Following City’s stuttering victory over Hull, there are four three o’clock kick-offs to help pick up the momentum, before Crystal Palace host Sunderland in the tea-time encounter.

This afternoon’s matches aren’t exactly bristling with Fantasy potential, although Everton’s trip to Cardiff will be of key interest given the ownership of Leighton Baines, Seamus Coleman and this week’s speeding bandwagon, Frazier Campbell.

Not surprisingly, after the victory over City, Cardiff boss, Malky Mackay keeps an unchanged lineup. Roberto Martinez starts with both Baines and Marouane Fellaini, despite speculation on their future at the club, as the Toffees also field an unchanged side to the one that drew 0-0 with West Brom last time out.

Up at St James’ Park, Alan Pardew is able to call upon Johan Cabaye for the clash with Fulham, although the Frenchman only makes the bench following his in-house dispute with the club. The Magpies are otherwise unchanged. Martin Jol makes several tweaks to his visiting Fulham lineup as Bryan Ruiz, Darren Bent and Alex Kacaniklic all earn starts; Damien Duff, Adel Taarabt and Pajtim Kasami are the trio to drop out.

Chris Hughton makes three changes to his Canaries teamsheet for the visit of Southampton to Carrow Road. Seb Bassong and Robert Snodgrass return as expected, while Johan Elmander makes his full debut having notched twice in the midweek Capital One Cup tie. Significantly, Steven Whittaker keeps his place at right-back, as club captain, Russell Martin is the man to drop out. Alex Tettey and Jonny Howson are the other pair to make way. The Saints give Pablo Osvaldo his first start with Jay Rodriguez making way to the bench. Luke Shaw is seemingly only fit enough for a subs role as Danny Fox starts at left-back, while Calum Chambers is again preferred at right-back to Nathaniel Clyne.

Finally, West Ham are another side left untouched. Sam Allardyce keeps faith with the men that earned him a point at Newcastle as the Hammers take on Stoke at Upton Park. Mark Huhges rewards Kenwyne Jones for his midweek hat-trick with a start up front. That’s the only change to the Potters lineup that ran out 2-1 winners over Crystal Palace last weekend.

Our Dugout Discussion chatroom remains open throughout these matches and into this evening’s clash at Selhurst Park.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Wildcarded to this:

    Loris, (4.0)

    Toure, Coleman, Ivan, Zabaleta, (chester)

Walcott, ward prowse, Ben Arfa, Brady, Gunnarsson

    Soldado, Benteke, Van persie

433 formation. Personally i think there is a decent rotation in that midfield.

Anyone have any guess on the average?

None of today's goalscorers have huge ownership:
    Negredo 2.7%
    Yaya 17%
    HBA 4.5%
    Redmond 1.2%
    Pennant 0.8%

I guess lots of people own City defence and Coleman/Everton defence though.

    Average of 15-20?

I would happily like to report that I'm up / net 7pts in spite of taking 8pts in hits.

    Morals of the story here:
-Taking hits to field DGW players isn't a necessarily bad proposition
-We don't have to be so hasty to use our WC in order to "fix" our team

I'd rather net 7pts, have my team set to where I wanted it before the DGW & keep my WC in my back pocket for a rainy day.

I'm thinking Christmas DGW season coupled with my January WC; how bout you?

Also helps when three of your players transferred out are on a blank, right?

Ooh, & I avoided suffering any price drops too which has got to count for something.

On the whole though, I learned it'd pretty tough to over come an 8pt hit without the DGW / Blank combo.

Dzeko has gotten an average of 14 goals & 6 assists in 1650 minutes per season the last two seasons.

That's a full season's production for many strikers in his price range in half a season's minutes.

Don't get the rush to drop him. If his minutes just go up into the low 2000s, he'll be a bargain at his price.

It's the fact he'll have too many 1pt 'super sub' appearances is what's important here.

This directly affects us being able to properly utilize our bench, right?

Finally, we'd surely rather have 90mins week in week out of Lambert than spotty appearances by Dzeko...

I like it but, you'll do your head in choosing who'll to play at the back each week.

Further, are we sure the BPS barrage for defenders will continue when teams win 2 or 3 nil?

Look at the BPS for the MCI & NEW game... Two defenders garnered only 1 BPt a piece.
