With leagues across the Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky Sports, and Sun Dream Team, we have plenty to digest as always. We also look at those who are a little richer after having a great week in our weekly PlayON game:

Fantasy Premier League

Cavan McDonald remains at the top of the Scout League thanks to a 70-point haul last time around. Only three of his XI produced the goods – captain Luis Suarez, Eden Hazard and Adam Lallana scored 57 points between them as Cavan moved to 11th spot overall. Veronika Solymosi climbs to second after producing 68 points. Captain Suarez and a double Everton defence of Seamus Coleman and Leighton Baines helped Veronika up to 743 points so far.

Luke Weston is a non-mover in third. He picked up 62 points last weekend despite handing the armband to Sergio Aguero over Suarez; the likes of Lallana, Coleman, Simon Mignolet and Nathan Baker all picked up points. Hemant Gosavi drops down into fourth spot – he earned 54 points thanks to captain Suarez, Coleman and Nathaniel Clyne, whilst David Wilson completes the top five after racking up 69 points in Gameweek 11. The code to join up is 1580-1106.

Joe Wilkinson climbs to the top of the Fantasy Football Scout members league after picking up 63 points. Again, he had Suarez to thank as captain, while Ravel Morrison and Coleman also chipped in. Luke van Lelyveld climbs to second after a 74 point Gameweek, while former leader Wasana Busby drops to third; captain Suarez and Wayne Rooney were the only two to deliver the points as Wasana slipped to just outside the top 1,000.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Ben Broadhurst continues his stunning season at the top of the Scout League. Currently sitting on 918 points, Ben is not only 89 points ahead of his nearest challenger Thomas Daines, he is now the overall leader in the Sky Sports game – a full 17 points ahead of any other player. Garry Wheeler and Michael Galbraith are joint-third, 10 points behind Thomas on 817 points apiece. The winner of our Sky league, which has extended its lead at the top in the league of leagues, wins £1,000. To join, visit Sky Sports Fantasy Football and key in League Name: FFScout, League Code: 8000112.

Sun Dream Team

Gary Sullivan retains top spot but his lead is down to just three points. His team, which comprises six Arsenal and three City players, now sits on 678 points – Nigel Dodds is his nearest challenger, with Robin Van Persie and Eden Hazard helping him make up ground. Gary Hamilton is a further six points back on 669 points, with the acquisition of Wilfried Bony helping his ascent. To join visit The Sun Dream Team, league name: Fantasy Football Scout, password: ReWOZhn1T1 and PIN: 8061654.

PlayOn

Chris Costa was top dog in PlayON’s exclusive Fantasy Football Scout £2 game last time around. He loaded up on four Liverpool players and also had Robert Snodgrass and Adam Lallana to thank for earning him £38.09. Brady Worton picked up £25.53 in second spot and Steve Porter finished the Gameweek £19.32 richer in third spot.

Fantasy Football Scout Cup

As we mentioned in a previous article, the cut-off point for entry into the qualifying round was last Monday night. We’re busy sorting out the draw behind the scenes and should hopefully have the First Round fixtures with you over the weekend.

Samsung Galaxy 3, just got the 10.1 in. I think there's a 7 in version.Had a Nexus 7, nice tablet but stopped powering up after less than 18 months 🙁

Not much between them , Samsung longs a bit slicker but I ordered my Nexus online in US from Google and got $25 of free apps, check if they do similar deal in UK.

My old Nexus wouldn't run Flash but not sure if new version will. I downloaded a browser called Puffin so I could watch stuff in Flash. He'll be thrilled. Either way if he gets a tablet for Christmas, fair play.

The native You Tube will run Flas ok. But if you're in browsers like Chrome, Opera etc flash won't run in You Tube, Dailymotion and most movie sites. But should run ok in Puffin. But Puffin hangs and crashes occasionally. Nexus 7 is still worth it though. Some tablets are snail paced in comparison.

nexus 7 2013 is the best buy but costs more a bit more than the cheapest alternatives. i had nexus 2012 and it was great but the screen is/was very fragile. i am currently using the tesco hudl because its 119 quid (bargin) but its not really a patch on the nexus 7 2013. the new kindle fire (coming soon) looks good but you miss out on the google play store. i saw argos ad for samsung galaxy 2 i think for around a oner which seems an ok deal.

youtube app is native player, you dont need flash. native apps (and html5) replace the need for crappy flash player.

best buy is nexus 7 2013.

