So now we know. Chelsea’s win at the Bridge this afternoon means it’s United who will have a double Gameweek 33, with the Red Devils one of five sides – along with Arsenal, Everton, Fulham and West Ham to face a pair of fixtures. Chelsea, on the other hand, will play in the FA Cup Semi-Finals in the weekend of Gameweek 33; their home game with Tottenham, scheduled for Sunday April 14, will now be postponed.

Now we can start to plan accordingly. After weeks of uncertainty, Easter Monday has afforded Fantasy managers clarity and the chance to sift through the fixture list in the knowledge that the fixtures listed below are nailed on:

Double Gameweek 33 Contenders

Arsenal – Norwich (h) Saturday April 13, Everton (h) Tuesday April 16
Everton – QPR (h) Saturday April 13, Arsenal (a) Tuesday April 16
Fulham – Villa (a) Saturday April 13, Chelsea (h) Wednesday April 17
Man United – Stoke (a)Sunday April 14, West Ham (a) Wednesday April 17
West Ham – Southampton (a) Saturday April 13, Man United (h) Wednesday April 17

Arsenal’s back-to-back home games are likely to see Theo Walcott (if fit) and Santi Cazorla as the main captaincy contenders. The Gunners have dropped just two points in their last five at the Emirates, scoring 14 times, and sit just two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea and four behind Spurs in third – with everything to play for, then, Arsene Wenger won’t be resting his key attacking assets, though doubts still remain over his selections at the back, with Per Mertesacker seemingly the only certainty.

Three back-to-back victories highlight Everton’s current form. The Toffees are just a couple of points behind Arsenal, giving their trip to the Emirates added spice, while David Moyes’ men will be confident of seeing off QPR at Goodison beforehand, given they have dropped just two points in their last five at home. Marouane Fellaini will be fully refreshed for the pair of fixtures once his current suspension is served – he has already served up a 10 point return against the Gunners this term, while Leighton Baines is afforded the platform to cement his place at the top of the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) standings.

A trip to Villa is likely to boost Dimitar Berbatov’s chances of maintaining his scoring streak, while a home showdown with Chelsea offers the Cottagers the chance to clinch a derby victory, having picked up a point at the Bridge earlier this season. Berbatov’s owners will be desperate for Bryan Ruiz to recover from the hamstring problem which makes a major doubt for tonight’s match with QPR, though; any length of absence would see Berbatov move to a deeper role once again. The likes of Sascha Riether should also earn further investors – the right-back has picked up attacking returns in bonus in each of the last three, while Martin Jol’s side now have three clean sheets in four.

With their chances of clinching a league and cup double now gone, United can concentrate on winning the title over the next few matches. If Sir Alex Ferguson’s side triumph in next Monday’s Manchester derby, they would be 18 points clear of City with seven matches remaining – basically, double Gameweek 33 could bring the title to the red half of Manchester. Both Stoke and West Ham are obstinate at home but Ferguson can be expected to roll out the big guns, with the recent rest and rotation policy set aside with owners of the likes of Wayne Rooney, Robin Van Persie and Patrice Evra feeling a little more comfortable as United look for silverware to draw a line under today’s disappointment.

Despite a crucial home win over West Brom, the Hammers – like Fulham – currently sit just six points above the drop zone. Their pair of fixtures are hardly appetising, though; Southampton have beaten City, Liverpool and Chelsea at St Mary’s in recent matches and are looking a real handful under Mauricio Pochettino, while as mentioned above, if United win their next two, they could roll up to Upton Park knowing a draw would clinch the title. Andy Carroll has now scored in each of the last three home games, while Kevin Nolan’s return from a foot injury could be key to the Hammers’ prospects. At the back, Joey O’Brien and Jussi Jaaskelainen are also set for an upturn in ownership.

Blank Gameweek 33 for Tottenham
We’ll have the usual “Scouting the Doubles” articles on all five sides closer to the time as Fantasy managers look to navigate a scenario which now sees three sides – Swansea, West Brom and Tottenham – without a fixture in Gameweek 33. This means Gareth Bale’s owners have plenty to mull over; with the Welshman out of the picture, Walcott, Cazorla and Fellaini are likely to benefit – teams holding both Bale and Michu will be hit hard by today’s turn of events.

Tottenham’s trip to Chelsea cannot be moved to the following midweek as Rafa Benitez’s side travel to Fulham in the league. From a Fantasy perspective, this would ideally be switched to Gameweek 36, giving both clubs a double along with Swansea and Wigan – the Swans entertain City at the Liberty and Wigan travel to West Brom before both sides square up at the DW.

At present, Tottenham have a home game with Southampton and Chelsea travel to United in Gameweek 36, though if both sides progress in Europe, it’s worth noting that the second leg of the Europa League semi-finals is due to take place on May 2 – the midweek before Gameweek 36 gets underway. Fantasy managers will be happy to avoid worrying over these hypothetical scenarios, though, and concentrate on what we know for certain – after today’s result, we’ve enough to deal with.

Team for gameweek 32 and planned transfers for 33:

    Bunn (SWA)

Figuerora (qpr) – Zabaleta (mun) – Baines (tot)

Sissoko (FUL) – Cazorla C (wba) – Bale (EVE) – Lamps (SUN) - Townsend (WIG)

RVP (MCI) – Benteke vc (stk)

Bench – Jussi Studge Wilson Harte

So then my gameweek 33 transfers r
    Bale > Fellaini
    Studge > Berbatov
    Harte > Monreal

That would mean my dgwk players r:
    Jussi – Baines – Cazorla – RVP – Fella – Berba – Monreal

    1. How’s my team for this gwk? Bit of a benching dilemma!!!!!

    2. Does that look like a good dgwk team?

Guys, I don't get this talk of

I'd rather have Suarez than Berba, Giroud etc

Yes, you're right who wouldn't even for a DGW, but things aren't that simple. The players you are talking about are several million cheaper.

