The Premier League have this afternoon rearranged Fulham’s home game with Chelsea, which was initially set to take place on Sunday March 10, to Wednesday April 17 – or Gameweek 33 to you and I. At present, this gives both clubs a pair of fixtures that week, with Fulham travelling to Villa and Chelsea entertaining Tottenham at the Bridge beforehand.

This news comes with a caveat, though. If Chelsea beat United in their FA Cup Sixth Round replay on Monday April 1, their Gameweek 33 clash with Spurs will be postponed due to Semi-Final commitments and will require a new date – this would leave the Blues with just one fixture in Gameweek 33, while Spurs would face a blank. The Spurs match would need to be moved to a new Gameweek as this was initially scheduled for the weekend. Bottom line is Fulham now have a double Gameweek 33 regardless, though.

As the fixtures fall into place, the Cottagers are currently one of four clubs that will definitely face a pair of matches in Gameweeks 33, with Arsenal, Everton and West Ham also playing twice. The loser of the Chelsea – United replay will also face a double, though if United win at Stamford Bridge their trip to Stoke – scheduled for Gameweek 33 weekend – will be cancelled, leaving the Potters without a fixture that week, as United travel to West Ham in midweek.

In other words:

If Chelsea win the replay, United have a DGW33 and Spurs have a blank GW33.
If United win the replay, Chelsea have a DGW33 and Stoke have a blank GW33.

With both Swansea and West Brom both facing blanks in Gameweek 33, our planning just got that little more intricate as we attempt to deal with the FA Cup fixture fall-out. Thankfully, the situation will be afforded a little more clarity come April Fools Day.

    Morning guys!

With Gervinho back, is Giroud slightly at risk? Could Walcott go up front again and Giroud go to the bench? Or is it Gervinho that will be on the bench, or maybe start on the left?

This too is my main concern, I prefer Giroud over Berba but Berb is the safer option. Would think Gerv is most likely to slot in on the left, Giroud was praised on Arsenals site after the Swansea game so that is a positive sign.

Yeah, he got the assist versus Swans and a goal versus Bayern. He's quality, and if Wilshere is still out and Podolski is out of favor it makes sense to start Gervinho on the left and keep going with Giroud.

It's not excellent, and they have a fixture congestion that is beyond horrid. Mata -> Caz coming up.

Chelsea are playing at home also, decent chance of beating Man U and not getting the DGW anyways.

Yeah, the united game will take it's toll on Chelski me thinks.

6-7 DGW's with a -4 between now and gw 33 looks on the cards.

I'm thinking 6 without hits, but there's a good chance I'll catch DGWitis and it'll change slightly.

A -4 in a DGW often works out well, so don't discount it. If United's fixture fall away in 33 vs Stoke I prob will need a keeper as Bunn will prob not play and neither will bego.

Cisse -> Giroud is what I'm thinking as well, in combination with Michu/Mata -> Caz. I have 2FTs. If Sturridge is doubtful, Sturr -> Berba for a -4 sounds pretty good looking at the fixtures.

      Hey there windypops.

There's the ICC thing - a tournament that dare not speak its name (talk is banned outside of the specific article set up for it).

Coutinho is a very mildy simmering bandwagon, hardly worthy of the word really.

Everyone wants all the major non-DGW talents to get injured / suspended and make the decision for us

Basically, Jon is brought before Mance Rayder, the King Beyond the Wall, while the Night’s Watch survivors retreat south. In King’s Landing, Tyrion asks for his reward, Littlefinger offers Sansa a way out, and Cersei hosts a dinner for the royal family. Arya runs into the Brotherhood Without Banners. Something like this:

Fellaini dropping is good for 33,
Mata to Caz is the flavour of the month,
      Maloney wagon starting up,
Chelsea rotation is going to be a nightmare,
      Fulham double is confirmed,
Chelsea/United double still dependant on result.

      Hope this helps.

I think DGW is one of the funniest things in FPL, especially in the later stage. Those who are trailing can take hits to chase, and those who are leading, even for a hundred points, still have to worry about what crazy things their rivals would do. Have fun! 🙂
