With Chelsea’s win at the Etihad bringing Gameweek 24 to its conclusion, we delve into the data once again. Stoke’s midfield goal hero, West Ham’s target man, United’s fit-again frontmen and the knock-on effect Liverpool’s downturn in possession has had on a certain Uruguayan all come under our analysis this time around:
How am I looking chaps? 4M in bank.
Mannone (Marshall)
Coleman, Cahill, Ward (Demel, Koscielny)
Hazard, Mata, Yaya, Lallana (Noone)
Suarez, JRod, Sturridge
Cheers!Open ControlsJust finished watching Desoolation of Smaug . Am mad it ended 🙁 Cannot wait until the next one 🙁
Open ControlsSuch a tease, to show us that much... then just stop... 🙁

I really loved the cliff hanger in the end. And what the whole world failed to mention was the fact that Ed Sheeran did the soundtrack for this movie. 🙂Open ControlsI couldnt wait for that film to end.
Open ControlsHaha me too. At least I made it to the end of this one. Mainly cos my daughter insisted
Open Controls
Horrendous film. It was a battle staying awake
Open Controls
To all my fellow Bony owners
Captain him this week. We will enjoy his points together.
Cheers 🙂Open Controlssweet dreams chucky

Benteke (C) anyone ?
Open ControlsPredicted output of sturridge this week?
I'm considering a 1 week captain punt on rvp, losing 0.4m value on sturridge then getting back week after.
Positive: Major Differential
Negative: Value Loss
Waste Of TransferOpen Controls2 transfers*
I don't have that option for free. RVP early shower likely & Fulham will park the bus.
Could be great or a failure.Open ControlsWouldn't do that. Would keep Sturridge if I had him. What a prolific record he has. He doesn't impress me overall, but his scoring record speaks for itself.
Open Controls
Double up on dzeko and negredo?
Open ControlsHi guys!
I'm extremely happy with my overall rank (1.893) and i want to thank you for all the help you always do! Thats my third year play this game and i'm doing very well this year 😉
For this week i'm thinking in replace Bony or safe FT? What you guys think?
Boruc
Azpil Bruce Ward
Mata Yaya Hazard Lallana
Suarez Sturridge Bony
Mannone, Kosc, Noone, M. Olsson
Thanks once again!Open Controlsnice rank, you should be dishing out more advice!
Bony > Dzeko / Lambert / JRod at that price range.Open ControlsOh! I have 3.2 in the bank!
Unfortunately i can't get RVP! 🙁 What do you think about Benteke?Open ControlsHmm, he's a good option but his overall play hasn't been that impressive. He's starting to tick along and has good fixtures, so maybe worth a go!
If you're willing to look past City strikers, Benteke/JRod/Lambert are your guys.Open Controls
Goon on you. It's my 3rd year and I am equally happy to be ranked In the top 2000. For what it is worth I kept bony one more week and brought in rvp (c). I am preparing for it to backfire though.
Open ControlsGet RVP next week against Arsenal? And in the GW28 Blank?
Seems to risky don't you think?Open ControlsFollow your instinct, it got you this far. I went rvp because he is a good captaincy differential this week and guaranteed gw29 followed by a dgw. I don't mind benching him for one week along with mata, mannone and one other
Open Controls
Hi guys. How am i looking please?
Mannone. (Boruc)
Sagna. Parr. Coleman. (Flanagan. Evans
Hazard. Silva. A.Johnson. Lallana. (Pozuello)
Suarez. RVP(c) Giroud
ft used. 1.2m inbOpen ControlsInsane to go into the weekend without City?
From memory City have scored a lot of goals against Norwich in recent times...Open ControlsInsane to go without City but everyone's having the headache of which City striker to choose.
Based on NTI, seems like Dzeko is the popular pick of the masses. But he wasn't exactly impressive against Chelsea. Negredo wasn't fit but might be fit to start the next.
Jovetic is the wildcard. He looks abit awkward in the attack, watched the game and he seemed to be running into the same spaces as Dzeko and Silva. Not sure what his role is in the City attack.
IMO, I don't think Pello will break away from the 4-4-2/4-2-2-2 with Dzeko + Negredo and panic into going 4-5-1. The former formation will still blow away 95% of teams, just that it might not work against a savvy tactical team like Bayern or Chelsea.
Sorry for the lengthy reply.Open ControlsNever apologise for length Shifty … it's a gift
Open ControlsI think Dzeko has to be the pick of the litter given form and price. It's just a matter of justifying whether it's worth taking Adebayor out for a hit given in 3 weeks time Ade has a game and Dzeko has a blank.
Open ControlsAnyone would have found it hard to get through that defence.
Open Controlsnegredo and dzeko is the best choice for man city at the moment, but he will have to play jovetic at some point to get him match fit for the big run of games
i think dzeko is liked a lot by pellegrini and he is still a world class striker. 7m for man city striker looks strange but he is first choice atm i thinkOpen ControlsI think Dzeko is first choice as well. He brings something different to the team. For a man his size, he is very agile and if you watch his positioning, he pulls off from defenders very intelligently to make space.
Negredo on the other hand, is one of those push-the-ball-and-power-past-defenders kind of player. Not very skillful but works very hard to get into the box, and that's why he scores goal.
Both great goal scorers.Open Controls
7-0 in the first game this season 😀
Might play without a city player myself... riskyOpen ControlsI seem to remember 4-3 and 7-0 wins last year too, although I could be mixing my seasons up.