If on a wc where you can load on DGWers (especially if you go Theo, Caz, Fellaini, DGWer/Chelsea, (Bale) then keeping Suarez is difficult and I think maybe worth it.

But, that being said if i didn't have a wc, I'd be inclined to agree and say it's not worth selling Suarez for a hit to a DGW striker.

Hope this made sense, it's just my opinion.

Planning for GW 33 is tough.

I really need to know the status of Walcott and Rafael. I need them to play both games in order for it to work.

    Aiming for:

    Jaask
    Rafael, Vidic, Sagna
    Walcott, Cazorla, Fellaini, O'Neil/Robson Kanu?
    Van Persie, Suarez, Remy

How many points is a WC worth? i.e. How many points would you take in hits to get 8+ players for the DGW in order to save your WC for post GW33.

    GW33
    DDG (Bunn)
BAINES - MERTESACKER - Enrique (Davies, Pearce)
CAZORLA - WALCOTT - FELLAINI - Sissoko (Maloney)
    RVP - Suarez - Benteke

So, 7 DGW players for -4 hit.

I have plan to use WC after that to prepare my team for rest of the season (including DGW36).

Am I the only one who will use WC for GW34??????

Don't do that transfer this week, of course, as Suarez has the much better fixture.

If Rooney looks likely to play, he'll be worth around 4 points more than Suarez that week. Maybe slightly less. So it would be your call for who you wanted more afterwards I think.

Can get 8 DGWers for free doing Begovic & Mata > DDG & Fellaini for GW33...

    DDG*
    Evans* Mertesacker* Demel*
    Cazorla* Walcott* Fellaini* Sissoko
    Suarez Benteke Rooney*

Bale Harte Davies, with 1.8m in bank

Which further transfers would you prefer? Obviously a lot depends on Suarez getting booked next game.

    A - Suarez & Evans > RVP & Hangeland (-8)
    B - Suarez & Harte > Berbatov & Baines (-8)

And a few options that retain Suarez (on the eventuality that he doesn't get booked in GW32)

    C - Benteke > Berbatov (-4)
D - Benteke > Tevez (-4) (A game against Wigan could be as profitable as a DGW)
    E - Harte > Reither or 5.7m (-4)

Any other suggestions would be welcome...

Seriously debating when to play WC, in GW33 or GW36. Logically 33 seems the best choice, as other people have mentioned in these comments.

However in my case my two mini-league rivals also both have WCs left and will surely play them for 33. One rival has 3 DGWers and 4 blanks, and the other has 3 DGWers and 0 blanks. I have 5 DGWers already, so I'm in a much better position to hold the WC until GW36, when I can hopefully then triple up on Spurs/Chelsea players and wipe the floor with them. Sound sensible?

    Disappointing game and result.

On the plus side has more or less justified getting Fellaini and De Gea in for -8 giving me this for the double:

    DDG
    Baines Sagna Martin/Wilson/Boyce
    Theo Santi Fellaini Sissoko
    Berba Lambert Rooney

Any thoughts on who to play as the last defender?

So, Mata toCazorla this week, and Mignolet to De Gea next week, giving me Mertesacker, Walcott, Cazorla, De Gea, Evra and Rooney for the double. Seem like a sound plan?

Sell, knowing it will cost me a lot to get him back for his DGW
Keep, having a 10+ mid on the bench during GW33 will be painful

3 players I'm getting next season from GW1 and not moving unless long term injuries:

    Baines

    Bale

What about the rest of yous?

Possibly the same 3 and maybe DDG as well

But Bale could well be 12 or 13 million, Suarez 11 or 12, Baines will be 7-7.5 again. If you take those 3, you don't have much left from your 100 million

        Yes, maybe not Baines then?

However, the problem is that if you don't get them at the start their price will inveitably rise very quickly. Which is why it may be best to get them in early and leave them in there.

Definitely Bale and Suarez will be in my team. Suarez will be better value than MUFC strikers.

Depends on the prices, but I'm thinking Aguero will likely get into my team. He'll probably only be 10.5 or 11 million. Baines/Suarez/Bale might set you back 32 million.

Baines starting price should really be no higher than £6.5m. Suarez £10.5m. Bale £10m

If those are the prices, then I'm definitely in. But considering Baines is 7.6 right now, Bale/Suarez are nearing/above 11 and rising so I think the prices will be 8/12/12

Well selling GW 33 players means not having double gw player in GW 36. For Spurs, Chelsea etc players.

indeed, unless you can wc and get a mix of both (get a bench full of GW36ers plus 1 extra) have the rest as DGWEers (so 10) you can then use transfers to build up for GW36.

People frown on -4s to easily, -4s are ok if used correctly, and selling GW33 players to GW36 players counts a correct use IMO

I am scared. Sturridge owner here. Who to captain:

Bale, Cazorla - not good enough fixture
Lamps Mata - not assured of starts
        RVP - derby
        Sturridge rotation/ fitness risk
        Lambchop nahhh.
        Sissoko - not explosive enough.

        i am screwed.