It's members only (I'm not even joking!) but I'll post some key excerpts:

"The Hudl is a seven-inch Android tablet. Priced at £119, it's designed to compete against the likes of the Google Nexus 7 and Amazon Kindle Fire tablets.

Despite the bargain price tag, this tablet does a good job. Tesco has equipped it with a decent specification inside and out to ensure it can stand up to rivals.

The 1,440x900-pixel resolution screen is clear and sharp with bright colours and only some fading when you take it outside in bright daylight. Technically the Nexus does have a better screen with a higher resolution, but we don't think you'll be disappointed with the Hudl's display, especially for the money.

The 1.6GHz processor is fast enough to keep pace when you're surfing the internet or watching a film.

The Hudl has plenty of useful ports and connections - not things you'll find on either the Nexus or the popular iPad mini. It has an HDMI output so that you can hook it up to a bigger screen such as your TV, along with a micro-SD card slot for expanding the memory.

Tesco wants this to be a tablet for all the family. This is reflected in the sturdy design with the easy-to-grip rubber back and bright colours. But some thought has been put into keeping your children safe online too - it recommends Kid Lock & Kid Mode, which let you set up separate accounts with restricted access to apps and content - this should stop little fingers accidentally downloading pricey apps and games.

The battery life isn't bad for a small tablet. You'll get approximately two hours from a half-hour charge.

On a full tank it will last for more than 10 hours when playing video, or just under nine when browsing the web. This is enough to last you through the day without having to plug it in - not bad for a cheap tablet.

The touchscreen can seem slow and it certainly isn't the quickest to flick between portrait and landscape as you change the screen orientation.

Although the rubber back and choice of colours make the Hudl feel family friendly, it means it loses out to the likes of the Nexus in the style stakes. It's not quite as svelte as the new Nexus 7 - it's a little heavier and bulkier.

Pros: Cheap, good screen, HDMI port, micro-SD port, fast enough for web and video

Cons: Bulkier and inferior screen compared with Nexus 7, not quite as speedy as rivals

With reference to the previous scout article, Wilmots has said he took Benteke off as him and Lukaku together weren't working.

    So no injury, basically. Sorted.

Also means only one of Benteke and Lukaku will start in the World Cup. Not sure ho I'd bet on, personally!

He's looked off the pace since coming back - he was probably the worst player in the Cardiff game. Was unlucky the games before not to score (well, more down to being his own fault) but he will come good.

Yeah, missing the penalty against Everton was a pleasant shock for me as it preserved the Coleman CS, possibly my luckiest ever. The Everton defence don't make sense to me, they concede quite a few chances and defend worse against poorer teams. And yet they're churning out the CS for me.

There was the time he became the first to score 100 centuries (a century equals 100 runs) in international matches; the time he played in a World Cup game the day after his father’s funeral, crying behind dark glasses; and the time he helped India win the World Cup for the first time in 28 years.

It was painful waiting for him to get 100 centuries, he was on 99 for God knows how long, I think it was for more than 2 years. I thought he'd never do it.
The stadium he was playing in today has a capacity of 37,000, 20 million people applied for a ticket to see his last game.

Transfers are very slow during two week international breaks and only pick up around televised football and obviously approaching the deadline. Haz only has risen 2.3% today to 81.5%, he could well rise sometime next week so long there aren't too many people getting their fantasy teams out during the internationals tonight. I'd be surprised if Barkley falls before next Friday, if at all.

Every week I think that next week is the week I start making a note of how many transfers are made each day.

It ought to be possible to make a fairly accurate projection of rise/fall dates for a player given their activity on any given day. e.g. given that player A has had X transfers by 12:00 on Tuesday, and Tuesday's transfers are usually Y% of a week's total transfers, they will rise on Friday night.

The reason I haven't bothered yet is that I think it's pretty variable with big influences from televised events and news during the week, so extrapolations have a lot of error. This international break will probably be the least unpredictable though.

