential international break and the uncertainty surrounding the DGWs. Seems sensible to hold fire until after the Man U/Chelsea replay but what does everyone think in the meantime?

2 FTs, 1.8m in the bank.

    Begovic Bunn*
    Dawson* Harte Clyne Cameron Davies
    Michu Bale Sissoko N'Zogbia Walcott
    RVP Suarez Sturridge

38 points behind my rival but we have almost the same team. Need to shake it up.

Obvious move is Michu > Cazorla, but I want Lampard, Kone and DDG (should have got them last week, but I chickened out). Willing to take 4-pointer because if I go down, I want to go down fighting.

Tempting to focus on midfield and attack options but careful not to neglect your defence would be my advice. Some decent teams have doubles coming up and that means potential cleansheet points as well. I'd be trying to get the likes of Mert, Zab and Rafael in personally.

Sturridge to Kone could be a great way of funding a move like this? You can then swap Suarez if and when he gets a ban, possibly to Ba/Giroud or even Tevez.

I would also be wary of Chelsea mids next week as the cup replay is a couple of days after. Perhaps wait for that to be decided before transferring a chelsea player in?

This is very much in my mind - my defence is dirt. I quite fancy getting Baines is, for attacking reasons obviously, but Mert is also on my list. Shipping Sturridge is a possibility, I ow almost hope he's injured to force my hand, because I don't fancy losing him before Villa!

    Morning all,

Its been a while since I've been here busy with work and stuff...

So how do I deal with JEvans?

If United have a double I would like defensive cover but Rafael is too pricey for me. With all Rio's "back problems" is JEvans likely to play both games? My gut tells me not.

Would Evans to Mert be a good move? Or do I try n get rid of someone else for Mert and just hope on JEvans playing twice?

Dunno...When SAF played Rio and Vidic against Real Madrid it sounded like his preferred choice for the big games was still the experience of those two...Does that mean he would prefer Rio/vidic for the Utd/Chelsea game and the Manchester derby ?...it's all a bit of a guessing game.
