Cesc Fabregas has this evening suffered an injury that saw him replaced after just 14 minutes of the Premier League clash with Stoke.

Details on the injury are sketchy right now but fears are mounting that the Gunners skipper may well have sustained further hamstring problems. The severity is not yet clear and, given Arsenal’s forthcoming fixtures – the Carling Cup Final and the Champions League second leg with Barcelona – we can only hope that his withdrawal was partly precaution. That could well be wishful thinking.

In Fantasy terms the injury is ironic to say the least. Robin Van Persie was ruled out of tonight’s game with his own hamstring injury, a cruel blow for those who captained the Dutchman for Arsenal’s double fixture in gameweek 27. Those who skippered Fabregas going into the gameweek have now suffered a similar fate with the Spaniard returning just 8 points in total.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Is it worth taking a 4 point hit to get in Silva? Would only have 10 without him..

So after all the Fabs - RVP chat, the right captain in the end was... Charlie Adam. 🙂

But before the game i was hoping he wudnt do anything, therefore less people (especially my rival) would look to him.

So im taking the gamble, Wigan away is hardly similar opposition anyway, tonight he was pushed out on the left

It's possibly not *so* gutting that the Arsenal players are dropping like flies.

It could help strengthen fantasy managers' resolve to transfer them out rather than potentially be forced to field a 9 or 10 man team in the next GW.

For this week I have Djourou, R Johnson, Adam, VdV, Cesc, and RvP all out for one reason or another. Leaving me with a max of 7 outfield players to choose from. Some very difficult decisions to make in terms of how many 4-pt hits to take.

add Varney and Cahill to that list and welcome to my world. I reckon I'll be making 4 transfers. Not quite sure who yet though.

Precisely. Those who planned ahead would of had RVP Fabs Walcott and VDV out this week anyways (Those who are unlucky enough to own them (In a way)), I have tried posting about this but my thing is being gay. I have two free transfers and have them four above, and Adam, also I have Vela who is a rotation risk. Just makes it easier getting rid of Fabregas to be honest. I'm not actually bothered at all by the injuries.
