Yep. If you are doing it for long-term benefit it can well work out. I did so to get Aguero in a number of weeks ago and it paid off.

I have. Not counting double hits, it worked for me once this year. Didn't work in the past.
I don't just look at points from the first game week. If my team is a disaster and truly needs a re-set, I will do it. Just don't do it on a whim and do it with an eye to a longer-term fix.
Yep. Did a -16 in GW7, and none of my new players did anything. Finished with GW rank of 2+ million. Dropped from 400k to 800k. But since then I got like 7 greens in 9 weeks. From 800k to 60k. It worked in the long run

I've done it a good number of times in both Fantasy Prem and this past year with my first run of Fantasy Major League Soccer. Has worked out quite well for me on plenty of occasions. I just did one last gameweek, actually. Traded Gerrard to Yaya, Ramsey to Fer (yeah that's right), and Fonte to Coleman. Got through pretty well on the end of that, and now my team is better set up and ready to steam power ahead.
Taking 8 point hits really worked out well in Fantasy MLS. Of course, they gave 2 free transfers per week, and more on certain special gameweeks, so that was interesting. And, more often than not, some teams didn't play in a given gameweek, so you almost had to take points hits and make a lot of transfers to stay atop the crest of the wave.

Have decent rotations with Gabbidon and Murner. But also have Ashley Williams and he has terrible fixtures coming up + they don't keep cleanies so need to get rid. Yepp he's actually first on my list right now. Just not sure if he's nailed on.

Did consider downgrading to enable a huge midfield but I've never been a big fan of having team mates in midfield and after one of Silva/Nasri/Yaya, Hazard/Oscar, and Ozil/Ramsey/Walcott there really isn't much else to spend the money on.

Coleman for sure. I've asked a similar question, so not sure after that. I think Ward and am uncertain over Terry/Chester. Think I'm actually leaning to Chester, which seems crazy that I even have Terry anymore if I'm playing Ward & Chester over him.
Coleman is a given I guess. Never bench, never captain 🙂 Currently gone with Chester and Ward although I have Cabaye as well so not sure what to do. Do you think Terry's goal threat from set-pieces is reason enough to start him over Ward?
