Sunday’s inaugural Fantasy Football Shield final will be contested by former FFS Cup Winner “Fuzzy Dunlop” and “Mr KK” following Gameweek 37’s semi-final matches.
Fuzzy progressed to Sunday’s showpiece courtesy of a hard-fought battle with “Eunuch Jelly” with points hits the deciding factor on show. The “Jellyman” took an eight point hit, fetching in Theo Walcott, Frank Lampard and Victor Anichebe for Michu, Eden Hazard and Jermain Defoe. While that move offered him profit, it wasn’t enough to overcome Fuzzy Dunlop’s squad as he brought in both Walcott and Daniel Sturridge with explosive effect. That Sturridge transfer made the difference as Fuzzy ran out the victor by five points.
“Acquafresca’s” extraordinary run of cup form came to an abrupt end in his semi-final, as Mr KK flexed his high-rank muscles to see him off by a six point margin. Acquafresca made a positive move by bringing in Lampard but decided against taking a hit going into the tie, keeping faith with Romelu Lukaku and Carlos Tevez up front. Mr KK traded Lukaku for Sturridge with his free transfer and the rest is history.
Good luck to our two finalists – there’s a £100 Amazon voucher up for grabs for the winner, with a £50 voucher lined up for the runner-up.
