Having cast an eye over those sides with Strong schedules yesterday afternoon, we now assess those with less favourable fixtures over the final four Gameweeks. The Toffees’ chase for fourth has the potential to come unstuck, whilst the Canaries’ hopes of survival are starting to look slim at best:

Norwich

friskingnorwich35

Four defeats in the last five and with a caretaker manager left in charge for the remainder of the season, the Canaries look in desperate trouble. Sitting just two points above the drop zone, the remaining four fixtures pit them against Liverpool, United, Chelsea and Arsenal – games which suggest Norwich may be staring relegation in the face before long.

Without a goal in the last three and with a single clean sheet in seven matches, Neil Adams’ side are toiling at both ends of the pitch. Those still holding the likes of Robert Snodgrass and Martin Olsson will surely be looking for a way out as their prospects go from bad to worse for the run-in.

Everton

friskingeverton35

Roberto Martinez’ men have the form but the remaining fixtures look testing as the Toffees attempt to pip Arsenal in the chase for fourth spot. United and City are the final two visitors to Goodison, whilst trips to Southampton and Hull will be far from straightforward, given their respective home records.

Kevin Mirallas’ owners will already be eying up an exit route after the Belgian was benched against Sunderland last weekend, whilst those who opted to double up on Seamus Coleman and Leighton Baines may be prepared to let one of the full-backs go at this point. Romelu Lukaku remains capable of delivering the points and blanking unexpectedly in equal measure, but with both United and City set for doubles in Gameweek 37, some will be making plans to part company with the big Belgian as the schedule tightens for the Merseysiders.

Crystal Palace

friskingpalace35

A testing trip to West Ham this weekend is followed by back-to-back home games against United and Liverpool before a visit to struggling Fulham on the final day of the season in what may be a must-win match for the Cottagers. Tony Pulis’ side have surpassed themselves in recent matches, serving up four clean sheets in the last five, whilst Jason Puncheon has come to the fore as a budget midfield option, netting three times over the previous couple of matches.

Whilst Puncheon’s current form may be enough to earn him further starts in our Fantasy teams, owners of the likes of Joel Ward may be happy to bench for those two home games in particular – a recent 12-point haul against Chelsea at Selhurst Park suggests he’s more than capable of upsetting our expectations, though.

Be Wary Of…

Newcastle
Alan Pardew’s side are stumbling towards the finishing line after a series of dire displays. Four straight defeats in a run which has also seen them fail to find the net highlights just how lacklustre the Magpies are without Loic Remy on board – changes to their formation have had little effect and with rumours of in-fighting intensifying, few will back them to take anything from trips to Arsenal and Liverpool. Home games against Swansea and Cardiff perhaps offer optimism – if fit, Remy has shown he could run riot but with a host of injuries still hampering his squad, Pardew’s main men are likely to be given a wide berth.

West Ham
A defeat against Arsenal last night ensures the Hammers are still three points short of the 40-point mark, meaning their survival is not yet assured. Sam Allardyce’s side now square up to a Palace outfit with four clean sheets in five before travelling to The Hawthorns where West Brom have notched three times in each of their last two at home. With games against Spurs and City seeing out the season, our faith in the Hammers is set to dwindle – Kevin Nolan’s owners are likely to move him on after he missed out with a hamstring problem last night, whilst Andy Carroll owners could hold for the next two before cashing in.

Southampton
Three defeats in the last four and with their top scorer sidelined for six months, the Saints are starting to falter as the season comes to a close. Last week’s home loss to struggling Cardiff will have dented confidence in Mauricio Pochettino’s charges – Everton and United are the final two visitors to St Mary’s, whilst trips to Villa and Swansea are afforded an extra edge, with both home sides still looking to clinch survival. Given their consistency over the season, Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert cannot be written off, but with a single clean sheet in five and Artur Boruc still struggling with injury, few will be looking to invest in the Saints backline from this point onwards.

Feeling like I need to stop burying my head in the sand and buy Eriksen. But if my first transfer this week is Yaya to Silva, would you get Eriksen for a hit? I have Sterling + two cheap DGW mids in Johnson and Huddlestone.

(Didn't buy Eriksen last week because I wanted the money for Lukaku to Sturridge or possibly Rooney. Now they are both injured - hurrah! 🙁 ).

