While David Moyes remained typically coy on Wayne Rooney’s chances of starting against Sunderland on Saturday evening, Paddy Power have every confidence. Indeed, they’re offering Fantasy Football Scout visitors enhanced odds of 4/1 on a Rooney anytime goal against the Black Cats – with his regular odds at 11/10 and with three goals in his last three league outings, this is another great offer for those yet to register a Paddy account.

Click here to get in on this action.

If you’ve already registered an account, you can still benefit from a Rooney Money Back Special from Saturday’s clash – if Rooney scores anytime, Paddy will refund all losing First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer, Correct Score and Scorecast singles on the match.

To be clear, the Wayne Rooney special is limited to a £10 stake and is open to new Paddy Power customers only.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to have a bet, always gamble responsibly.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

with his form currently, is Ramsey the BEST midfielder right now? (in real football term)

In real football terms then I say Ozil. Been immense and most of Ramsey's form has been thanks to him (i.e. banging in that rebound in the Stoke match from Ozil's class FK)

Ramsey was racking up points against Fenerbache when everyone still thought the big summer signing at Arsenal was going to be Sanogo, and that was *when* Wenger said Ramsey had upped his game this season in the post-match interview.

They are both playing world class, but ramsey's defensive contribution makes him better atm IMO

It depends what you choose to weigh up. His defensive side has been far better than Ozil's. Ozil, on the other hand, has been the centre of 90% of their attack and is the type of player who really encourages the other players. Numerous times he's passed it off when a selfish player would try themselves. And younger players like Ramsey thrive off having someone so able in the centre of midfield, it's a great relief.

And I haven't in any way been taking credit from Ramsey, delighted to see his return after the downright abuse he got last season.

He's upped his game, never denied that. But his recent play, the talismanic form, you can look at the guy who is pulling the strings for all that. Not just Ramsey though, Ozil has provided a hell of a lot to the likes of Giroud too.

Yaya Toure, too has been putting in an immense shift when City have needed it most.

you just had a lot of injuries like many

think your captain will do you well this week

      solid defense and strikers

Lampard will be a priority to get rid over int'l break, preferably for someone cheaper so you have cash to upgrade either Amalfitano or JWP; unless you have lots of cash

I have no FT and thinking of a -4 hit taking out Brady or HBA for Ozil?

    Or vertonghen in for Chester?

    Mignolet, Given

    Vidic, Coleman, Turner, Turner, Chester

    Michu, Ramsey, HBA, Whittingham, Brady

    Suarez, Soldado, Lukaku

I have £7m in the bank

What do you think? If i do it I'd need to bench HBA??

Sounds to me he is already saying he is playing. From a healt perspective he sounds fine as he carried on the game.

It's just a risk of the cut opening up. Laudrup will not argue with michu and will play his best player and michu will wear a headband like rooney (Which I said he would do for the last few days)

it's my opinion. The fact he is talking about a headband etc says he wants to play and does not see a problem.

As I said there is no health risk otherwise he wouldn't be allowed to continue and they would have ruled him out already if there was.

Not me. I can see Soldado performing this week - just about to give him the armband. Defoe's really biting at his heals now. He's done enough to win a start. So Soldado is, in theory, fighting for his place.

I've got Suarez. Should he keep the armband?

        Well, I'm hovering over a Soldado -> Suarez(c) move for a hit!....

I'm not convinced West Ham will capitulate and Soldado has no form.

Not comparing them as players, but as fpl options.

He could easily score 10, and i said 8-10. Already on two.

Don't believe so. Only really competing with Osman, who has two other positions(wing and cm).

Gibson, McCarthy, and Barry all play deeper. He seems 1st choice now, no reason why it would change imo

If you were happy with your starting XI for the week, but had doubts over several players. Would you ever consider a 4point hit for a player to be 1st on your bench?

Considering it is likely that they will get on and will play in subsequent weeks too. I'm leaning towards no, but just wonder if there is anyone out there who would.

I wanted to keep my FT and have 2FTs for the Int Break... but with all these niggling doubts arising, I'm thinking the astute move now might be to switch Brady with Whittingham just in case...

I don't want to have to rely on Burner and Wilson (who himself might get dropped) coming on and trying to match the points lost by a non starting Rooney and/or Michu...

I think there are merits to using a FT now if I think there is a possibility that I might not get 11 out, which could well happen... or put in another way, I would rather have an extra attacking player in the event another doesn't play...

Anyone else considering a straight forward move like this to guarantee 11 starters?

Both possible strategies. It's a case of weighing up one uncertainty against another.

Personally I'd go with the certainty that Brady is out and get someone else.

My think is similar though without a WC. RVP->Lukaku and one of my MF->Walcott. I will probably bottle it though even if RVP does blank. Very hard to ditch him with SOT, STO and ful to come. Feels like that should be my reward for holding on to him so long.

      logically, yes

think I'm starting Coleman ahead of Debuchy myself, and I think you might consider him ahead of MTurner

my thought is if you have multiple defenders you don't believe will keep a clean sheet, shouldn't you start the one most likely to be involved in scoring?
