Was 90 points behind my ML rival, have taken 40 points of the gap so far this GW and i think my team is set out better for the run-in. Is ~50 points too much to make up after this GW though?

  Nothing near. Bear in mind you've still got a lot of fixtures this week, and you cut 40 points from one set of (not even finished) fixtures. If you choose the right players, you could be way ahead come end of the game.
