While David Moyes remained typically coy on Wayne Rooney’s chances of starting against Sunderland on Saturday evening, Paddy Power have every confidence. Indeed, they’re offering Fantasy Football Scout visitors enhanced odds of 4/1 on a Rooney anytime goal against the Black Cats – with his regular odds at 11/10 and with three goals in his last three league outings, this is another great offer for those yet to register a Paddy account.

Click here to get in on this action.

If you’ve already registered an account, you can still benefit from a Rooney Money Back Special from Saturday’s clash – if Rooney scores anytime, Paddy will refund all losing First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer, Correct Score and Scorecast singles on the match.

To be clear, the Wayne Rooney special is limited to a £10 stake and is open to new Paddy Power customers only.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to have a bet, always gamble responsibly.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Unsure why Shaw is being listed as a doubt- manager informs media he was ill midweek and has now recovered? Why report him as a doubt? Back in training since

according to some relieable sources that's the Liverpool team for tomorrow:

    ---------------Mignolet-----------------
    Kolo - Skrtel - Sakho - Enrique
    --------- Gerrard - Hendo ----------
    Sterling ---- Suarez ----- Moses
    -------------- Sturridge ---------------

could also be a 3-5-2 with Sterling as RWB..

Right here's my team for this week:

    Boruc
    Evra, Coleman, Riether, Burner
    Özil, Michu, Eriksen
    Suarez (c), Rooney, Giroud

    Davis; Ward-Prowse, Brady, Chester

It's looking a little weak after Chester getting an injury a few weeks back and now Brady also being ruled out for the next few weeks. Brady is obviously the transfer in need of doing most, which is the better option to replace him?

    Option 1: Straight Swap

This seems the most obvious option. If I was only to transfer Brady out it would leave me with £5.2m. This leaves me with quite a limited range of options.

    Peter Whittingham

In this price range, Whittingham is the only real option. At £5.1m with decent fixtures in the next few weeks, including NEW, nor, SWA and avl in the next 6, Whittingham looks like he could get a few solid returns, especially from his set pieces.

Option 2: Take a Hit and Upgrade

By taking a hit, it allows me to transfer in a player who's in form, and allows me to upgrade Brady to a better midfielder. For example, by getting Lukaku in for Giroud (I know, I really shouldn't be transferring out Giroud and it is seems really kneejerky), it allows me to get the following options in the £6.5m and below price range.

    Aaron Ramsey

At the moment it could be argued that he is the league's form player, and at £6.5m, he seems a decent option in midfield, especially if transferring out Giroud, as Arsenal have very good fixtures coming their way.

    Victor Moses

At £6.3m, Moses is another strong candidate especially with the fixtures Liverpool have. With his direct style of play, he could pop up with a few goals in the next few weeks, or at least supply Suarez and Sturridge with a few assists.

    Jonjo Shelvey

Shelvey could be a differential for Swansea's upcoming fixtures, especially for only £5.6m. He is quite a safe option in the Swans' midfield and has the potential for a few goals and assists over the next few. However he seems less appealing with Michu available in midfield.

    Marko Arnautovic

Playing potentially OoP, Arnautovic could be a real bargain if he settles into the Stoke team. At £5.5m his fixtures are a perfect opportunity for him to build up form.

Option 3: Keep and Wait, and play 4-3-3

This is probably the least favoured option, as the bench is full of injured players and also team value will be lost on Brady, however he may be a good option on his return in a few weeks.

So which is the best option? Any help would be appreciated. Leaning towards Whittingham at the minute. Hope this helps other Brady owners.

    Cheers.

I like Whittingham for this week, but it's hard to justify it since his subsequent fixtures leave very little to be desired...

Aside from the unpredictable away games either side of the SWA game in GW10, it doesn't really open up for them until about GW15 fixture wise...

Saying all that, I'd still favour bringing in Whittingham...

This season has had the weirdest of starts in terms of FPL.

Some of my thoughts, before the start of the season (or misconceptions)

Yaya - He is a defensive midfielder, besides the occasional goal, he is not a fantasy asset and is over priced

Barkley - He is not nailed on

Ramsey - He is a donkey, stay away!

Because of these thoughts and my pride I have stayed away from these players and it has totally screwed me.

After wildcarding in GW 4 I had 4 injured players, took a 4 point hit, and ended up with 890k rank.

have we ever had a weirder FPL season. Btw...most of my players are doubtful!

    Anyone in my boat?

I agree with the first 2 but Ramsey always had the potential to be excellent and injury/lack of fitness has maybe tainted your view of him.
Anyway unownable overpriced players can score well for a while too, just look at Barfa.

3 defenders, 1 to start, 2 on the bench
    Debuchy - at Cardiff
    MTurner - Chelsea
    Coleman - at ManCity

Above is the current order I have them in, but I'm beginning to think Coleman should start. Really don't expect any of them to have a clean sheet, so shouldn't I start the one that could be involved in scoring?

Now i have this line-up with already -4 hits.

    Mignolet

    Shaw-Zabaleta-Coleman-Mertesacker

    Eriksen-Michu-Oscar

    Rooney-Giroud-Sturridge

    Subs: Collins, Tiote, Brady

If Shaw will not play (about Rooney i don`t say) i can`t hope for Collins And Cheik. So, transfer Brady to Ramsey and try to fight with -8??

    Ozil - Michu - Barkley
    Rooney - Sturridge - Giroud

    Lewis - Chester - Brady - WP

Is it worth -4 to get Whittingham in for WP so that I have an active player on my bench to cover any unpleasant surprises this GW ?
