The international break can be used for many things – some Fantasy Managers take the time actually spend time with their spouses, other folks will simply go stir crazy without the rush of bonus points or some form of assist-gate scandal to cling on to at weekends. The Premier League and their clubs, however, do not rest on their laurels and behind the scenes, two of the four games postponed from gameweek 33 (due the the FA Cup semi-finals) have today been rescheduled…

Newcastle will now play host to Manchester United on the night of Tuesday April 19. As we had assumed was the case, this places the fixture firmly back into the midst of gameweek 33 from where it was originally shunted; that means that neither the Magpies or Red Devils will face a blank fixture.

Manchester City do keep their blank in that gameweek however and, as predicted by some prophetic soul, we have had the announcement that their home game against Spurs will take place on the evening of Tuesday May 10.

This date means that game will be tacked onto the end of gameweek 36 and gives Mancini’s men a run of games closing out the season [WHM, eve/TOT, STK] that may see you turn back to Carlos Tevez not long after you have contemplated selling him.

Spurs meanwhile will now have three very tough, and very important, away days on the bounce [che, BPL/mcy, liv] as their run of games becomes all too reminiscent of last season. Redknapp’s men overcame a tough schedule and a double gameweek at Eastlands with aplomb last term, to ultimately qualify for the Champions League. Can they replicate such feats and will Fantasy Managers be tempted by their wares during such times? Odds on another Peter Crouch header to secure fourth spot and all that European bullion are no doubt currently being calculated.

Your seasons tickers will be updated shortly to follow this latest evidence as we wait for the likely word of a gameweek 33 rescheduling for Fulham vs Bolton and Stoke vs Wolves.

That certainly makes gameweek 33 a whole lot easier for me to get 11 players on the pitch without a hit

Perhaps, and there was absolutely no need to be quite so aggressive. But, in the context of the game, the strike rate that Sarwan and Chanderpaul were going at wasn't at all relevant. The only thing important was that they were staying in.

Don't usually plan transfers ahead, but getting funds for lampard in for the DGW needs some thought. was planning on

    GW31 Meireles to Adam
GW32 Young to Lampard, Rooney to Gyan (4pt hit)
    GW33 Carr to Luiz

Carr does have a DGW, but already have enough birmingham cover at the back.

    Thoughts?

I hate it when there's no footie! Being forced to bet on the cricket instead!

Thinking about backing India to score more runs in the first 15 overs than Australia at 8/11. The Aussie quicks always go for runs, and if the South Africa game is anything to go by (their attack is reasonably similar to Australia's) then India could easily get off to a flier without even trying. Plus Australia can get bogged down against spinners, like against Zimbabwe.

Also thinking about backing Clarke to be the top scoring Aussie at 4/1. He's probably been in the best form out of any of their batsmen this series, and he's also by far their best player of spin.

They don't have anyone to replace Tait with though, do they? Not since Doug the Rug got injured and they called up Mr. Cricket instead.

Just checked, Hauritz is in the squad. Nothing to worry about.

Nick knight was mentioning how the Indian opening pair had scored more runs and at a better strike rate than the aussie pair. Sehwag is a doubt so you best check the teams before making the bet.

I'm intrigued to hear the rest of what Redknapp had to say there. Wasn't watching the build up to the game, but Redknapp's words sounded promising... 'Disgraceful', 'embarrassing'....

who is jizzing over nasri? i can’t see anyone. they were a few months ago because he was scoring almost a goal a game as a midfielder/winger. it also helped that the majority of the goals were all hip-swayingly sexual. but he’s gone relatively quiet for a while now and as a result the hype has almost completely died down except in the most paranoid of minds like your own on this occasion. meanwhile the rvp hype may be something to do with 10 goals, 2 assists and 15 baps in his last 6 games? that does need repeating just to emphasise it’s brilliance i feel, i’ll throw in caps for good measure. 6 GAMES, 10 GOALS, 2 ASSISTS, 15 BONUS POINTS. during which time rooney is still stumbling along in comparison (no shame in that) with 3 goals, 1 assist and 5 baps in the same time. couple that rooney being away to a completely rejuvenated west ham side whilst rvp is home to form-table stinkers blackburn and on paper at least it really is no contest. is this rooney bashing? no, it’s just stating the obvious, to me at least, that rvp is head and shoulders above all strikers right now, not just rooney.
i like rvp and fabregas therefore i’m a closet gooner 😕 i love berbatov and carrick too but I don’t see any arsenal fans calling me a closet man utd fan. jeez luiz 😉

Would you pay to play FPL?

The reason I ask is that I've heard from someone inside the Premier League that there could be a subscription to play next season.

Bonus points aside, this is the best FF game around but its allure is partly based on it being free.

    FFS reaction?