Agree Sunderland look terrible. Once relegated I can also see Poyet playing some "experimental" line ups, and Johnson on the bench.

Huddlestone is one of those transfers you do and instantly regret, but it made sense last week when I wanted a big 3rd striker.

It'll have to be for a hit, so that sucks, but I'm thinking Kos. Good games til the end. Already have Ivan and Azpilicueta. Next week it's Coleman to Utd def, mid to Mata or vice versa.

Both you and the OP replied to my post next one up, but yes, this was my original plan too - sell off Lukaku and Coleman.

Sadly injuries to Hazard and Yaya have meant the midfield now needs taking care of instead.

I've noticed (through me owning him and my rival owning Merte) that when both are on the field and Merte doesn't get attacking returns then its Kos who usually hoovers up the BPS - plus he's nearly a million cheaper.

I've seen him topping the charts for such a long time, he's clearly kept focus and performed with remarkable consistency.

What is it that keeps him away from the inevitable temptations thrust his way, women, dirty cash, narcotics.

Also, should he eventually become champion, does he think he will be able to enjoy the game again, having achieved all there is in the game.

Is he a Fergie, or a Ronaldinho?

would also be interested to hear Luke's thought on the Lolo Ferrari if Rooney is fit for the final three.

Question for all of you tonight:-

        My questions:

        1. Will the suspension to Henderson and the injury to Sturridge affect Sterling's game time and who is the best Liverpool midfield option for the rest of the season Sterling, Coutinho or Gerrard?

        2. With Yaya-Toure injured & City resting Silva and Navas for the Sunderland game tonight which is the best City midfield option going forward (bearing in mind DGW 37).

So I was just thinking of who could be potential bargains next season

Was looking at the defenders, thinking who could fall in price - Vertonghen a key man I feel. Started at £7m this season, bap magnet, and under a new manager Spurs might be tighter at the back. If he falls as far as £6m he'd be a proper bargain.
As Spurs have under performed this season quite a few of their assets could be due a price fall which would make them more enticing.

Michu another who should fall in price, Cazorla and Ozil likewise. Walcott hopefully will stick at ~9m which would be good value for money.

Danny Ings or Sam Vokes at Burnley certainly worth a look as budget strikers.

If Newcastle can stop being shite at some point then quite a few of their players could be good options, certainly some cheap defenders, and whatever creative player they manage to sign to eventually replace Cabaye.

Anyone else thought about next season's targets at all?
Or is it just me who's disappointed with my season and looking ahead to the next already?

Newcastle are hoping to buy a few in the summer so if they become more solid there will be value there. Martinez spoke of playing Baines further up the pitch. He could be worth even an increased price then.

Palace defenders if they dont rise too much.

They played this earlier in the season with Yaya, and Milner is more mobile and better defensively than Yaya. I think Pellegrini will look to smash a poor Sunderland, who could well play 5 at the back. But we will see! 😀

He's played deep in a midfield 3 this season, but not in a 2. I think Javi Garcia was so poor against Liverpool that Pelle might go for this lineup. He really should play 2 up front, and I think he will.

So big question, which United defender is the one to bring in for Coleman after this week.

I was initially thinking Evra, but am wondering how likely he is to start every game considering he might be off in the summer. But the rest of the back 4 is a rotation minefield as well!

Considering I have Mannone who I'm happy enough playing I don't really fancy De Gea

next week you will enter "Pick Team" tab and realize that AJ plays Cardiff at home. Will you be so into dropping him then? Also DGW after with Swansea at home in the closing GW.

I think I am leaning towards keeping him...

        Both the options are good

Im selling yaya but I dont have aguero
If yaya is out for the season then do the former one because eriksen is in good form

if Rooney & RVP done for the season, he surely is nailed on in the CF position. Could be a great differential and I am chasing...

      My current team is:

      Speroni(Mannonne)
      Azpi,Shaw,Coleman(Bardsley,McCarthy)
      Eriksen,Yaya,Mata,Silva(Barkley)
      Lukaku,Suarez,Aguero.

I wanna take Yaya out for a hit, but should it be for Nasri or Ramsey or Lallana? And why?

If mirallas starts tonight, then likely rested on sat, probably justifies taking him out for a hit??

especially considering noone is my 5th mid.

I like the sound of that Sturridge news. Already sold Hazard and planning to bench Yaya. With Burner and Bellamy as back up, I was starring down the hit gun
