The current campaign had started so successfully for Christian Benteke. A brace away to Arsenal and strike at Chelsea helped the Villa forward rack up 18 points in double Gameweek 1, as he wasted no time in continuing the form that harvested 14 goals in his final 17 appearances of 2012/13.

Having also found the net against Newcastle, Benteke rolled up to Norwich in Gameweek 5 on the back of four goals in as many matches but a hip problem forced him out of the Carrow Road clash with less than half an hour on the clock and pressed pause on his Fantasy season.

Returning to action from the bench in Gameweek 8, the big Belgian has now gone four appearances without finding the net for Paul Lambert’s side yet, with a favourable schedule on the horizon, has risen in price to 8.9 in Fantasy Premier League (FPL) since the start of the international break. With West Brom, Sunderland, Fulham, Stoke and Palace in the next seven Gameweeks, Villa’s schedule suggests there’s reason for optimism if he can rediscover his form. In this latest article for members we analyse Benteke’s displays before and after injury to assess whether he’s been toiling since his return.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Problem with not playing Ramsey is that if he scores big then you fall back. I would play safe and pick Rambo.

It might relax but really think about giving it up. I wind up reading a lot about this kinda stuff and the damage is really terrible. Good relaxant but that's mostly nicotine, you don't necessarily need to smoke to get that and certainly not cigs (apologies if I seem preachy, I've just spent the past couple of days reading about the damage it can do to the brain and wouldn't wish it on anyone.)

i dont get it.. is there coutinho in your team ? would be mad to get rid of him. if you actually watched the game then you would know that 😛 it was just his first start since returning, he was involved in everything and he had 10 shots at goal! was really unlucky. all that indicates to me that you should keep. or maybe even get him in if u havent got him!

Had Kosh earlier this season and tbf he's a bit of a liability when it comes to bookings. Fancy Evans to do alright in the run up to Xmas and have enough cover incase of rotation (can't see Rio getting a look in, or Smalling for that matter).

Also fancy VP to go on a run now, but agree Rooney is better value.

i'm convinced most international teams are playing with a type of paralysis. everyone's afraid of looking bad in the limelight and that's coming from the managers. all the middling teams are just content to beat the teams they're expected to beat and content to lose to their betters. a few exceptions notwithstanding.

Well back in 02 we had a bit more of that attitude and took a few by surprise. I certainly hope so, MON and Roy have both spent their coaching careers making the most of teams with an average talent level, they hopefully should be able to maximise Ireland's playing ability at least to a point where it is respectable. At the end of the day we're not a big nation and have numerous sports so the number of real quality football players we can produce is limited but I think, at least for me, I just want to have pride in the way my national team plays football again.

So here's the update on my ticket situation ( I'm sure ye have all been highly anticipating this 😉 ).

I'm finding it next to impossible to get a ticket to Arsneal vs. Southampton. My gf booked flights for me and i'll be in London that day so would be a shame not to go it. Now, I need advice.

There is a Tour operator who have packages still available for a hotel for the night and a match ticket for €255. My return flight is 21.00pm the night of the game. Would it be insane to pay the package price solely for the match ticket. I would personally be paying €150 and my gf €100 as that is what she had intended on getting, the match basically.

Is that crazy or should I go for it. I'm moving to Australia in January for at least a year so it could be my last chance for a while. I haven't seen Arsenal in the flesh since highbury, the year of the invincibles! Any thoughts or could ye really not care less? 🙂

Luckily, for once, I actually do have the money available. I just can't help but think in total i'm paying €250 (between us) for a ticket which has a face value of about €50/60. Is a 90 minute game really worth that? I think the experience of it would be unreal but a few people closer to me who wouldn't have the same love for it think i'm mad!

If I look at it like this though it seems a no brainer, I'm getting return flights to London and a match ticket for €150 ( Just for me personally). My gf will have paid €180 in total 😯

      Posted this on another reply to you but might as well pop it here too incase you come back to read through the thread;
Personally I'd say don't pay that kind of money, could be forking out all that dough for a 0-0! Yes you're moving to Oz (congrats btw!!) but there will always be other opportunities to see them, it's not like this is their fairwell season.

I don't know if you've considered this but Fulham v Swansea is on at 3pm the same day, tickets will be cheaper, readily available and could end up being a bit of a goalfest with both teams having leaky back lines? Could end up being a great day out and a chance to visit another stadium in london?

That's my 50 pence worth anyway, whatever you end up doing you'll have a great time anyway because you'll never be stuck for something to do in London.

      Looks roughly 50-50.

I had 2 FTs and have done one so far. That was to get Suarez for Sturridge, which I thought was a bit sideways but Suarez is scoring a lot more atm and the price changes meant if I left it, it would use up an extra .5 of my budget.

What's the real chanfe of a player in your team beings injured on international duty really?

    I know there's a risk, but whats it worth? 0.1m? 0.3m?

Having posted this I suspect my entire team would be yellow flagged tomorrow.

I feel that the chance is very low... any stats?

Eriksen could be about 6.5 by the time he's back! What a bargain he will be when he eventually finds his form!

It's when the 12hr page is there you know the real DZ has kicked in. 2 Hours is just the time between new comments 😉

Lots of seven and eight hour pages last year, in the quiet periods like this.
This year is so much busier with loads more users. I don't know the figures, but it's a lot. I'd guess 2-3 times as many without counting logged on lurkers.

So many are, AoC. The new tie-ins to the games has proved to be a big draw.

It's definitely a lot nicer around here when it calms down. I've become much more of a lurker now the posts are flying. It's the repetitive questions that irk me the most, seeing "Who should I transfer in for Michu/Silva?! PLZ HELP" about 400 times last week almost KO'd me
