Villa’s failure to keep Sunderland out and Marouane Fellaini’s awful open goal gaff left us out of pocket from last week’s flutter. Christian Benteke did the business for us but Sunderland’s consolation in the 6-1 mauling on Monday night robbed us of profit from our 11/2 shot.

With double Gameweek assets stealing the limelight this weekend, let’s see if we can’t have more luck with the latest round of weekend markets from Paddy Power.

We start things off with a player with just a single fixture in the Gameweek. Theo Walcott is the only such player in our Scout Picks this week and, having scored against United on Sunday, the Gunners flyer will surely face the relegated R’s as Arsenal’s big goal threat. Paddy certainly fancy him to deliver, offering 7/2 on a Theo Walcott goal coupled with an Arsenal clean sheet against QPR. We’ll gladly get behind this, placing the first £3 of our stake on Theo to come good.

Romelu Lukaku comes into the Gameweek off the back of a double point haul in the Baggies’ 3-0 rout of Southampton; not surprisingly, the Belgian has found plenty of backers for his two fixtures in the Gameweek as a result. The home clash with Wigan this weekend is his big opportunity to earn profit, with the midweek trip to the Etihad presenting a far stiffer task for Lukaku and Steve Clarke’s men. Paddy have a Lukaku goal with a West Brom clean sheet against Wigan at 13/2. While we’re not ruling out a goal or two for the visitors, we’ll place a tentative £2 on this one.

Gareth Bale is as “essential” as they come as a double Gameweek asset. He’ll surely sport the armband for the majority this weekend, facing former club Southampton having scored 10 goals in his last 10 league starts. Paddy seem pretty convinced that his run of strikes will continue, offering 3/1 on a Bale goal with a Tottenham clean sheet against the Saints. With Mauricio Pochettino’s side still recovering from the shock home defeat to the Baggies and without the inspiration of Gaston Ramirez through suspension, were happy placing £4 of our stake on this one.

A Spurs clean sheet also features in our treble bet this week, with Paddy dangling 10/1 on a Tottenham shutout together with goals for Sergio Aguero against Swansea and Walcott at QPR. With just a shiny pound coin remaining, we’ll toss it Paddy’s way on this one.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to Paddy Power, then you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

    Currently set-up with:

    Hart
    Baines Demel Kompany
    Michu Mata Bale Lennon
    Ba Tevez Defoe

Wondering whether to bring in a defender for the injure Figueroa on my bench. Can't have any more Spurs, City or Chelsea, so thinking I might be best to keep hold of the transfer for next week and just play Demel, who could quite easily keep a clean sheet?

People in the Arsenal forums seem to think Jenkinson will start again now, after Sagna's dire performance(s) and all that.

Does this warrant a hit of going Figueroa -> Boyce, benching Sagna? (Or R. Martin)

Morning all! Do we think it'll be Monreal's turn to start this week? My options are:

Monreal + Lambert > Kompany + Lukaku or
Johnson + Lambert > Kompany and Defoe

As much as Arsenal's fixture is much nicer, I'm wondering if this 50/50 chance is worth worrying over for the remaining fixtures. I have Clyne to come in should he not play.

        Thanks doos
Selling RVP would give me more cash to throw around this week of course but I'm also setting up for next week too with couthino benched and just enough cash for the default michu wally trade

anyone else benching davies this week? Even if he starts both I don't like swansea for a CS in either game and don't want to miss the GJ explosion...

Team ready even tho no Chelsea? – 0.7 in bank

    Jussi (NEW)
Baines (liv) – Kompany* – Dawson*
Gomez* – Bale* – Silva* – De Guzman*
RVP (CHE) – Lukkaku* – Bentekkers (nor)

Bench Bunn – Felli – Wilson – Fig

Not too worried about having no Chelsea as rotation risk and tough fixtures!

Could do Baines > Luiz (-4)
