After Wayne Rooney grabbed a goal and assist during United’s win at the KC earlier, it’s time to concentrate on a further feast of football this Boxing Day. We’re served up another nine games, with all but one of those kicking off at 3pm:

Romelu Lukaku earned third spot in this week’s Captain Poll ahead of Everton’s home clash against Sunderland. The big Belgian may have failed to find the net in the last four but with Wes Brown suspended and John O’Shea a doubt, he’ll be hoping for a return to form.

Spurs welcome West Brom to the Lane as Emmanuel Adebayor (who finished fourth in the Captain Poll) looks to repeat last Sunday’s brace against Southampton. Chelsea play host to Swansea, with Eden Hazard also carrying the armband hopes of many Fantasy managers into the Gameweek, as will Theo Walcott for Arsenal’s trip to West Ham.

Yohan Cabaye’s new owners will be looking for the Frenchman to maintain the consistency which has served up returns in eight of 12 appearances as Newcastle welcome Stoke to St James’ Park. Elsewhere, Villa play host to Palace, Cardiff go head-to-head with Southampton, whilst Norwich welcome Fulham to Carrow Road.

This leads us on to the final match of the Gameweek, where City’s 100% home record is on the line against Liverpool. The Fantasy sub-plot is intriguing – can Yaya Toure, David Silva and Alvaro Negredo produce the goods at the Etihad yet again? And just how many points will Luis Suarez rack up against a defence that has conceded three times to Arsenal and twice to both West Brom and Fulham in the last four Gameweeks alone?

If there’s one thing that seems certain, the evening encounter at the Etihad looks set to bring goals aplenty. Our Dugout Discussion chatroom remains open for those looking for some real-time banter right up until the final whistle of that last match.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    Current Roster:

    Howard, Myhill
    Jagielka, Lovren, Distin, Debuchy, Baker
    Yaya, Walcott, Ramsey, Sterling, Meyler
    Suarez, Rooney, Negredo
    [£0.3]

    Concerns:

Howard is out and Myhill may not start
Ramsey looks injured for a good while
Too many Everton in the back
    Lovren/Negredo may be out
    Defense is underperforming

    Potential Moves:

    Question 1:
Who is the best Ramsey replacement?

    Cabaye/Whit/Mirallas/Henderson/Fer/Lampard/Shelvey/etc.

    Question 2a:
Is it worth ditching Howard for a -4 and freeing £1.5 in acquiring Mannone?

    Question 2b:
If not; then is it worth a -4 and swapping Myhill for Mannone?

    Question 3:
Would Lovren to Mertesacker be a no brainer for a -4?

    Question 4:
Is it worth a major restructuring to get in Baines and dropping Jagielka? Or getting in Coleman?

    Question 5:
Any defenseman I should consider instead of the ones noted? Or any other trade in general?

    Cheers!

      Yes.

There was little to choose between them at the start of the season, and Mannone has become a key part of our big upturn in defensive solidity under Poyet. Unless we buy a new keeper in Jan, VM is 1st choice.

man do the lino's and ref want to give city any more advantages they already have compared to the other teams in the league. no way did pool deserve to lose that game and i hope others were impressed with that performance and show you guys that were for real and not always say the other teams are out of form etc utd and spurs games. yes we lost to arsenal away but they're our bogey side we don't have the team yet to beat them there.

sterling clear cut goal ruled out and with age better finishing and we would have won that game, the difference maker was kompany as usual the mans a rock when fit and put him in the pool side city would have got nothing. what happen to citys midfield that was going to dominate ours and wheres yaya he went missing. i think us, city and arsenal are certainties for the top 3. pool would have won that game with sturridge and gerrard playing, to think people thought we'll struggle without these 2 shows how good pool have been since they went out and deep inside it must hurt alot of rival teams that were back.

I don't know why you're posting that on this website - people tend to set aside team loyalties in order to choose the right players which'll get the most points in FF. You're defending your team for no reason whatsoever.

Is there no love for Ben Arfa as a punt over Cabaye after today's performance? Cheaper, 2 assists, hit the woodwork twice and had 12 touches in the box to Cabaye's 1 this week. I guess the main concern is him not being nailed? Correct?

      Thinking of

      Etheridge ---> Mannone
      Ramsey ---> Lallana

    Dear Mr Fer,

You are stinking up my team, not creating or doing anything apart from getting the obligatory YC. Please suggest your replacement ASAP.

    Regards
    The Manager