I suspect the variation is manageable. Such spikes would largely only apply to individual players who score or get injured, which midweek is reasonably rare. I don't think it would noticeably affect the total number of transfers made during a week.

See how it goes. It'll probably work for a lot of lesser owned players but could imagine it being less accurate for the bigger guns who are more likely to play in CL and receive press attention.

I think I'll try. Obviously any projections would come with caveats that events between now and the projected date could impact them. Still worth doing though.

if any mods about, i tried posting a review of the beach gig to date on that thread but some of it is up for review, not sure if words in it or length, but there is a chance that the same post may come up a few times if they all get posted, is there anything that can be done? my first two segments are on it but third one may be duplicated

Hey JT, unfortunately I don't have the power to see or approve your comments but chances are there's a word or two the filter doesn't like. I'll flag it up backstage to see if someone can release it.

cheers, but may need some scrapped as i put the thing up as whole post first but when it got reviewed thought it may be length so broke it into three segments, but last one i tried posting three times with change of words i thought might be wrong, so dont want to end up with miles of posts sying same thing. not sure if it is possible to delete pending posts

I can look at that. It could be a length issue or a particular word not getting through our filter. I did notice it pop up but there didnt appear to be any paragraph breaks at all so is really difficult to edit.

Could you do me a favour - resubmit...with paragraph breaks - more the better. Make it easier on the eye, Also make sure there's no swearing in it either. I can take a look then.

Assuming Lambert recovers in time for the next GW the would it be fair to say that if JWP is in the starting line up then he is the first choice pick for whatever position he is played in ?..Those stas and kick duties at 4.2 are just too good to ignore if he is, tough fixtures or not...Would that be a fair assumption ?

Looks like I'd have do the trannies tonight after the games as Lukaku's falling in price. How do these trannies sound then?

Rooney and Sess could be better. Rooney is playing further forward and will at least match RVP if not outscore him. Plus that frees up another 2m to upgrade elsewhere.

That's my dilemma. Rooney is a sound option but I have a gut feel about RVP. Moreover I don't really know where to spend the extra 3m after getting Rooney.

gut feeling fair enough but its clear with lots of pl games coming up that rvp wont start them all due to the niggles.

RVP will probably be rested in the cup game vs Stoke and in the CL game.

          Koscielny, Chico, Chester,
          Oscar, Ramsey, Brady, Cabaye,
          Rooney, Suárez, Agüero.

          Daniels, Coleman, Clyne, Moses.

1 FT, 0 in the bank.

Am I right in thinking I should save the FT? Or should I use it somewhere? Thanks in advance for all your input.

I'd be tempted to use it on Moses on the basis that Chester, Oscar and Brady may not play and only Coleman is a decent option off your bench.

Yeah but I'd wait to hear news on Chester and Brady. If Brady is back, Oscar may feature and only Coleman will have to come in for Chester so it will be worth saving. 🙂

What are your thoughts on Snodgrass?

Let me down earlier in the season but, at 5.9 seems reasonably priced given his exploits last season and, potentially, a good nailed-on option over the Xmas period with good fixtures.

I didn't pay much attention to him last season but I recall somebody saying most of his points came during a purple patch. Anybody remember when in the season that was?

I think he's good option, massive assist potential and a decent goal threat.
The main problem is his assist potential is effectively wasted as he has no one decent to assist, This may change if Norwich's strikers start to show a bit of form.

Snodgrass, Sess and Cabaye are all in the same bucket for me. Good options but a punt. Ive gone for Cabaye for next GW and maybe Sess in next. Snodgrass will have to wait but the point about him having players to assist is important.

With a few defender questions cropping up i thought it worth a reminder...I ponted out as part of this weeks falling stars post that WBA and Villa have only four red games in the next twenty between them..Add to that the perfect home and away rotation is McAuley/Vlaar not the way forward ?..it's not bad....Walker and Chico > McAuley and Vlaar for me...Any takers for similar ?

Don't know...but when I do it it'll be for the duration of those fixtures and I don't want to revisit it so going with the safer pick...namely Vlaar.

Wow, thats something close to what I have decided. I have Vlaar though and was thinking of Ridgewell. Dont know if the extra bucks to bring in McAuley is worth it. McAuley seems a better goal threat but the assist potential opf Ridgewell is enormous!