Save my free transfer? Or do I need some City coverage?Open ControlsWhich 1 would you bench this week?
A) Sterling (ARS)
B) Puncheon (WBA)
C) Mirallas (tot)Open ControlsRMR(oll)
A layer of heavenly Cream Cheese, several slices of the finest Roast Beef, topped off with Sweet Chili Sauce and sprinkling of finely chopped Red Onions...
Repeat 3 times...
Hmm... perfect...Open ControlsIf i had either i would keep but Oscar seems to be at risk of rotation long term and Silva is unfortunatly a poor mans Yaya (i have Silva), i dont know the rest of your team but i would bring one of the mid price mids currently in form in - Lallana or Miralles for example.
Open Controls
Either, both should do well over the next few weeks
Open ControlsSilva for me, more minutes and goal involvement (I hope!)

GW16, everyone was saying “Captain Rooney! Man Utd are playing Villa and Suarez has a tough fixture vs Spurs”... I mean it made sense, Spurs had kept 7 clean sheets in their previous 15 games (46%)
The result was Rooney 5 points, Suarez 22 and a massive fall in rank.
GW25, with a sense of deja-vut and everyone saying “Captain RVP! Man Utd are playing Fulham and Suarez has a tough fixture vs Arsenal”... again, it makes perfect sense, Arsenal have kept 10 clean sheets in their previous 24 games (42%)
I wonder what the result will be this time... Suarez (c) for me!Open Controlsstill dosent change the fact that it was the sensible thing to do, bookies odds are that way for a reason.
Open ControlsKeep telling yourself it was the sensible thing to do... Suarez defies bookies odds
Open Controls
Suarez bites Mertesackers nose.. 0 points from C ? 😀
Open ControlsI'm going with RVP. I had Suarez v Spurs 😉
Open ControlsThat's the game in a nutshell. But the fact that Suarez scored big v Spurs on that particular Sunday doesn't necessarily make him the best captain this week than RVP. In fact it's not particularly relevant. However, I wish you luck and will probably join you in captaining Suarez, but I would probably go with RVP if I could afford him.
Open ControlsYeah I get that, just don't think its quite as simple as picking the player with the best fixture as many do round here.... RVP is playing in a team out of form, that's key in my opinion
Open Controlsform is important this season, i'm a fixture person won mini league twice in a row and now i'm 500k
Open Controls
If bad luck was so regular, man utd would be at the bottom of the premier league, the numbers even them selves out in the end
Open Controlsthey're pretty close! 🙂

Same situation as in GW4 when everyone said RVP (C) at home against Palace is a must. As far as I remember, all he got was a penalty thanks to an Ashley Young dive. I'm taking the (C) off Luis though for this week.
Open ControlsFor every situation you have like this (Aguero at home to hull early season another) there are opposite examples. Everyone new Suarez (c) at home to norwich had hatrick all over it and it was....
Open ControlsTrue, but Suarez already had a habit of scoring hattricks against Norwich before that game. Is RVP's record against Fulham similar?
Anyway, I'm not getting him in. It's not as if ManUtd were free scoring and with the blank and potential rotation coming up, I don't believe RVP is worth his price (also messes up team balance).Open Controls
I'm never captain either then RVP, Suarez or Aguero!!!
But that's just me 😉Open ControlsThank you Captain Hindsight.
Open ControlsArsenal is the best defence though. Kosc had Suarez in his pocket at the Emirates. Suarez isnt an educated choice, its playing it safe.
Open ControlsSuarez is the safe option... at home, form, explosiveness, % ownership (captaining)
Open Controls
This could all end in tears, but I think I'm letting my gut rule my head....
Ozil & Benteke -> Sterling & RVP(c) [4 points], to give me....thoughts?
Szczesny
Terry, Kolarov, Clyne
Hazard, Silva, Mirallas, Puncheon
RVP(c), Suarez, Bony
Davis, B Davies, Sterling, Whittaker

Open ControlsNah
Open Controls
Hi Guys at a complete loss with what to do for the best. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. 1FT 0.0 in bank
Boruc
Kolarov Chico Ward
Mata Hazard Ozil Januzaj
Suarez Giroud Rvp
Davies Ki Koscielny ChesterOpen ControlsI'm swapping giroud, i think there are a lot of strikers around who have potential: benteke dzeko lambert jrod
Open Controls
I'm keeping hold of Kolarov for a few more weeks, gotta take the rough with the smooth. At least he's getting gametime and has been unlucky not to grab a few assists.
Good fixtures coming up too, just need a decent bench as backup in case he doesn't feature!Open Controlsno. id prefer Kola for next 3
Open Controls
Good to Go?
Mannone
Azpi Baines Ward
Lallana AJ Yaya Hazard(vc)
Suarez Bony Rooney(C)
Adrian Noone Kosc Mcnaughton
Tempted to play Adrian over Mannone??Open ControlsAlright FFS, i'm off for now. Tried to help and contribute as much as I can, and build some karma points! 🙂
haven't been on these boards the past week much, suffered from some bad last minute transfers. Last question - Pozuelo to Lallana or Mirallas?
Front 8:
Ozil - Hazard - Mata - HBA - Pozuelo
Suarez - Dzeko - JRod
7.6 banked.Open ControlsLallana over Mirallas, but since you already have Jrod, it could be an option to spread the love. Tough one.
Open ControlsLlama
Open Controlslallana has fixtures and form, miralles is away to Tot and chelsea in the next 3 games
Open ControlsYea that diminishes his appeal plenty. Thanks, Lallana it is.
Open Controls
Looking for a short term 4/5th midfielder costing no more than 5.6m to rotate with Puncheon for the next 4 weeks only (probably to start GW26-28 inclusive given Punchy's fixtures....)
Candidates look like being:
a) Sterling (ful, SWA, sot)
b) Sissoko (TOT, AVL, hul)
c) Barkley (CPL, che, WHU)
d) Zaha (AVL, HUL, tot)
Votes please....Open ControlsSteven Jovetic to start against Norwich. What are the chances?

Why 😆 ?
